EL PASO PET OWNERS, PLEASE BE AWARE!…read more
MY DOG CAME HOME FROM FUR SEASONS WITH DEEP GASHES REQUIRING STAPLES, AND TO THIS DAY, NOBODY CAN TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!
PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! I want other pet owners in El Paso to be aware of my experience before trusting this establishment with their animals.
On October 12, 2026, at approximately 7:55 AM, I picked up my three dogs from Fur Seasons in El Paso, TX, after boarding them for two days.
When I got home, I discovered that my dog, Ari, had deep gashes across her chest and belly area, along with apparent bite marks on her nose. Her injuries were serious enough to require veterinary treatment, STAPLES, and medication.
NOT ONE EMPLOYEE INFORMED ME THAT MY DOG WAS INJURED!
What makes this situation even more disturbing:
THE OWNER, JOSE, CLAIMED HE KNEW NOTHING. He personally stated that he had been present on BOTH days my dogs were boarded, yet claimed he was unaware of any incident that could explain Ari's injuries.
A BLOODY PAW PRINT WAS FOUND IN THEIR KENNEL. According to what I was told, a bloody paw print had been discovered inside the kennel. Yet NO ONE contacted me, notified me of a potential injury, or explained what happened. By the time I returned to the facility, the kennel had already been cleaned.
MY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING OTHER DOGS WERE QUESTIONABLE. I specifically told Fur Seasons NOT to place my dogs with unfamiliar dogs. However, when I picked them up and asked an employee about their stay, she stated, "They actually did much better this time around, yet they seem to not really want to be acquainted with others."
If my dogs were supposedly NEVER placed with unfamiliar dogs, why was this comment made? What interactions was she referring to?
THE CAMERA VIEW DIDN'T EVEN SHOW THEIR KENNEL! I was informed that between approximately 8 PM and 6 AM, the animals are monitored through cameras. However, the camera view presented to me DID NOT EVEN CAPTURE THE KENNEL WHERE MY DOGS WERE ACTUALLY STAYING!
MY DOGS WERE MOVED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. I discovered that my dogs had been relocated from one kennel to another without anyone notifying me.
I PROVIDED TOYS THAT APPEARED TO HAVE NEVER BEEN USED. I brought personal belongings to make their stay more comfortable, yet none of their toys appeared to have been used.
I WAS DENIED THE DOCUMENTATION I REQUESTED. While Ari was receiving veterinary treatment, I repeatedly called Fur Seasons seeking answers. After going back and forth over the phone, I showed up in person.
I SPENT APPROXIMATELY 2.5 HOURS QUESTIONING THE OWNER AND REQUESTING ANY PAPERWORK RELATED TO MY ANIMALS' STAY.
I received NOTHING. No incident report, no kennel records, and no documentation explaining Ari's injuries.
INSTEAD, I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE THE ESTABLISHMENT.
I contacted law enforcement and waited outside for officers to arrive. While waiting, I WAS ALSO TOLD TO LEAVE THEIR PARKING LOT!
Management suggested that my own dogs could have caused these injuries. My dogs have lived together for YEARS without ever inflicting wounds of this severity on one another.
I understand accidents can happen, but how does a dog sustain serious gashes requiring staples, a bloody paw print reportedly gets discovered in the kennel, and NOBODY notices or informs the owner?
I PAID APPROXIMATELY $250 FOR BOARDING, ONLY TO PAY ADDITIONAL VETERINARY EXPENSES AND BE LEFT WITHOUT ANSWERS.
I am currently exploring my legal options regarding this situation.
I am sharing MY personal experience because I believe pet owners deserve transparency about the establishments they trust with their animals.
I DROPPED OFF THREE HEALTHY DOGS. I PICKED UP ONE WITH SERIOUS INJURIES THAT NOBODY CAN EXPLAIN.
My dogs are my FAMILY. I trusted this business to care for them, and I am devastated by what happened to Ari and how my concerns were handled afterward.
EL PASO, PLEASE SHARE AND HELP SPREAD AWARENESS.
Ari deserved better. No pet owner should have to fight this hard just to find out what happened to their animal.
