I can't urge others to avoid this place enough. I'm out $1,000 because of them. To make a long story short, they charged me $700 for a power steering pump, which turned out faulty after two weeks. I took it back because it had a warranty. I lived off of Ubers for 3 weeks while they lied about how long it would take to get the second replacement. Then, that second replacement pump turned out faulty after another two weeks. I hope that this was incompetence and not crookedness... though I think that's wishful thinking. Additionally, one of my Uber drivers during this process told me that his dad had a similar issue. They messed up his car worse than before he took it in. read more

Had a heater hose problem - he fixed it extremely fast. Great guy to work with. They repaired my a/c - they had numerous problems to tend with. 2 leaks in the a/c- debris and dust inside the cab. Monkey Mike fixed them all. I am very satisfied. read more

Came into town for my fathers funeral and explained to this shop I needed TuneUp and AC replaced in a timely manner. They assured me if I dropped vehicle off when they opened they would complete it in one day.. did just that and they let me know they had 2 vehicles in front of me but would get to my truck. The entire day passed and I reached out a few times and they had not even looked at my truck. Just went to pick up vehicle and found 2 "mechanics" eating candy in office and absolutely nobody even in the shop. Joke of a shop and not even sure how they would keep the lights on. I took my car in it had a oil leak they charged me $1400 to replace the oil pump and get it a week later and it's still leaking oil worse, took it back and they wouldn't even look at it had it sitting for a whole week and never looked at it, took it somewhere else and they said they overcharged me they would of rebuilt my whole motor for that price, oh and they were trying to get me to replace my whole motor for 5500$ at first read more

My passenger side window broke and wouldn't roll back up! I had it covered in duct tape as a temporary solution, and I took it to Monkey Mike's after seeing a good review! It took less than 24 hours for my car to be fixed, and the price was very reasonable! I would definitely recommend this place and I'll be going back anytime I have car troubles! read more

Had a water pump replaced and parts and labor was the least expensive of anywhere else. They had to keep it overnight and made sure it was inside the garage. Unfortunately my ac didn't work when I picked it up and they took care of the problem without hesitation and no extra charge. A big thank you to Mike for making sure I could get back to Fort Worth safely and as quick as possible. I will take my truck back there if I am ever back in Lubbock and need an excellent mechanic again. read more

The people were really nice..but I took my car to their shop because it would not go. They Never call you back even when they say they will , you will have to hunt them down to hear results. I was charged 700 bucks and told they did engine repairs.. it was not all for the engine. a 58$ oil change!!! and something with my air conditioner and engine thermostat.. which by the way was not over heating! I left that lot and called about pricing for whatever was left on the car.. was told they would call back "they did not!" Not a few days later it was going out on me and I was out 700 bucks. Worst Customer Service I've ever encountered. Went in at 9:00am for brake job. They took my keys and I waited 45 minutes before I got fed up. The one mechanic on duty was wandering around smoking and drinking coffee. The owner was talking to Matco Tool Guy, no one had even looked at my car or minded to tell me they were waiting on a dead beat employee to show up for work that was suppose to begin at 8am, instead it's 9:45 and I am wondering how this joke of a shop is still open for business. I had my car towed there recently, and even though they were not able to actually fix my car (german) they were able to diagnose what is most likely wrong with it. They also did this free of charge! Would most certainly take my car back if necessary. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I took my vehicle to this auto shop on Tuesday 5/26/20 and was told that they had to order a part that would be in Monday 6/1/20. Since we did not hear from them that Monday or Tuesday we called them that Wednesday 6/3/20 to check the status only to be told that the wrong part was shipped to them and they had to wait for the correct part and it should be there Tuesday 6/9/20 so again we heard nothing from the shop so called on Thursday 6/11/20 and was told the car would be ready that evening...but low and behold it was not. They called at the close of business on Friday 6/12/20 and said another part needs to be ordered and will be there Monday...well today is Wednesday and needless to say we still do not have our car. Just received a call from the shop and they are towing our car to the Dodge dealership because THEY HAD NO CLUE on how to fix our truck. We've been without our truck for 3+ weeks. Given that there are 1,000 auto shops to choose from in the Lubbock region, I would highly recommend avoiding this one. I had to actively try to gain the attention of the front desk girl, who was on her phone, rather than paying attention. I told her I was going around comparing quotes from different companies and asked about their competitive prices, she proceeded to roll her eyes at me. The apathetic owner sat feet away on his phone, not concerned about the lack of service. It did not take me long to thank them for their time and take my business elsewhere, neither tried to approach me on my way out. I went there recently to have my headlights checked after going to a parts store and failing to diagnose the problem. The gentleman at the desk was going to charge me a $35 diagnostics fee (which is very reasonable considering what most places charge these days) but when I told him my problem, he said he'd have me talk to Mike so that if it was an easy fix I wouldn't have to pay it. Not five minutes later, Mike came out and said my bulbs had burned out, and that if I got two new ones he'd put them in immediately and it'd only cost my $10.
