Top tier cream puffs made/filled fresh + fabulously savory salt bread = foodie paradise. Stopped by their popup at Pho Ga Go in Mira Mesa, and each item that I tried was delightful. The salt bread was soft, flakey and oh so buttery - the ideal compliment to the sweet treats on hand. The mango sago and Viet coffee tiramisu were my favorites, but the Dubai chocolate puff is also a hit if you're ready for a heavy whallop of chocolatey kataifi goodness. All fillings are piped in right before your eyes, and service is both warm and efficient. Highly recommend this wonderful local business - check their socials so you can find out where they'll pop up next! read more

i appreciate that the fillings & toppings are added to order, so unlike other pop-up pastries that can get stale in their display cases, these cream puffs stay fresh. the crisp, buttery craquelin crust w a hint of salt is a nice contrast to the soft airy choux we also look forward to the new flavors every month. we tried buldak corn cheese (which made a lot of sense as a savory / sweet combo), strawberry, & milk tea (which added another nice textural contrast w chewy boba). we appreciated the made-from-scratch components from real tea, real fruit, etc. read more

Moncherioue serves some really delicious cream puffs. The texture is soft and fresh, with a light shell and plenty of filling in every bite. They're definitely on the sweeter side, so they pair perfectly with unsweetened coffee or tea. The owner is also very friendly, which makes the experience even better. Simple, fresh, and satisfying--I'd come back for these! Her pop-up was in Little Italy on my visit, next to Kyoto Coast Matcha pop-up. A perfect pairing read more

I LOVE Mon Chourie's cream puffs. They're always freshly baked and honestly, there's no other cream puff in San Diego that tops this. My favorite mini cream puffs are the Biscoff ones, but the real game changer for me was the Hong Kong choux with boba. I fell in love after the first bite. Ever since I tried it, it's become a weekly buy because I genuinely can't survive without it anymore haha. Ordering is super easy, and they do pop-ups as well as preorders on their Instagram. 100/10 recommend!! read more

The mango passion fruit cream puff was bomb. Wish I could of gotten more, but only had sample size. Only gotten the banana hojita and Dubai chocolate. The banana flavor was so so, but the Dubai chocolate with the pistachio filling had the awesome creamy crunchy texture. Will get more in the future, especially the mango passion fruit. Gave some to my 3 year old daughter and it was us fighting for the rest, but she won. read more

I LOOOOOOOVE THESE CREAM PUFFS!!! I first got to try it out during a Yelp Elite event couple years ago but it's been so delicious and the collaborations have been so exciting that I and my friends have ordered them several times. For 6 mini puffs and 3 specialty puffs it came out to be around $36. For the minis I ordered: Biscoff, Passion Fruit, Strawberries and Cream, and Vietnamese Coffee. My favorite out of these were the Vietnamese Coffee and the Biscoff. I feel that the minis are the best size, and the cream to filling ratio is perfect. The larger ones are a bit messy so I think overall I prefer the smaller size. For the larger specialty puffs I ordered a Hojicha Banana and two Potato Croquettes which was a collaboration with Karanchi Chili Crisps. The Hojicha Banana had actual banana chunks in the filling which was a nice surprise! It wasn't too sweet which is the highest Asian praise given :P For the Potato Croquettes, three outside crackle portion was sweet so it gave it a sweet and savory taste. I feel like I would have liked it better if it was a savory crackle though. The inside was made of mashed potatoes and it had cubes of ham and corn, and the entire croquette was topped with Karachi Chili Crisps to give it heat and a slightly smokey flavor. Kelly was super sweet regarding pick up!! I had overslept a Saturday morning pickup and she was able to make them fresh for me to pickup the next day at another pop-up!! I appreciated the accommodations :') read more

This food vendor is offering Korean Cream Puffs and Korean Strawberry Milk from her home in South Korea. As of November 2024, you can find her at the La Mes Village Farmer's Market, La Jolla Open Aire, and Cardiff by the Sea Farmer's Market. The cream puffs are fantastic. I had the vanilla cream puff, the original and the chocolate covered one. They were both great. The pastry was soft and flaky and the cream was delicious. I had a ube or purple yam puff, too and it was very yummy. She offers a flavor of the month. November is an apple pie puff stuffed with apple pie filing. If you like apple pie, check this one out. The Korean strawberry milk was very good. She macerated her on fresh strawberries for the beverage and it comes out delicious. Kim, the owner, is super friendly. You can order ahead for large orders. She is also available for events and such. read more

Stumbled upon their pop-up while I was at a coffee shop, and I am so glad I did because it was SO good. Each puff is fully filled with cream on the spot, and the puff is perfectly flaky and crispy. I couldn't try their new flavor because it was sold out (I think people pre-order them) but I ended up getting one of each flavor that was available. read more

I had 3 rounds of bulk orders this year for the holidays. Kelly and her team made it happen. The Christmas Croquembouche were such a hit with everyone. From start to finish, Kelly was super communicative and I couldn't have asked for better service. Mon Chourie helped me make a statement to all my clients and provide unique holiday gifts that stood out beyond the boring gift box. Thank you so much for being amazing! read more

I was introduced to them via a gift card, but then went back separately because they were so good!! I highly recommend trying their newer Korean style cream puff with the Dubai chocolate theme. We happened to be in the neighborhood for the weekly pop-up at Kairoa and I was so happy to be able to finally try Mon Chourie. The crème puffs are really good. The banana pudding was really good! I haven't tried all of the crème puffs we bought yet but do far they're all good. I met the owner and she was really nice and happy to share her story. I am so happy I finally got to try these cream puffs! And they over exceeded my expectations even though I knew they were going to be so yummy based on seeing what everyone was saying on social media and by the way the cream puffs looked! Every time I saw a post about them online, my mouth would water because cream puffs are one of my absolute favorite desserts ever. I got to try their chocolate sweet cream corn puffs from their pop up they did at Oh My Pate Cafe in San Marcos because that is the flavor I've been wanting to try for a year now. I talked to the owner briefly and she was so sweet and friendly! You can really tell how much love, effort, and care she puts to making them because of the ingredients she uses and how beautiful they look. Every part of the cream puff was amazing. The pastry part was a pleasant surprise because of how light and crisp it was which is different from the cream puffs I've had. The cream was perfectly sweet where it wasn't overpowering or too sweet and it had a nice touch of corn; plus it wasn't heavy. The chocolate on top was a wonderful addition and I could tell that the chocolate used was high quality and I definitely enjoyed the chocolate part. Every texture and flavor worked perfectly and balanced each other out which surprisingly made them not heavy at all. It's so great to now know that we have yummy cream puffs around and that she has been expanding her location visits! I would highly recommend trying them and would love to eat more in the future :) read more

Mon Chourie is truly next level. Each choux au craquelin is a work of art. I can't get over the masterful flavor profiles!

If you're looking for the most incredible, mouthwatering cream puffs in San Diego, Mon Chourie is an absolute must-try. These aren't just any cream puffs, they're beautifully crafted Korean-style choux pastries that are truly next-level. I've tried several of their creations, and every single one is a perfect balance of a crisp, airy shell with luscious, velvety cream inside. They come in the most creative flavors and stunning designs. From the decadent Dubai Chocolate, drizzled with rich chocolate and topped with crunchy pistachios, to matcha-infused banana pudding specials, and even ones decorated with cute little daisy flowers -- it's like eating a piece of art. What really keeps me coming back is how they're always mixing it up with fun monthly specials. Beyond the incredible desserts, you can tell they pour so much heart into their brand. The packaging is absolutely adorable, the little mascot art is super charming, and they even support local causes like wildfire relief -- truly a business worth supporting. If you haven't tried Mon Chourie yet, do yourself a favor and run -- don't walk -- to get your hands on these heavenly cream puffs. Whether it's for a special occasion, a thoughtful gift, or just to treat yourself, you'll be hooked from the very first bite. Five stars all the way. read more

Always check their instagram for where they're going to be! I ended up in a random warehouse next to a tray of broccoli in Old Town while searching, but I eventually made it! And it was so worth it! We literally got one of everything, and the way these things were STUFFED was phenomenal. Each was a whole meal on its own. The cream was so fresh and inspired. I didn't think I'd like corn cream and chocolate, but that was my favorite! I also really appreciated the fact that each puff was stuffed on-site so they weren't all dense and wet when we got home. If I see her again, will definitely be buying more! read more

Love this pop up! Kelly is so nice and her cream puffs are amazing! I tried all of the regular flavors and the February special, chocolate covered strawberries and the Dubai chocolate. Everything was delicious! The cream puffs are baked ahead of time and she adds the filling when you order them... which I thought was great because then they don't get soggy, I also liked that the filling was not overwhelmingly sweet. Gives you a chance to taste the flavor instead of just sugar. Also be patient if you don't order ahead of time. She's one person doing 3-4 jobs at once, read more

i love this small business here in san diego! everything tastes so fresh, nothing about it feels mass-produced or generic. the fillings are super flavorful but still light, not overly sweet or heavy. she's extremely creative, i had never heard of jolly pong before until it became one of her monthly specials. kelly is so kind and clearly puts so much heart and hard work into this business. her pop ups with other small businesses are always fun because she collaborates with their specials, which makes everything feel really intentional and one of a kind. you can find her at local pop ups and farmers markets, but she also offers pick-up and catering. asian desserts have been making a rise in the county but there's really nothing else like this, so kelly's done a great job building something special here :) read more

I got to try these amazing Korean cream puffs at a pop up at Cafeina Cafe in City heights! The mazapan latte cream puff was absolutely heavenly - you could really taste the mazapan and the coffee individually and the cream was made to perfection. I also tried an assortment of other flavors and I still think about the Thai tea and Ube cream puffs - the way the flavors were incorporated into the cream was beautiful. Experiencing the softness and fluffiness of the cream with intense flavors and the delicate pastry and chocolate on top is something that everyone needs to experience!
