Mom's Diner stands out in Pahrump where there are limited quality restaurants. The restaurant is super cute- very mom and pop-ish. Servers are friendly. I've eaten here twice and both times, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Menu has enough on it...and there are always daily specials. Way better than Denny's and you're supporting a local business. Stop in when you're in the area! read more

Great pit stop. I wanted to visit this restaurant on my list. I went with the tried and true chickie fried steak. Great chickie but, I wish they had the pepper sausage gravy instead. This will be a continued stop when I'm in the vicinity. A very location and a must to visit the bathroom, decorated with pictures of nice cars(hot rods). read more

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fine breakfasts in a nostalgic setting. Located in an unassuming strip mall, it was very quaint inside, with all sorts of nostalgic decor everywhere. Oldies from the 50s and 60s playing in the background reinforced the mood. I got the Ortega and cheddar omelette, hash browns extra crispy, wheat toast with a coffee. The hubby got the scrambled eggs with hash browns and a biscuit. The coffee was pretty good, and if you need creamer don't worry, as there was a GIANT pump dispenser of coffee mate creamer on the table. Our server was a no-nonsense older woman who got things done. Overall a very nice breakfast--worth the stop. read more

If you know, you know. This is the place that locals go to eat breakfast and brunch! It is worth the wait. The cooks work hard back in this kitchen, and the staff here is friendly and pretty quick to serve you with a smile. I went all in today and ordered the eggs, hash browns, and pancakes with a side of bacon. I was catching up with a friend and I was so hungry, I totally forgot to take the pictures of my food! However the diner is so kitsch, it's worth the wait just to sit inside and take it all in. I'm sure the locals don't appreciate it as much as the tourists do as they pass through Pahrump. Nostalgic items of yesteryear make this place feel like, "Mom's Diner." read more

My first time trying Mom's Diner after visiting Death Valley. Mom and Pop style sit down restaurant. Food is cheap for the quality. The crew was friendly and really fast service. I would eat here again if i ever come back. read more

I LOVE this place. Our son is on the spectrum and he is welcomed with open arms here by the waitresses & waiters. That makes the experience 100x more enjoyable as a family (not being judged). The food is fantastic. I get the biscuits & gravy. HIGHLY recommend. I'm a biscuits & gravy girl so I get it wherever I go. This place hands down has the BEST biscuits & gravy. This restaurant is lively. Seating is laid out perfectly. You have just enough privacy for your family. I hope this helps someone when choosing a spot to eat. 10/10 experience, food & customer service read more

This is definitely a local spot! Staff was friendly. The atmosphere is eclectic and old. You can tell it's been around for some time. The food was pretty bland, but their sausage gravy was great! So a bit of a mixed review here. Would I go back? Probably not. read more

We've been here a few times now. The food is good and hot, grilled to order, it's an old mom and pops kind of place, with cute items on the wall that tell an adventuresome story if you take time to read the lines. The service is good, they get busy so its easier to know what you want when the server asks the first time. HAHA but the food is well worth the wait. They have a cute cow bench out front for pictures while you wait and its a friendly place for breakfast and lunch. Im not sure if they do dinner too. But the deserts you have to try them! read more

Excellent food and service. Very friendly and will be going back again!!! Clean, excellent food.

Decided to have breakfast here and we were very pleased with service and food. The atmosphere is nice with lots of interesting things on the walls, staff friendly and attentive (they are the awesome and consistent with coffee refills), menu selection and prices good, and food great. We got seated immediately and our order taken quickly. Overall, we had a very good experience and definitely would return. read more

This is a staple when I meet my mom for doctors appointments. I live in LV and she in Beatty. Always a family comfort meal. From the breakfast to lunches we have ordered a pleathera of options. It's a family owned operation. You are sure to see the same friendly faces. read more

Ordered the patty melt which was excellent. The fries however were lukewarm and soggy (def a heat lamp batch). Drinks guy is super friendly and attentive. The waitress ignored us for several minutes and then was in a hurry to grab our order when she did arrive lol. She literally grabbed the menu out of our hands. Decent food but service was definitely subpar. Will pass next time. read more

We stopped here on our way back to Vegas from Death Valley to me the good reviews and fewer options at Death Valley. We checked in upon entering and had to wait 15 minutes before being seated, but they were accurate about that. Some people didn't know to check in, so I would suggest that they have a sign to check in at the front so that people don't waste their time. We were very impressed with the food. We had the two eggs plate with a biscuit and hash browns and my partner had the chicken fried steak with a biscuit and hash brown. The hash browns were very crispy while the biscuits were very fresh, flaky and buttery. We also got a side of fresh salsa for the chicken steak and it had a nice kick to it. Everything was made to perfection and the staff were also very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonably for just over $30 for two breakfasts (including tip). Prices are very affordable. This is the kind of place where the staff call their regular patrons by their names. There's also some cute decor all throughout the restaurant and it is a great representation of the quintessential American diner. read more

The food was mediocre at the best. Maybe next time we'll have to try out the hamburgers... We tried breakfast (Kitchen sink omelette, Deuces plate). The omelette was very runny with the egg and "wet like" veggies. It didn't taste very well, bland. Pancakes were massive, but just not tasty like I'd expect. I feel like they need to work on their flavor. Our waitress was also less than with her attitude and service; just seemed like another day and another dollar. Could have been much more "friendly", smiling.... I'll come back once more...maybe... and try the burgers?! That is... they were voted "Best Burger 2024" in Pahrump...? read more

This was my first time to Pahrump, NV and I had to stop by this place. Just by their interior decor felt like the 20's-30's vintage vibe. They have really cool vintage signs throughout their dining room and even in the bathroom!! I met the owner Brett, and just him spending the time to share his story in the midst of a crowded restaurant, made me feel like he really cares about his customers and for his community. 90 percent of the locals are either former military, law enforcement, or EMS. And what better way to serve the community then serving those who have or currently serve. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone works hard to ensure each customer is greeted, served and taken care of. I ordered "The Skillet" with bacon and it was delicious! The bacon was crispy and the eggs were cooked over easy. As I cut into them the yoke was mixed in with the onions, peppers, and cheese bringing the entire dish together. I will have to make another trip out to Pahrump just to eat at Mom's diner. Brett, I will be back brother.... read more

I used to be a regular at Mom's Diner, but over time the quality has declined while prices have gone up. Recently, they added a new busser to their roster, Olivia, who consistently did an excellent job. After months of seeing her there, I was disappointed to learn she was let go. After watching this establishment cycle through bussers one after another, this decision makes no sense and feels like a serious mistake. That said, my decision not to return isn't solely about Olivia, it's the ongoing drop in quality and rising prices. Her dismissal was simply the final straw. Thank you. read more

I felt as if I had gone into a private party to which I was not invited. If they seemed to know a person it was a great welcoming. If it was a stranger they treated the person as if they were not welcome. To be honest, we went there when we first moved to Pahrump and that was over 5 years ago. I guess they could have changed since then. The food was not terrific either. I don't even remember what I had but my husband did not like his hamburger. That should have been easy. read more

When I would come here for the winter, this is one shot I'd always east at multiple times, it's part of thr Pahrump experience! Great food, good atmosphere, excellent service, all in a local institution. Even today, on a Monday, every table is full. It's great seeing that the only thing that's changed is the prices. Today ordered the chicken fried steak, it was a delicious as remember. The gravy was a bit less tasty than I remember though enjoyed large sausage pieces. Normally don't care for potatoes, these actually had some flavor to them. Next time in town will be coming back, a Pahrump institution! read more

Mom's Diner is a local gem that everyone talks & raves about! It's a super cute vintage & historically influenced theme sit down with so many cool Knick knacks; it definitely keeps you occupied for a while! The warm greeting from the staff when you enter, the ecclectic decor are great. Depending on what you order, dishes go from delicious to mediocre. found this hidden gem in the back streets off the main highway. As avid travelers, we are always looking for those off-the beaten-path eateries, Mom's Diner is one of those places. as you walk in, you are greeted by a cow-bench which just invites you to take a seat and enjoy the many things they have on display to look at on the walls. As you enter the main area, you are verbally greeted by the friendly staff with a smile. The interior offers both booths and tables for your dine-in experience. The portions are very satisfying(pancakes are Huge!!) and the prices are very moderate (more on the lower side compared to other places I have visited which serve the same type of food. I saw alot of great reviews for the burgers but we ended up going for the bfast. The food was delicious, we really enjoyed the flavor in every bite, from the eggs to the orange juice it had great taste and seasoning. overall, this place was great, with awesome food, and friendly staff, definitely highly recommended! I will return to try those burgers.. read more

After spending some time in Death Valley, we stopped here for lunch on the way back to Las Vegas. It is off the main highway and without Yelp, I wouldn't know it existed. There were a number of people waiting outside and also putin a small foyer. I had the man put our name on the list. He said it would be about 15 minutes and that's about what it was. The interior is small with some booths but mostly tables. It is filled with classic Americana pieces on the walls and shelves. It was rather noisy as there were so many people there. We were seated in a booth and were soon approached about drinks. We then took a short time to peruse the menu. I ordered the chicken cordon blue sandwich on brioche bun. My companion ordered the patty melt. It wasn't long and our lunch was delivered to the table. The chicken cordon blue was good and the fries were hot. My companion liked her patty melt. Our lunch was a good stop thanks to Yelp. Where do you go in Pahrump iwhtout the trusty site? read more

Mom's Diner was recommended to us while staying in Pahrump for the weekend! When we arrived on Sunday (late) morning, there was a 10-15 minute wait to be seated. We browsed the thrift store next door in the meantime, so the wait went by quickly. The interior was cozy and casual with eclectic decor - lots of antiques, funny signage, and they even had their own merch. Many of the patrons appeared to be regulars, and it had the vibe of a classic small town diner. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with a Biscuit, and we also got a short stack order of Pancakes for the table. Service was friendly but very leisurely. They were good about coming around with coffee refills, but the food took a while to come out. The Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs was tasty and super filling, just as expected. But my favorite part of the meal was actually the Biscuit, which was not dry at all - great texture! The Pancakes were also pretty standard, and we definitely over-ordered in terms of quantity. Pricing was very reasonable though! read more

We visited Pahrump back in January during a birthday trip to Death Valley and Mom's Diner kept popping up on places to eat near our Airbnb. It has a very eclectic/homey decor/vibe, which I loved. It makes you feel as though you are in a warm kitchen eating your mom's food. The food came out really quick, I was never without fresh coffee, and our server was so sweet. We only stopped in for breakfast, but they had a lot of yummy sounding dinner specials as well! I will definitely come back the next time we visit Death Valley. read more
