My experience with Mario's is different than people who stop in during normal hours but I want to…read moregive credit where it is due. And it is certainly due to Mario's and owners. A large group of us attended an event called Firebird Days in Pontiac. One of the events was a group lunch at Mario's on a Sunday afternoon. This place doesn't normally open until 4:00 on Sunday's, but for our group (200 people came to the event; not all went to the luncheon) they opened just to serve us. They were friendly, keep the salads, drinks, and pizzas flowing, and all for a reasonable price. Usually, when I attend a pizza buffet, they put out the cheap stuff - pizzas very light on cheese and toppings. Not so for our event, the pizzas were fresh, hot, generously topped...and delicious! The owner even came out and told us a little about the history of the place with his grandparents and the original Route 66 passing by the storefront. My hats off to the owners and staff!

Simply perfect. We…read moretried the London Timmy with extra sausage, and it was the best surprise of the night. The fenugreek added an incredible depth of flavor, tying everything together beautifully, and the sausage was absolutely delicious. Our second pizza was The Puff Formerly Known As, which was equally impressive. The hint of lemon zest made every flavor pop without overpowering the pizza. The dough deserves a special mention: light, beautifully fermented, and made with Caputo flour, resulting in the perfect texture and bite. I have to admit--I never expected to find one of the top three pizzerias of my life in Eureka, but I did. A huge thank you to Bob for welcoming us into your beautiful and authentic restaurant.

I ate a burnt, rock hard sausage pizza. I paid $2 for each topping that I didn't get. The "owner" called me and was very rude. I can immediately hear the aggression in his voice. We ordered the pizza using the app, Slice. He stated he heard my recorded phone conversations with slice and he doesn't believe any of it all. He said I refuse to refund one single penny and the only thing I'll do is remake it. Remake it so he can spit on it? It's now 8pm, and too late for another pizza. I said honestly, after this experience, I'd never order from you guys again. He snidely says, breaking up is hard to do isn't it? I mean how do you keep customers coming back by burning bridges like that? I said why are you being that way? He just says do you want the pizza remade or not? I said no and hung up. Slice can't do refunds. I'd definitely not order from this place ever again. If you take your chances ordering from them, you've been warned. Look at my pictures and tell me if you see any Italian beef or vegetables on that pizza? Imagine that nice hard burnt crust cracking off a tooth as well.
