I recently spoke to a Momentum sales representative who was doing a quote for my next door neighbor. Although I'm not a customer, their representative was very low key and never pressed me to make a sale. I will say after a lengthy conversation, I was impressed with his knowledge and how he communicated his companies services along with his understanding of the current industry and utility/local government policies. I know there are numerous contractors selling solar panel installations but this representative clearly made a case for considering Momentum in anyone's research for a contractor. In addition, just like myself, installing Solar Panels definitely needs to be considered by any home owner. Utility rates continue to rise, temperature trends had air conditioning costs for Florida and much of the country continue to break records while interest rates and Federal Energy tax credits (30%) really make the decision to go solar an easy one. Been over a month and still no change. Momentum Solar and Enphase refuse to communicate, refuse to schedule inspections, and now SECO is threatening to shut off our power because yall installed the batteries without the proper applications, permits, and inspections. Your first inspector didnt do their due diligence to actually inspect to make sure the work needing to be done could. The lack of information made the installers complete a 6 hour job in 2 days totaling 14+ hours. Then yall said they forgot to install something so they came out a 3rd time, and now just on Monday 3/23/2026 yall had your installers out FOR A FOURTH TIME IN 2 MONTHS because yall said they didnt install yet another thing, but the installers even showed me that what yall told them to install was already there. At this point its not worth going through the headache because yall chose to drag your knuckles, delay and neglect this entire process, and refuse to contact us back. At this point im getting a lawyer involved for breach of contract. Do not go with this company if you're looking for a solar system to be installed. Momentum Solar relentlessly harasses my family and people in my neighborhood on a regular basis by trespassing, soliciting solar products and services, and in one case--not leaving when my wife asked a sales rep to leave and I had to leave my home office to make the man leave. Momentum social media managers often ask people to email them their contact information to get the harassment to stop, but judging by the reviews on Google Maps it doesn't work. Momentum Solar needs to have and enforce a policy for their door to door reps to not trespass or solicit when people have no trespassing and no soliciting signs on their property. We purchased a house that had solar panels installed. We needed to get a new roof and had a coupon for a "free" removal and reinstall. We contacted momentum to do the removal and were told it was going to be 15k for the "free" removal. They finally agreed to honor to coupon, however, it was weeks of nasty and unproductive calls to try to get it scheduled. We had to move our roof replacement 5 times because they were unresponsive and gave us the run around to schedule. We finally had them removed and now are being told that they have stopped scheduling for the summer and won't give us a date for the reinstall. Zero communication - just that they'll tell us one day when then decide to start scheduling again. So our solar panels are just sitting on pallets in our yard as hurricane season is approaching. I would never never never never never recommend this company. It is a scam. Avoid at all costs. Read the rest of the reviews and you'll understand why you should go with anyone aside from this company. To Whom it may concern, I'm selling my home and was in contract twice but lost both deals. I have a 56 panel system done by Momentum and it has caused people to back out. The Insurance company's are telling them that a re-roof will be needed in under 3 years. The cost to remove and replace will cost $16-$18.000 plus the cost of the roof. The kicker is that ONLY YOU can do it or it will void the warranty. The one time R&R warranty is not worth the paper it's written on if I can't Transfer it!! So every time the Insurance company dictates you need a new roof it's going to cost approximately $32,500.00. That's Insane!!!! Based upon my math, solar, actually over a period of time, costs way more than having just a regular power bill. Average bill is about $300 a month. That makes 10 years $36,000. So why bother with solar? Hopefully I will be able to sell my home. 65K right out the window. I'll never do this again! With owning the entire system out right, I should be able to do what I want, when I want. I should not be held captive by Momentum. We were diligently pursued and Asked to consider solar. We received phone calls & we had a salesperson come to our door. Even though we should have really come to this website First. we had an inspection done of our roof by momentum supposedly that our roof was good & it took them several months to get the solar panels actually on our roof & activated. September/october is when the solar panels were finally put on our roof & it was January before we started to actually have active energy. We received a letter from our home owners insurance in January, Stating that our roof was not good. We told our homeowners insurance that we had an inspection done just a few months prior with the solar panel company. It said that our roof was good & asked if we could give that to them, they said no, they wanted to do their own inspection, we had to pay for them to do their own inspection, their inspection stated our roof was not good & that we had to have the solar panels removed & replace our roof otherwise We would not be renewed FOR INSURANCE ON OUR HOME. We have been trying to get ahold of momentum for months to get the solar panels removed so we can replace our roof we have to have a new roof & we can't go without insurance even though it does NOT make sense that inspections few months apart would not match. I finally got someone to call me back to get the solar panels removed so that we could get a new roof & they said it would be 7200k. We were told by William the sales person that came to our house & did all of the paperwork with us that at any time in the future If our roof needs to be replaced the panels would be removed & stored free of charge as they are a lease & they want to protect their product. We have to pay 20k for a new roof there is no way that we can pay 7200k to have these panels removed. It has been so sad & stressful trying to deal with this company. Now that we actually need their help & we feel very scammed & are in such a terrible position because we don't have the money to have these panels removed & we absolutely have to get a new roof & have insurance on our home. Momentum SOLAR is definitely a fraudulent company, it is a SCAM We contacted them again for the suggestion of an employee, to see if they could solve the big problem we got into for having signed a fraudulent contract with a wrong offer, and the only solution they offered us was to add more panels to cover what the seller had offered us since the beginning costing us more money and not only that but we had to find someone who lends the money to us. This company starts off real well. Sales was a good group of people, but the tech and customer service side of the company is an absolute disgrace. No one will call me back. Ive had 6 different people say they would look into getting a tech out sooner to solve the issue, yet I have received no calls. As a matter of fact, for the SECOND time, I had a tech show up at my door saying he was here to turn the system on and or do repairs. I cannot get ahold of anyone that is willing to help me out and make this correct or even give me a real date and time these repairs will happen. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!!!! The salesmen pretended to review our account statements from the electric company that we have (SECO), in order to draw up an "accurate" offer based on our average consumption. He lied to us stating that per our statements, our average was 10,253 kWh and he was going to install panels that would cover 10,590 kWh. According to this offer he developed, we accepted and signed. After the installation, we noticed that the panels were barely covering any of our consumption. We made several attempts to address this situation but we were just told to wait about a year to be able to see the benefits. It's been over a year now and the situation has only gotten worse. We continue to pay the same amount on our electric bill from before the panels were installed PLUS the cost of the panels. This time we decided to contact SECO (our electric company) directly for help, and they told us that our consumption has always been 15,886 kWh, even prior to the panels. SECO explained that this would have been seen in our account statements that we provided the solar panel company. Therefore, the salesman falsified the consumption amount on our contract to provide a price that would get us to buy, knowing that this would not cover our consumption and we would be forced to pay more for additional panels in the end. Despite Momentum Solar having made this error on our contract, they continue to tell us that the only solution is to pay for more panels. Be very careful and do your research. There are a lot of great and genuine solar panel companies out there that are not trying to scam you, but once you sign with Momentum Solar you will be stuck and ripped off!!!! read more

I received top-notch equipment, a stellar installation, a great price, and easy financing. As I mentioned, for the BEST experience, PLEASE do your homework and learn about solar. Specifically, what it can and can't do, the many parameters unique to each installation, and how much you're currently paying. It's been 1 year since signing, and my electricity provider has increased their rates 4 times during that period making my Momentum purchase a no-brainer.
