Save your money -- this place is not worth the price. The rent continues to increase while the quality of living continues to go downhill. On top of the already expensive rent, there are constant extra fees that make it feel like the only priority is squeezing more money out of residents. This property is owned by a large management company that seems to care more about profits than the people who actually live here. Parking is one of the biggest issues. There are frequent break-ins reported in the parking structure, yet residents are expected to pay even more for parking. Finding a spot is nearly impossible unless you pay for an additional reserved space. Meanwhile, the towing company is constantly patrolling, and cars are quickly towed if you don't follow the confusing parking rules. It feels less like resident convenience and more like another way to collect money. Security is also a major concern. You need a fob for almost everything, but somehow that does not stop random people from getting into the building. Packages are constantly being stolen, and residents are left dealing with the consequences. The security measures seem more like an inconvenience for paying residents rather than an actual solution. The trash rooms are consistently filthy and often left in unacceptable conditions. The parking structure is another issue -- people speed through it, creating a dangerous environment for pedestrians and other drivers. What's also concerning is that many negative reviews seem to disappear over time, which makes it difficult for potential residents to get an honest picture of what living here is actually like. For the amount of money residents pay, you would expect better management, safer conditions, and a property that actually feels cared for. Unfortunately, this place feels like another example of a large company prioritizing revenue over resident satisfaction. Aka the new account made is the Gabriel apartments read more

I moved in a week ago and I absolutely love it here! It's beautiful and well maintained, and the amenities are great. The gym in particular is state of the art and the lounges all boast huge tvs and comfortable couches everywhere. The apartments have a luxurious feel with large windows, great appliances and even a trash concierge service! But the thing that makes this property stand out even more is the leasing office staff. They have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND during the whole process from applying to moving in. Move in day was hectic on rolling electricity outages and reaching over 100 degrees, but they handled every obstacle as they came up. We must have gone back and forth to the office 20 times that day and they did everything within in their power to assist and stayed friendly and calm the whole time. They sincerely care about the residents and it shows. They strive to accommodate the residents and do everything with a friendly smile. I am so glad I found The Gabriel and look forward to settling in. read more

We got approved, paid our fees, and rearranged our lives around this place. We sent plenty of emails throughout the process and got zero responses, so we called to make sure everything was on track. That's when they told us, almost a week before our move in date, that the current tenant decided to stay. They weren't even going to reach out. We had to find out ourselves. No apology, no accountability, no respect for prospective tenants. Find somewhere that actually has their act together. read more

Today someone tried to enter our apartment. They unlocked our door and pushed down on the door handle. My husband yelled and scared them away. By the time he got to the door, they were gone. The leasing office said that my husband and I are the only ones with access to unlock our door. And yet someone else was able to unlock it. It doesn't make any sense and there doesn't seem to be a concern for our safety. It's very scary and I don't feel safe. The leasing office could not provide any kind of explanation. read more

Where do I even start? Like some of the other reviews mention, when I first moved in a few years ago things were actually pretty good. But after multiple management changes -- and, honestly, a new wave of tenants -- things went downhill quickly. I'll try to keep this as realistic and unbiased as possible. Safety: This is the biggest issue. There have been countless break-ins, and I'd honestly say if you live here long enough, your car will get broken into. Despite years of reports, there's still not a single camera in the parking garage -- which, by the way, you're paying for. Personally, I had two different cars broken into. One was involved in a hit-and-run in the garage, and on another occasion, the window was smashed. My other car was also broken into inside the gated garage, where people somehow got access and tried to steal it. This isn't "bad luck," it's just an unsafe environment that keeps happening to many residents. Adding to that, the two bus stops right next to the complex bring a lot of random foot traffic. It's not unusual to see people hanging around on residents' steps while waiting for the bus. Between that, the Metro, and the new townhomes nearby, parking is a complete mess. Honestly, you start to feel tricked into thinking you were paying for something better. Rent & Value: When I moved in, the rent was on the higher side, which I didn't mind. What bothered me is that years later, I found out the same unit I was paying top dollar for was being rented for hundreds less -- and no one ever communicated that. On top of that, the lower pricing seems to have changed the type of crowd moving in, and unfortunately, it shows. Cleanliness & Respect for the Property: The complex has gotten noticeably dirtier. Trash is left around, the hallways sometimes smell like urine, and I've literally seen dog poop indoors. The garden area, which used to be beautiful, is basically a giant dog park now. Despite signs asking residents to keep pets off the grass, people still let their dogs pee and poop all over it -- and act like they're not doing anything wrong. Facilities & Maintenance: Many of the security features don't work and haven't in years. Several key fobs are useless, the first-floor garage entry door has been broken forever, and the Whistler lobby door doesn't work with a fob at all. If you don't have the app, you're basically locked out and have to find another way in. To give credit where it's due, maintenance is fast when it comes to fixing things inside your unit, but it would be nice if they also took care of the bigger, ongoing issues -- like security, cleaning, and the broken entry doors. Management: The leasing office has been okay. Nothing really stands out. The very first management group when I moved in was excellent -- very attentive -- but they're long gone, and since then it just hasn't been the same. read more

I've lived in over 5 apartment complexes, and this one has the worst management team by far. Very unresponsive and disrespectful. It's been over two months and we still haven't received our deposit back. We've emailed multiple times with zero response and when we call they act like they have no clue what is happening. The assistant community manager Veanne provides no help at all. Terrible experience here especially considering all the work we did to keep the apartment in good shape. read more

Great apartment complex- new everything! I could not be happier with my selection: 1. Juls and Adriane are so friendly, helpful, responsive, attentive and approachable for all issues. 2. I have seen Juls and Adriane interact with current and future potential residents at such a high level of customer service. They represent with such class and helpfulness; this is a direct reflection of the team-work approach. 3. The Gabriel is safe, new and has amazing amenities. 4. Two more break ins in front of my assigned parking... this is so ridicules. The first one i saw i was coming back from the gym at night and called patrol since it looked new. Patrol was saying how theres many breaks in and hes trying his best to catch the person. The second photo was yesterday before i went to work.... I just dont understand why The Gabriel cant put up cameras inside the resident parking garage. They should invest in safety instead of weekly food trucks and $1000 referral bonus. Patrol also feels like there should be cameras. I always feel so unsafe and always on edge every time i enter the parking garage ): read more

Never ever to move in The Gabriel apartment, they colluded with the towing company to get you out of your money! We've contacted The Gabriel via email on June 15th to ask for additional parking space and also replied on June 17th to decide to take a parking lot. The residents who living here understand that there are limited parking spaces outside the apartment, we decided to pay an additional $100 per month for parking, and the apartment said will reply as soon as possible to prepare a parking space for us on Jun 19th. Waiting for half month didn't get any reply. Until July 3rd, my sister's car was towed away by the towing company they called, without any notice message. Because she came back late on July 3rd, it was already past eight o'clock in the evening, and the parking spaces outside were full, so she had to temporarily parked at Vistor Parking, office was closed and we couldn't get a permit at that time. Also they closed on July 4th, so when we contacted them today July 5th with Adrian, he didn't provide real help, he kept explaining for the apartment instead of trying to figure it out for us and let us to pay for the towing fee. We paid for towing fee today to get the car back. That's so frustrated. In this case, they supposed to help us to waiver the fee. Another issue is they overchaged me monthly payment and some NSF fees without any reason and they unable to reverse or cancel the payment. I have to deal with all issues by myself. We paid for service fee what's that for? It's so disappointed and we are planning to move out this rediculous apartment ASAP! Not gonna pay for them with this kind of service! Called The Gabriel resident service they told me not able to transfer my call to management department. They didn't help any but keep telling me to wait for call back. But never give a call back! read more

The apartment itself is built nice. I never had an issue with the apartment and amenities itself. It's management and security that makes this apartment lose all these stars. There are either residents, workers, a homeless person or SOMEONE that has been stealing multiple packages of mine and my finance that have been delivered. It's either delivered into someone else's locker or the package system is down and the people delivering cant deliver it properly, so they leave it in the mailroom and it gets stolen by another resident or mystery person. I do tend to order more than the normal person, but when you're spending your hard earned money on a "good" apartment with a "high security" (whatever that means) I expect to have ALL my packages delivered correctly. Nobody wants to lose money for their packages and nobody wants to keep reaching out to the merchant to try and get their money back for something that was CLEARLY delivered in the mailroom. I asked for a security footage- they "cant figure out who's on the camera", I asked for them to send out some type of email- completely ignored. I was also told that "since the package was delivered incorrectly" they can't do anything about it, after I spent days waiting for a response, mind you it was THEIR SYSTEMS THAT WERE DOWN. And they're ALWAYS down btw. I have now officially lost an order of $350 worth of vacation clothes that were stolen just a few days for my vacation. I only could get back about $100 of the order, and that was just the merchant being nice. I can't believe how greedy and selfish people can be. And to smile in my face about the entire situation is beyond me. How are you going to charge people for things that don't work? And this place has a lot of hidden fees- so just be mindful before you move here and be prepared to have to get your items delivered to a PO Box, relative or some other inconvenient way other than the "system" that's a few floors away from you. Also, I'm still waiting for some news. read more

Renting an apartment here for my son while he attends Cal Poly Pomona. The office staff have been mostly helpful. We came over for a visit and had our car TOWED!! and we pay the rent!!!! It cost us $390!!! We had a visitors pass but it had expired, we weren't able to get a new tag because we arrived after 5pm. There are a lot of rules and restrictions which doesn't make the place very inviting. Definitely ask for all the restrictions before you sign the lease. First off, let me start by saying this apartment complex, is amazing! With all the amenities, you can't beat the price! As for the staff, they too are amazing! When we toured the complex with Pamela, she went out of her way to help us find a unit in our price range that suited our needs. Our kids/grandkids visit quite often, and she helped us find a unit close to an outside entrance, right by an elevator, and parking garage door is 2 doors down! Great job Pamela. Then when we arrived on our move in day, Hayley did an outstanding job as well, as she explained all the features of our new smart apartment and the complex, like how to setup and use Stratis and ButterflyMX. Since moving in, we have had outstanding service from the front desk, for anything we've needed, from questioned answered or to get visitor parking passes. It's great that the rent rate was initially good and that i was able to take advantage of a one month free credit. However, it's not so great that additional charges for hot water, trash, gas, and extra EV spots were not disclosed upfront and came as a surprise later on. This can make budgeting and financial planning difficult for tenants. Furthermore, the recent request for an additional $50 charge for EV spots seems unreasonable, particularly if tenants are also required to give up their old spot. This could feel like a double penalty for tenants who are trying to be environmentally conscious and reduce their carbon footprint. It's unfortunate that the apartment center does not seem to prioritize transparency and fairness in their billing practices. It's also disappointing that the experience of living there did not meet my expectations, despite the initial impression of luxury. Overall, it sounds like I do not recommend this apartment center to others. It's important for potential tenants to be aware of these issues before making a decision to rent there. read more

The first time I toured by myself, Pamela showed me around and I immediately fell in love with the place. She's answered all the questions I had and was very responsive and patient when I had a few more questions days after. I then toured with my roommate and Hayley Merchant took care of us on picking our best unit and now that we've moved in we are still well taken care of. The day of move in she gave us a few tips to make move in easy for us which helped us alot! She is very approachable and I am very appreciative of her as she has great communication and is quick to respond. The apartment complex is new and well kept! The hallways always smell amazing I swear its different scents for different hallways lol! One main concern I had was safety being in Pomona, but I haven't had any issues. The resident parking garage is gated so i am less worried about car break ins. If we have any concerns about safety we have a phone number at hand to address any issues. Great amenities like the 24 hour gym with a variety of new gym equipments. So happy to be staying here! Thank you Pamela and Hayley! read more

I am updating my review because of many recent events and experiences . Don't move here ! They charge alot for rent and don't keep residents safe . Where do I start !!!! Thefts a major problem here and they do nothing about it . Ppl get their cars broken into and I've seen ppl come into the complex that don't live here . They tow cars as their side business or something . Towing costs 500 cash or 500 credit card . They also check for expired tags. They're acting like the dmv There's never any parking for guests ! There's never extra parking period . As of you don't feel safe there's always transients and random ass ppl walking thru or near the complex . Looking around and peering . I've called management never to be helped ! The other issue is the place is messy looking . There's always a broken glass door . Trash on the property and random beer cans outside . The pool is open at all hours . Random ppl in there because someone has asked me for the code to get in because someone let them borrow the pool . The train is loud . There's always construction and it's always dusty . Not what I imagined with their luxury apartments. I had enough today w their neural about your safety is your responsibility . If you have a family member or college student looking to move here don't do it . There's Crack heads roaming around and close by not worth the prices ! read more

I have been living at the Gabriel for about 2 years now and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a spot in the area and here's why. There's a nice sense of community here and lots of neighbors actually talk to each other. Lots of people have dogs, so if you are bringing a dog they will have lots of friends. The gym is great and always clean. It has most of the essentials plus some cool stuff like TRX bands. As for the apartments: The finishes are nice, and everything feels modern without being too over-the-top. I also like the co-working space they have. It's quiet and smells nice. Plus there are some conference rooms if you need some extra privacy. The game room is a fun little bonus. Its got shuffle board and a pool table and is a good spot to hang if you have friends over. They have random events like Taco nights, Food trucks, Wine nights, etc. which are free and fun. Also the maintenance staff is great. Super nice and friendly and they usually get to you pretty quickly for basic things. Few cons: The train can be annoying sometimes, but honestly it's only really noticeable with the windows open and the TV off. A bit on the pricey side, but honestly you get what you pay for and rent increases are very very reasonable. In short, great place to live and definitely recommend. read more
