I love that their stuff is 100% cotton and it hold up well. I recently came back to get summer t-shirts and found they had a ton of prints but not as many solid colors like the had in the past ( like solid lemon or mint). Same goes for leggings...I wish they had more color options. The prices are reasonable and even better if you are able to shop when there is a sale. If you are buying for a new baby keep in mind they run small. They will box and put bow on anything you need wrapped. The sales associates are always super nice and helpful with seeing if they have extra sizes in the back. Parking on Halstead can be a bit tricky on weekends. read more

I ordered baby clothes online from Monica + Andy on June 25 for my niece's baby shower. A few days ago, I realized that everything else, from other stores I'd ordered from afterward, had arrived but still nothing from Monica + Andy, so I contacted them. The first three responses were essentially "we're overwhelmed, but your order will eventually arrive, but will monitor your order," even after I requested more specific information. The last response, today, was finally [p]ackages are expected to ship in the next week. Once the package is fulfilled, it will ship via standard shipping which typically takes between 2-10 business days to deliver," with a continued promise to "monitor" my order, whatever that means. As a result, the tons of baby clothes I would have ordered from Monica + Andy throughout this baby's babyhood will now be ordered from one of the many, many companies that actually cares about my orders. Literally the greatest kids clothing store and they are local to Chicago which I love. I love how their clothing is free of chemicals commonly found in clothing so it is super safe for babies and young kids. The quality of the clothing justifies the costs and not to mention their prints are SO CUTE! It is a go-to place for gifting and honestly, I always seem to pick something up for my family as well. This is a great store to get a baby gift. They have really cute prints and their fabrics are very soft. They have cute clothes for both boys and girls. I have also taken my baby to a music class at the stow with Tim, which was really fun. They have a full changing table, which is nice, as there are lots of babies in the store so diaper changes are easier. read more

Anytime I've gifted everyone compliments their adorable and thoughtful gift packaging. Wish I had pictures to show, but my friends have never sent me any. Recently I purchased a monogrammed blanket as a gift, that was made rather quickly and received earlier than I expected, which was great! It would be fun to see what the gifting packaging looks like by creating a brief description on the website of what generally gifting looks like to the recipient. I discovered this shop when they did a pop up shop in Oakbrook, I was so sad when it ended and I found out their shops are in the city. Luckily, they do online ordering and assist you if needed! Too cute! I love this place and I don't even have kids. I stopped in to get a gift for a friend (who's a new mom) and could not stop smiling. I was greeted right away by a friendly staffer but was a little distracted by the live music! There was a small group of mom's and their kiddos in the back of the store enjoying a live guitar sing-along. The clothing and blankets available in the store are on the pricier side but so adorable (hello, unicorn onesie). I bought two baby beanies ($13 each) and they were beautifully gift wrapped for free. I noticed signs for free prenatal yoga on the weekend and a monthly calendar of other classes as well. I wish I had taken photos because the store, the decor, and the products were so cute. Like I said, I don't have kids, but I'll find a reason to come back to Monica+Andy. read more

Really cute things on their website BUT the site itself has aggravating glitches that cost way too much time to shop and complete and order. Once you do complete the sale, they forget to send a receipt or any type doc confirming the sale. Then expect to waitt for any notice of shipping. Way too disorganized for me. Just visited the store browsing with my husband. We're expecting our first baby and looking for an outfit to take them home from the hospital. Upon entering, the two sales girl said hello but that's about it. Not once did they leave to desk to ask if we needed help finding anything or if I had any questions. Still haven't received an order I placed on March 20. Granted, when I placed the order, I assumed it might take a little longer to ship but I am at almost 4 weeks from order and still nothing. A shipping label has been created (3 weeks post order) but the carrier still hasn't picked up the box. Reached out two times - both times was told 'it's shipping next week.' Second time, gave me a $10 or $15 cert for my next order to thank me for patience. This order was a gift and both dates for which it could have been given have passed. I had to order something else for my granddaughter's first birthday because I am STILL waiting on this. It would have been nice if notice had been on the website stating shipping was running over 4 weeks as I would have looked elsewhere for a gift.
