I say, "oh well, must've been a leftover sign, guess it's still over. No big deal." At that moment, Mr Manager walks through, and the employee pointed out the sign to him. He looks at me, looks at my items, and gets NASTY. "We went through this yesterday, she knows that sale is over, I gave it to her yesterday, I'm not doing it again today! She knows!" (Keep in mind I NEVER asked for them to honor the sale, he just assumed and went crazy.) I say "I understand sir, I'm not trying to argue with you, I had just asked the employee if there was a new sale, since I saw the sign again." He goes "NO! It's an old sign, I gave it to you yesterday, not doing it again today, YOU KNOW THE SALE IS OVER!" During this entire exchange I never raised my voice, I never asked for anything, never demanded anything, I was perfectly fine paying full price. All I did was ask the employee if there was a new sale. Never in my life have I been treated that way over a $1.50 item. Nasty, rude, Jerk. And unfortunately it was completely unnecessary. Save your rage for someone who actually gives you a hard time. Very kind and helpful employee, but very confrontational Jerk manager.
