She was patient as we made our selections. When selecting macaron flavors, she noticed one of my choices was accidentally left from the day before, she was transparent about her oversight and gave me the flavor I wanted while also allowing me to pick a new fresh flavor! I appreciate her honesty and ensuring I had a great first experience! Everything we had was amazing! The macaron flavors were exactly as described and fun! They slightly varied in texture between different flavors but all very pleasant and to be expected as she is so experimental with the flavor options! The cannolis were rich and very enjoyable. Today was my second time visiting and I really love this place! So far I've tried the macarons, cinnamon rolls and cheesecakes and all are very good. The macarons come in soooo many shapes, sizes and flavors; my 4 year old thoroughly enjoyed picking out her tasty treats. Together we tired the watermelon, gingerbread and fruity pebbles macarons. I went here a few weeks ago and was pretty disappointed. I got a few different Macarons along with a coffee. I decided to try the Strawberry Cheesecake Mocha & it had the weirdest taste in it that I couldn't stomach to finish it. It was an after taste I detected in most of their drinks, but that one was the worst. My friends got a few drinks themselves and although there's were better it's not necessarily a place I'm itching to go to again any time soon. As for the macarons, I had the oatmeal one ( which was the best one ! ) and a cookie monster ( which was gross and stale ). My friends had the same issue with their macaroons being stale as if they're sitting there ages and not really selling. The only had one person working and it began to pick up. She would do an order for one of us, make a drink and then take the next order. Since we're a group it would have been easier to take our whole order for the 3 of us and make our drinks together. I watched her technique alone back her up as more people came in. Ambiance was okay and server overall didnt give off a welcoming demeanor. I dont think she wanted to be there as much as her stale macarons. As for the vibe, nothing worth commenting on. So I was actually going to Jersey Mikes when I stumbled on this cute little spot. When you walk in they have little tables where you can sit and enjoy you treats and a really cute photo op set up. Service was good. The young lady who waited on me was friendly and helpful. The food was decent, I had a cookie and cream macaroon and an apple tart which when warmed and ice cream added was very good. I can't complain. They even have an area for kids to play so it was nice to be able to have coffee with a friend knowing my kid is safe and also having a good time. It's hard to find kid friendly cafes! Prices are reasonable and they offer stamp cards as well. They offer nondairy and decaf options and there are SO many macaron flavors it's overwhelming. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, like I did... Very disappointed! I hate leaving negative reviews for small businesses, but this place is terrible. My girls got the gelato. The double chocolate was smooth, but the mint and chip was crystallized and gritty. It was disgusting and my 6 year old was upset. We approached the counter and asked if we could get a different flavor. The girl at the counter was rude and stated that's how gelato is. I explained the chocolate was smooth, but her attitude was condescending. I wasn't going to argue over a $5 gelato and my daughter started to cry. That's not how you treat customers. We weren't asking for a refund or trying to get something for free. Why would you assume we don't know what gelato is?! There were so many other ways to handle the situation, especially when it involves a child. We ended up leaving with our daughter in tears and feeling ripped off. This was our first and LAST visit. I would not waste my time or money with a business like this. I should have used my better judgement. Things did not look fresh and the freezer was iced over. It looks like they dump the old stuff on top of the new batch. My expectations were low based on my first impression, but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. The place is beautiful, and so are the treats. I bought 12 macaroons, a pistachio croissant, and the berry Brioche. They definitely were NOT fresh. The croissant was chewy, not crisp, but it had a good flavor. The Brioch was also not fresh, also good in flavor, just not a fresh texture. All but the watermelon and jasmine tastes like freezer mixed with sugar. The texture of them should have melted in my mouth, but again, it just didn't seem fresh. I think when I saw the sign that says "everything made from scratch. In house. Every day.". Apart from it being a grammatical mess, I think it misleads people to believe that everything is made fresh every day when, in reality, it's a day old or so. What a cute spot to get some neat treats. The options were almost overwhelming as I did not know what to get and what to come back for another day. We did finally get a few macarons, snickers, Cookie Monster, bean, cheese burger, pizza and the last I cannot recall but delicious. We tried Gingerbread, Ube, Dulce de Leche, Candy Apple, Bourbon Pecan Pie & Honeycomb with Fig Jam..... every single one I'd buy again!!! We ALSO had to try one of their Amazing Croissants... picking only one flavor was so hard! But we decided on their Strawberry Shortcake & it was AMAZING!!!
