    aloo paratha plate
    Jeanne L.

my group of eight visited right at opening for lunch on a friday. the owner was so kind and took the time to explain the menu to us. there were also photos of the different momos at the counter. since the restaurant just opened and we ordered a lot, we expected a bit of a wait. the dishes did come out at different times, although we didn't mind and the owner apologized for it. overall, given the size of the group and time of day, service was pretty fast. - aloo paratha plate (4/5): pretty standard paratha, with a soft potato filling, although less spiced than the indian version. it came with a dipping sauce, which we ordered at medium spice. the paratha was good, but i wasn't a big fan of the cold potato salad on the side. i liked the chickpeas and the spices in it, which reminded me of a samosa, but it tasted weird to me cold - momo house combo plate w/ chicken [steamed] (4/5): the plate came with five momos, two samosas, two o-maries (baras), and sticks of carrots and celery. the momos were steamed perfectly and had a good filling to dumpling skin ratio, but the filling was a little dry. the filling was also a little spiced, although it was very mild in flavor. the samosas were HUGE! they had a soft potato filling, flavored with the typical spices like cumin and turmeric. my favorite part of the plate was actually the o-marie because of the chewy and grainy lentil texture. it was mostly flavorless but made for a good plain starch to eat with - momo house fivefold combo [pan-fried] (3.5/5): came with all of the same components as the chicken combo plate, but included each of the five momos: lamb, bison, chicken, tofu, and vegan. i preferred the pan-fried momos over the steamed momos because i liked the extra crunch and flavor, which was texture-wise in between the steamed and deep fried momos. the lamb momo was by far the best because it was the juiciest and most flavorful. it was a bit gamey, but i didn't mind the flavor. the bison momo tasted just like beef, but it was a little dry like the chicken. i preferred the soy flavor of the tofu over the vegan momo. the tofu and vegan momos could've used more filling - the dumplings were kind of flat for all of the plates except for the jhol, chilli, curry, and teriyaki, the level of spice chosen was for the dipping sauce. for the other four, the spiciness was for the sauce that the momos were tossed in. the dipping sauce was like a red chutney, which was tomato and chili-based, adjusted for heat. the tomato flavor was definitely the strongest note. the mild sauce didn't have a kick at all, and the medium sauce had a bigger kick but still wasn't too spicy. i really enjoyed the sauces! - chilli lamb momo [medium] (4.5/5): my favorite plate we ordered! the momos were deep fried and tossed in the chili sauce, which was spicy and slightly sweet. i didn't think medium spicy was that spicy, but it did have a little kick. the momos were crunchy, but i thought some parts of the skin were too thick and chewy, especially where it was folded on top. i appreciated the vegetables mixed in, and i loved the juicy lamb! - chilli chicken momo [hot] (4/5): such good chili flavor, with much more kick than medium spicy. the dish was just a little too dry overall, with some chewy bites of dumpling skin and dry chicken filling, but the flavor was perfect i've never been to a restaurant that serves so many different kinds of momos in different sauces, so i really enjoyed this experience! if i stayed in westminster again, i would come back.

Small little gem, love the chicken and vegan momos, atmosphere is chilled, people are kind and welcoming. Food is delicious and fresh, little spicy for me but all good.

The server behind the counter was very helpful, he showed us pictures of the food to help us decide what we wanted to order. The food was delicious so which flavor we had the pan seared chicken and curry bison that was cooked to perfection

Came here since I finally found out what momos are :). Very simple decor. The front cashier and server is very nice. He gave a good suggestion to try the curry momo. I tried the regular chicken and the curry chicken momo and the curry version definitely has so much more flavor. I also ordered the mango lemonade drink and samosa. Everything was good and I was full coming out of the restaurant...like my stomach was pushing my pant buttons out full

Nice clean little restaurant. Ordered the pan fried chicken momo which took about 10 min wait and tasted great hot and fresh with the sauce. Next time I think I will get the combo plate which I think will be the best option.

Wow, what an overall exceptional experience here at momo house! To begin, we walked into a very warm and inviting environment with clean tables and surfaces all throughout. Secondly, the kind gentleman who greeted us at the register who not only took our order but made some wonderful recommendations was such a kind and accommodating guy! He said his name was Sabin (spelling hopefully accurate) and I was so pleased to meet him. Lastly and most importantly, when our 3 plates arrived it consisted of the jhool soup with lamb momo, the fried chili momo with chicken and we ordered the paratha plate which all 3 entrees together just hit the spot entirely! The fried chili chicken momo was so crispy, flavorful, warm, with a delicious blend of sautéed onions, peppers and chopped scallions, the jhool lamb momo soup was creamy, thick, perfectly seasoned and flavored and the dumplings were tender and perfectly prepared. I am still so happy and elated that I got to experience this exceptional dining experience for all the right reasons. They even offer you complimentary cold filtered water which helps soothe your body after a filling and sensational meal! If I could give it a 50/10 I would thank you momo house!

The dumplings here were SOOO good!! We got the lamb curry dumplings, and the Momo combination plate. Everything was so flavorful. I felt like I ascended to another planet after taking a bite of the spicy curry lamb ones. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and showed us this nice video of how they cook the chili dumplings. The restaurant was very cute and clean as well. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu :)

It was nice to get the chance to try a lot of different dishes. I also appreciated that the food was clearly labeled with items that contained dairy and gluten. Since I don't eat dairy I was able to try the yak stew, chicken vindaloo, vegetable curry and momos (like a fried dumpling). I thought everything tasted great! One thing that could be improved was the temperature of the food; other than the stew, the other items in the buffet were pretty cold. I wish they had been served piping hot, they would have tasted more amazing. Next time I will try ordering off the menu to see if the food would be warmer.

The rice was flavorful with whole spices included. The Thakali set was also amazing, coming with rice, curry, tikka masala and dal, tandoori chicken, two pieces of naan, and dessert. But this place completely changed my take on this. Most of the crowd in here was... well... not Indian which was not uncommon for Denver. When we ordered the Kadai Paneer and the Daal Makhni and told them to make it super spicy... they did. And the flavors literally took us back home. This wasn't just the best Indian food in Denver... but it was one of the Top 10 Indian food we've ever had outside of India. It even put some of the places in India to shame. Super fresh ingredients, made to order unlike most places who have the curries and daals ready. The naan was made fresh as well and not reheated frozen stuff which many restaurants still serve at high pricepoints. The service was topnotch as well. Ambiance was quite cozy and not super loud despite how busy it got after about 7pm. Definitely our go-to Indian in Denver... never thought I'd have an Indian spot in Denver I would crave going to again and again.
