Each and every time I visit Thayer's gym, I feel the 'hurt so bad, but oh so good' for at least 3 days! What I appreciate about Thayer is the fact that he takes his time to explain all workouts prior to the rounds and he walks around assisting people and ensuring that we're doing the workouts correctly in order to prevent injury. He's there with us every step of the way. The workouts are well-timed and at a great pace. It's a family environment there. Trust me, you will get a full body workout each and every visit and you will feel great inside and out when you arrive and when you leave.

JS, the owner, and his team of certified trainers taught me how to train efficiently. I only work out three times a week for 30 minutes, and it's been enough to completely change my body. I'm down about 20 pounds on the scale, but what really surprised me is the actual body change: roughly 30 pounds of fat gone and around 15 pounds of muscle gained. I feel stronger and healthier than I ever expected from such short sessions. The trainers are super nice, knowledgeable, and always there to help or encourage you when you need it. It never feels intimidating, just supportive. JS also just built a brand-new 3,000 sq ft facility at 2250 Lee Road in Winter Park, designed only for personal training. It's clean, modern, and honestly just a great place to work out. I really love it there. If you want efficient training with people who actually care, Darwin Fitness is worth checking out.

Better back = better mood. __________________________________ This is my first time doing Pilates. And after 3 sessions with Lily of Pilates Center of Winter Garden, I can see that this is going to be different from any other workouts I've done. I go to the gym weekly for cardio, weight and flexibility training. Lily's focus on proper body shape, alignment and movement has me using my body in strategic ways to counterbalance my other workouts. She took time to diagnosis my current body posture in order to create a customized Pilates workout: We are strengthening weaker areas and stretching less flexible muscle groups. I'm already feeling a difference. In addition to the in-studio Pilates time, Lily has given me new stretches to do for when I'm weight training on my own. These stretches are helping to maintain the progress we've made through Pilates in correcting my muscle imbalances. The studio is clean, bright and fresh. The location is easy to find and there is private parking. Plus, the equipment is brand new. I'm excited to watch my body change for the better in future sessions at Pilates Center of Winter Garden.
