While dropping my handicap 82 year old mother who walks with a cane off at her place in the Monaco Apartment complex, Chino after having double eye surgery and walking her to her apartment (while parked in the red) a tow truck driver drops the tire break locking my back tires and connecting my car to his truck refusing to release my car until I pay him $250 dollars! Both Monaco's manager Gayle and Classic Tow Service team all lack empathy, compassion, and overall kindness. No one in this case ever showed us any sympathy during this unfortunate situation. They are all the worse human beings I have ever met! DO NOT MOVE HERE, management and staff are awful!!!!! read more

this place is under new management and if your a visitor here and park in the visitor parking you will be towed, management has a kick back from the tow companies hired to tow the senior that live here.. pure evil for the seniors that live here i don't recommend living here read more

I have lived here almost 4 years and have been pleased with the service here. Ana Morales is an awesome property administrator. She left us for awhile and went to another one of Monaco's Apartments Complex, but so glad she is back with us! She always has a warm friendly greeting smile to welcome you! Larez Hoesley has recently joined the Monaco's team and she is a very welcoming, full of energy, smile bigger than the sun. She is always complementary on how I look (even on my worse looking days). Maintenance is awesome. Always quick to respond and very knowledgeable in what they are doing. Special shout out to Armando!! I see there are negative comments, especially regarding the cars being towed. As long as the person residing here follows the rules there is no issues with them being towed. As long as the person residing here informs their visitors regarding the parking rules there is no problem. I don't know anything about the tow service coming at 10 mins before 11pm. That needs to be addressed with management. We do pay monthly for our assigned parking spaces. So, yes, if I come home and someone is in my parking space I will call the tow service. Thankfully I haven't had to do that. The comment on Aug 31, 2024 regarding the "office lady was vulgar when the Amazon driver asked for access to the customer door" there has been a change in management in the past. We have been through 3 managers in the past year. It was sad when we lost Nancy as our manager, but so glad for her that she was able to retire. The new management team goes above and beyond to make this "home" for the residents here. They are offering more activities for the tenants. We have potlucks, dance classes, and there is a community room with TV and plenty of books for reading. The only reason I gave a score of 4 is because the hallways carpets are nasty and filthy looking, despite Elkie's best attempt to keep them clean. Elkie is the only housekeeper they have for both Monaco apartments Villa Serena Apartments. Plus she also goes to their other local apartment complex. She is the BEST!! Superior to none!! Shout out to Elkie! I have been told that they are replacing the carpet with tile sometime this year. read more

They have a contract with a shady towing company Classic towing, a cash grab fraud. Makes you wonder who in the corporation is in it -and put him/her in jail for this scheme. I was helping my brother move some items on a Saturday after 3PM and parked my car on visitor space which allows 40 hours "with a permit."- went to the office to obtain--but it was closed. Sunday- office was closed. Went to run some errands all day, returning at 7:00 PM and parked again on a visitor park (my car has a duly issued handicap tag by the CA DMV-- 5 and a half hours later my car was towed by their shady towing/parent company. I pay $520.00 cash, no credit cards allowed- their storage place is in upland where there are no signs of any kind about this towing business, like name of the company or address- no office, just a small rented space where their store your car. Pay the fee and the thug who released my car kept my registration probably to sell it. someone will investigate this and put an end to this abuse of seniors. read more

We love our home. The building is being maintained and the management really care. This is our forever home.

Around 12:50 pm on Aug 31, the office lady was vulgar when the Amazon driver asked for excess to the customer door. I can't understand why she had such a disrespectful attitude. But I am sure she is not the person who can provide good service to the residents. read more

Having lived here for years I'd have to say moving here was one of my better decisions. The staff, Nancy and Ana, really care about the apartments and residents. They resolve any maintenance needs in a minimal amount of time. The apartments were designed with Chino's climate at the forefront: brilliant. Modern windows and thick walls keep outside sound to an absolute minimum; for all intents and purposes it is quiet in here. :-) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Monaco Apartments to family or friends. read more

I am leaving this review for family member who passed away. The people working in that office, and they know who they are should be ashamed of themselves a family member dies. They try to take advantage of you to get extra money, not providing paperwork at the time they were notified that the lease would be terminated. A formal complaint will be filed against each and everyone of them. So Renters beware anyone looking for apartment stay away from this place. read more

Today I had a problem because my dishwasher wouldn't turn on after I put all the dishes in there. I went to the office and it was closed. It's hard for me going back and forth due to a bad back. I was going back to my apartment and I saw two men drinking coffee. One left so I asked the other one if he was part of maintance. He said yes and I told him my problem. He said he would come and look at it for me right then. I was so surprised and grateful. A big thank you to David Sanchez. Great customer service!! read more

The most beautiful apartment homes! The entire office staff was so helpful during my move in! Everything at Monaco is amazing!

i love this community. Ana and Stacy in the office are amazing, they always take great care of anything I need!

My in laws live here & it is the worst place for seniors to reside in!!! Super overly priced apartments. Charge the tenants for a parking spot on top of rent and fees. We visited & our vehicle was towed because they are contracted with tow company!! My in laws pay rent on time & do not leave their apartment & they have so many strict rules regarding visitors even if they are nurses or in home care givers. Office staff have been rude to my in-laws & take advantage of their kindness when my father in law would be kind & take them lunch & snacks. Currently looking to breaking the lease & get them out of there. Once i couldn't get a hold of my in laws & asked office if the could do a courtesy check & declined rudely! Not senior friendly! Shame on them for taking advantage of humans! read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE OR LET YOUR LOVED ONES LIVE HERE. Listen to the previous reviews! This place is terrible! The staff is extremely unprofessional, rude, and impatient with the elderly people they are supposed to be serving. Customer service does not matter to them since they are the ones with the power over the vulnerable residents. They will Nickle and dime you for everything. Putting boxes in the trash chute will come with a fine. Why not make your facility easy and comfortable for your elderly tenants? The ladies in the front have nasty attitudes. This is the consensus amongst the tenants. So don't dare ask them a question because you will be made to feel as though you are bothering them and wasting their time. The absolute worst part about this property is the parking situation. This issue alone should be the reason why you DO NOT rent from these people. They have no parking in the front for visitors beside for "prospective tenants". They claim to have guest parking inside the property but this is not true. Every space in numbered and you will be towed immediately. This is done solely for profit. They stand around waiting for people to park so they can call their tow truck company. They receive a commission for every car that is towed. My girlfriend and I were helping her parents move things out of their balcony before they got fined for having "forbidden" items (cases of water, household items, etc..) and we ended up getting towed in a very short period of time. Two cars for a total of $1010. As we went outside to leave we noticed our cars were gone and another car was being towed. The person being towed was a tenant who spoke very broken english and was yelling at the manager on site that he lived there and was even giving her his apartment number. She could have asked them to drop the car, we even heard her whisper to another staff member "Should I tell them to drop it?" She proceeded to do nothing but lock her self in her office and let a tenant get towed. Such cowardly, predatory behaviour. If you don't have the patience or compassion to work with elderly people, simply DON'T. Save yourself and your loved ones the grief. Do not give these people anymore business. They're doing just fine with the amount of cars they get towed daily. read more

I have lived here for a year and just renewed my lease for another year. In being honest, I had thought about moving but because of this hot weather it is just too much to be going around looking for another place to live and then there is the expense of moving that I just can't afford right now. But, that being said, there are pros and cons to any apartment community. When I first moved in there was an issue with bugs--I think they are water bugs. I did complain and they did have the place bomb by Terminex. I still on occasion have seen 1 or 2 bugs, but Terminex comes in twice a month. In regards to previous comments about management not checking on elderly residents---this is not an assistive living facility. It is a 55+ community for ACTIVE adults. The office staff is not responsible for looking after your loved one---that is YOUR responsibility! Parking? Yes, it is a hassle to find guest parking. There are very few visitor parking spots available. Yes, we pay for parking. I would rather pay for a guarantee spot vs having to drive around looking for a spot, as I have had to do in other apartment complexes I lived in. The biggest issue now is they are switching to a different system to entering the apartments and the complex. It is a system called the Butterfly that there is an app for. We are paying to live in a secure complex, but because this Butterfly thing is not in effect right now, we are not. Anyone can come and go, including homeless people who linger nearby. Monaco is owned by Triumph Property Management Corporation. You can google it. Do your research before renting any place. Ask questions before signing a lease. Be informed. Yes, some things you won't find out until you actually move in (like the bugs). Even though this is suppose to be for ACTIVE seniors, you may move in "active" but then the longer you live here, the longer you naturally age and things happen. You end up using a walker or wheelchair. The doors to the entrances are heavy doors and those with walkers or wheelchairs do struggle to go through them. This IS something that management needs to look into. It doesn't hurt to go that extra step in making your residents satisified. Over all I think Nancy Huff, Manager, and her staff do the best they can, Maybe they need a little (LOT) more help from the big guys at Triumph Property Management! read more

Because of parking me and my husband moved there in November and we have two cars and instead of getting a parking space with your apartment they charge you $45 for a parking space and then if we can't find a handicap space then we have to park about 5 or six blocks away from our apartment the one that handles the parking has a very nasty attitude and doesn't care about the elderly they have all these parking spaces that nobody park in but they said that it belongs to other people but they can't tell you who because they don't want you asking that person can you rent their space but if they don't have a car why would they have a parking space so their charging that tenant $45 dollars for a parking space and they don't have a car I'm calling the big office and report them because it's not fair to us we are already paying $1,700 a month plus gas, electric, water and renters insurance and if they do give you another parking space they want us to pay an extra $50 dollars plus $45 dollars for the first parking spot. read more

CAUTION! Read these reviews! They are all very true. Parking is rough, especially if you come home past 5pm. My fathers bicycle was stolen from his patio the very first week he lived there, which was locked up with two locks! They cut one and made off with the other attached. When he asked the leasing personnel to check the cameras they said it couldn't be done and to report it to his renters insurance! After his1 year lease was over they held onto his deposit and charged him an additional $250 for "touch ups and carpet cleaning". His place was left in great condition! Beware! read more

This place is a joke. My grandmother lives here. Management treats her like crap. They act like they are wardens of a stinkin prison. She pays rent and doesn't even have a parking spot because there are not enough available spaces. My poor grandmother had a maintenance issue that they kept putting off for WEEKS! She had to bug them every single day to please fix the issue. If guests visit, they have to " park across the street at the church and walk over"- (quoted right from the rude lady in the office ). This place is over priced and most certainly not worth it. read more

These the worst senior apartments. My dad lived there. Every time I would go visit and wanted to go in the pool my dad was only allowed 2 visitors. You weren't able to be there for along time because then they will tow your car. Plus they are very expensive considers they are senior apartments and the rent will go up too. Overall bad place for senior citizens to live. Why live somewhere where they cannot have their family over without being harassed or being kicked out the pool. Plus they are only allowed one parking space when there is so many. read more

I had a terrific experience with Monaco and working with Maria on behalf of my clients. As a Realtor, I sometimes find that purchasing a home isn't the best choice for my clients. That is what lead us here! We stopped in and was able to look at something that fit their need exactly! Super thrilled! The unit we looked at was actually the one they ended up getting. The process was thorough and efficient and Maria very personable through it all! When I have clients looking to sell their homes & downsize in the future, I will always keep Monaco in the forefront of my mind as an option for them! read more

I have been living in Monaco Apartments for almost 4 years. I love it! If it weren't for Denise, the manager I would not been approved due to where I lived before they gave me a bad reference. I love everyone in the office, Nancy, Maria and Ana. A great place to live. Very reasonable than any other senior apartments in Chino. They are trying to accommodate more parking spaces by adding another parking lot. The only thing is that you have to stay to yourself leave people out of your business like anywhere people do gossip. read more

Shout out to Maria for doing an excellent job! read more

The overall tone of the management is that the tenants should be grateful to be living there. Parking is inadequate; rules upon rules upon rules. Lovely pool but 1 guest per resident. Recently moved out after three years. I was told I was unable to park in a potential resident space for 10 minutes to bring down a piece of furniture. Instead I needed to park on the other side of the building or I would be towed. Recommend you look for something more tenet friendly read more

NO PARKING!!! Be weary of renting here. Lots of fluff in the beginning - until you move in. Lot of silly rules. Definitely not a place to call home. It's unfortunate because the Apts are nice. Can't wait until lease is up. read more

Do not rent here. You will be told lies by the leasing office and once you sign the lease they do not return calls or care about problems within this complex that you address to them. It is a palace behind the gates in front of the Section 8 Villa Serena ghetto apts which all amenities will be shared with them including the very small pool area which by the way is full of children for a senior property. The fitness room is also located in the middle of the Villa Serena Ghetto. Parking is another issue they did not address to us at the time of our lease signing. Now they just taped notices to every tenants door stating the new parking regulations which state you can only park one vehicle on the property or you will be towed. No visitor parking either. This creates a huge problem for us people who have 2 cars & still work. Their answer is to park on Phillips St which has no sidewalks & is 1/8 of a mile from the complex! This is what they expect us seniors to do because they messed up on not having enough parking for the new complex. Your safety is not a concern to them. Updates to follow! read more

WARNING! DO NOT MOVE HERE. The place is absolutely not senior friendly. The leasing agents lie through their teeth and never mention all the problems. The gates are worthless. All a burglar has to do is follow the car in front of them inside. Once you move in, no one in the leasing office cares about you. The persons answering the phone must always ask someone else who is either on another line or out. Your calls are NEVER returned. Unless you are having an extreme emergency, such as flooding, it will take for ever for maintenance to show up. Now they have taped notices to our doors that state you can only park one vehicle on the property or you will be towed. This creates a huge problem for us married people who have 2 cars and still work. Your friends or relatives who want to visit WILL BE TOWED! The only parking is a block away. They say it isn't too far to walk. Seems they forget that this is a senior apartment complex. read more
