Dad's American Diner in Pahrump, NV, is solid 4 stars. My family had breakfast here on November 24, 2025. Because the dining area up front was fairly busy, we were welcomed to sit in the back room which comfortably sat our party of 5. It was hard to miss the very patriotic vibes inside with lots of manly and military decor. I liked it because it was different. My plain black coffee was good and strong. For breakfast I really enjoyed the biscuits with sausage gravy. The biscuits, while just a tad overdone, were still good. Try their pancakes! My oldest daughter had me try hers and wow - probably the best in town. Also, their hashbrowns are NOT from the freezer. They are homemade and you can definitely tell the difference. Service was nice, but a bit clueless about the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner plus she was too chatty for my liking. My ex mother-in-law does tend to bring out the talkative sides of people, though. We have come here often since it's opened, and it's very delicious food and friendly staff and customer service. They're very welcoming and their food is always tasty and fresh. They have plenty of places to sit inside, you can choose the front area or the back. Their decor is very cool with a mix of cars and country living. One of my favorite meals is the country breakfast that has biscuits and gravy, their gravy is very good tasting and isn't overly salted or peppery, like some can be. Their coffee is always hot and I choose to get a large glass of ice and make it an iced coffee, If coming thru town or just haven't tried it yet and you live here in Pahrump, you should stop by! read more

We stopped by Dad's American Diner on a quick trip into Pahrump from Vegas. All the staff were super friendly and service was super quick. I got the chicken and waffles - the waffle was super fluffy and moist, the chicken tenders had a good flavorful breading, and the butter was so good. My boyfriend got a breakfast plate with bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and a biscuit with gravy. I snuck a taste of the biscuit and gravy and really liked the flavor. Prices were reasonable and we really enjoyed our meal! Will definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

My first experience with the dad's American Diner was on October 14th. I've been there three different times so far within the last few weeks and I'm going to put all of my experiences in this one particular review. It might be long but it'll be worth reading. 10/14/25: I went in to try their chicken and waffles. Something I do whenever I go out to a breakfast is taste their gravy for their biscuits and gravy. It was so good that I got a half order of biscuits and gravy to take home to my wife. Back to the chicken and waffles. They use Belgian waffles for that part and breaded chicken strips with warm maple syrup and a dollop of butter. 10/16/25 My wife and I went in for lunch on this day. She had a Cobb salad I had the fish and fries and I asked him to if they could change the fries to onion rings and they said yes. The Cod was very tasty and the onion rings were the large type and were also very tasty. My wife said the cobb salad okay. Now saying that she Compares all Cobb salads to the one we get at Diego farms in Las Vegas. They have a very very good Cobb salad. 10/27/25 I was ready for another order of chicken and waffles. So my wife and I went to Dad's again. She had the ham steak and eggs with hash browns and I had the chicken and waffles. My wife found her breakfast was very good. We highly recommend DAD'S. I can't say enough for the staff and how they handled everything Sarah, Phoebe and Rose all of the ones that we interacted with and the chef himself. TIP: if you are a person that has trouble ordering eggs where you get the whites done and the yolk soft try ordering them basted. read more

A small diner type area in the front and a larger dining room in the back. The place is cleaned and nicely decorated. The service is always attentive and friendly. This is my go-to place for the Vegas steak and eggs. You get a deliciously grilled steak a couple of eggs some really crispy hash browns and toast for a price that would barely cover the steak in the grocery store. There are very nice condiments provided including schmucker's jellies. Plenty of parking. read more

Where to start? The bench seat at the booth we sat at was too low to sit and eat without a booster seat to sit on. I moved to the inside seat and it was at the right hight to eat. I ordered the dads smashbuger with fries. The 4inch wide bun was oversized for the meat pattys, tons of mustard and ketchup didnt help the dry patties at all. the fries were so over cooked they broke when trying to eat them with a fork and they tasted like fish. My wife ordered the cali omelet. The hash browns were good. The omelet was as crispy as the toast which were justa bit burned around the edges. Never got the sliced avocado. The iced tea was good $35.00 for the meal, add another $1.04 for the use of a credit card. Not going back, ever. The waitress was nice and friendly. The stagestop restaurant and casino has a huge burger and frys with iced tea for $10.00. Much better deal and so much better food. read more

Even their website is dysfunctional. Not laid out from mobile and put up in 2023 with out being up dated. Can't say I have are here so no food reviews. I wouldn't step foot in this place because of the owners. I have tried their other place. Thats in the same parking lot. I would say this was a clone of that with different food choices. read more

Took my mom here for breakfast -- never again. She ordered eggs and hashbrowns, took one look, and sent them back immediately. They still charged us. I told the waitress, who admitted no one had the manager's code and the manager wasn't answering. Seriously? I had to take my tip back because I refuse to pay for food we didn't eat. On top of that, the place was filthy -- windows smeared with grime and tables still covered in food from the last group. Total waste of time and money. Stay far away from this place. read more

Good food, great service, and relaxing atmosphere. I spied the sign as we were on our way to a different restaurant. I turned around and came back, and so glad we did. It has only been open 3 days and I am sure that they will continue to be very popular. Almost every table had customers sitting down. Have been here a few times. First two times, amazing food and service! (I'd give 5 star rating) The last two times...not so much. (I'd give it 1 star rating). Had to wait a very long time for food. Cold food (had to ask where it was), toast served without butter (had to ask), no refills (had to ask), no napkins (had to ask). Annoyed waitress. Plates literally toss on the table. I have been to Dad's American Grill for both Dine-In and Pick-Up - in every instance, the service and food was good. Highly recommend for good food at affordable prices. My only "negatives" are: 1) there was less food when I picked up vs dining in and 2) while the food IS good, you could probably do just as well as cooking it yourself. This place rocks! We'd give Dads American Diner 10 stars if we could!! The chef, Sheldon, has amazed us with his cooking every single meal. We only THOUGHT breakfast was fantastic until we went for an early supper and had Smash Burgers. OMG were they delicious. Looking forward to having Sheldon delight our taste buds again! The waitresses, Rose, Disney, and Tasha are all very attentive, never leaving us with an empty cup of rich fresh brewed coffee or glass of 'Gramas' sweet tea ;)) The decor theme is prefect for a place called Dads American diner, with acknowledgments of every branch of the military. And plenty of classic Car, Harley & Music memorabilia with some country western tossed in too. Seating is not over crowded, providing a comfortable dining atmosphere, thats especially nice if you bring along a walker or wheel chair. Usually go to other breakfast places in town so decided to try Dad's for first time. Reasonable price for breakfast 12,99 for All Fixes Breakfast option it. That is great option fills you up and is reasonable price and food is good quality. Service is quick and friendly. Definitely want to go back and try several different menu items. Worth the try. Gotta go with a 1 star, may try again but when you show up and no server to be seen, and 2 other groups come in behind and you have to get the cooks attention to ask if it's self seating and he doesn't know why there isn't a server is a bit concerning. Decided we would try dad's diner this morning. I understand this is there first week I believe. But I will try to be fair and honest. We showed up right as they opened at 6 in the morning, this showed me the business hours are off. You should not open when you are not ready to start cooking, we were the first to order as we are the only ones walking as they open. It took thirty minutes before they even started cooking so by time it was done we had to take it to go. Now I guess I will review the food I ate. I tried to order hot tea as I don't drink coffee but was told they don't have tea, well guess I will get my caffeine on the road as at least the gas station do have tea. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, the gravy was ok because I like the sausage in it. But some one does not understand a biscuit is not a dinner roll, well atleast their version of a biscuit tastes and texture was more of dinner roll. So my experience with this place is not very impressive. I will have to think about giving them another chance there are some other great diner in town. read more

We have eaten at Dad's a few times now, always for breakfast. Every visit has been a good experience--homestyle, hot, good food, and friendly, cheerful service. Atmosphere is informal but clean and efficient. Coffee was good and hot, and I got frequent refills without asking. All the staff members were friendly and attentive. I also noticed yesterday that a server formerly from the nearby Artesian Cellars (also an excellent establishment) is now working at Dad's. She was at the Cellars for several years and was always friendly, cheerful and well informed. We thought she must have been at least part owner, that's how well she represented the place. Artesian's loss is Dad's gain! Also good to know, Carmelo's Italian restaurant also is owned and operated by the same people, and also serves wonderful Italian dishes. The two restaurants are almost next door to each other, so you won't have any trouble finding them. Highly recommend both restaurants. read more
