Molly Tea actually gets into the traditional Chinese tea blends: jasmine, gardenia, osmanthus, white champaca, golden peony. I got their classic jasmine and the girlfriend got the peach oolong. Both were fantastic, floral, subtly sweet, and just the perfect balance! Also, what helps is they have these narrow straws to use so you can enjoy the tea at a slower pace. Pricing is not bad given the premium-ness, and it's NYC. Waiting for your tea is kind of a shitshow though. SUPER busy but the jasmine milk tea is great. I've never seen this place NOT busy but if you've got 15-30 minutes to kill, don't let the crowd of people discourage you. The staff does their best to get through all the orders. Ordering online is not faster unfortunately. The drinks can be cold or hot, but only the fresh milk can be made hot. Wanted to try this place for a while and finally got to check it out on the weekend with my S.O. We got the Jasmine milk tea and the Gardenia Milk tea. Both were very good and strong. I recommend their Jasmine milk tea, it had me blown away! Lines do get long so get there early and they offer samples sometimes since they just opened not to long ago. I was super excited to see that they have Dan Cong (my favorite type of oolong tea) on the menu, but had to try their top seller on my first visit here. The Premium Jasmine Milk Tea was very tasty! This place is worth the hype! There is a long line down prince street but it's worth the wait. You place your order on the left of the store. The line is 10-20 deep, depending on the time your are placing the order. Then you wait outside or come back in 15 - 25 mins to see it you order has been made. There is a list of recommended favorites to help you pick. Each type of drink seems to have a different color cup. We went with the cold jasmine and hot champoca ones. Both were delicious! However, I think this place really lives up to the hype compared to some other hype tea spots boasting how their tea is so pure. Ordered the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea (their most popular drink) at their recommended 70% sweetness/less ice. Waited about 10-15min on a Saturday around noon. They move pretty quick. Was treated with one of the strongest tea flavored milk teas I've had (in a good way). The Jasmine had some really nice strong notes. Probably some of the strongest I've had. Super enjoyable! The only things that are kind of a letdown is the straw is basically just three coffee stirrers combined so you can't really drink as fast as you'd like. Also they don't do boba. Although I saw they do put whipped cream on some drinks if you're into that. All-in-all, I'd say definitely worth a visit. I plan on coming back here whenever I'm done grocery shopping at flushing. Have been here a couple times - it's hard to miss since a line usually wraps around the front of the store, and you'll see patrons holding aesthetically pastel paper cups the closer you get. One visit was right when they opened and had a promo for two teas (a tea set, if you will), and the second was since we were nearby. Order at the front and wait for your order number to be ready on the TV screen. I find you have to show your receipt to the employee, elsewise someone with a higher number will wave their receipt and get their order earlier. Between the visits, we got the premium jasmine oat milk, a snowy jasmine, and an osmanthas milk tea. Definitely very fragrant teas, but the price point without a promo feels inflated. In my opinion, it's a similar taste to CHICHA (at least for the flavors offered) so if you factor in price and wait time, Molly Tea might be worth it for you. I will say the packaging is very instagrammable, and they'll give you a little insulated pink bag to keep the tea "warm", but I think it's all part of the genius marketing. I finally tried out this place after passing by it constantly and seeing the long lines of people. I tried to get here earlier (before 12pm) on a Friday before the crowds. It's a bit chaotic to order and pick up your drink. I ordered the Snowy Jasmine drink (jasmine green tea, milk, jasmine cream frappe) and my friend ordered the Premium Jasmine Super Matcha drink. They recommended 70% sugar and less ice but I requested 50% sugar since I don't like sweet drinks. It tasted fine at 50% sugar and could have done 30% sugar to be honest. The jasmine tea was light and floral. We received our drinks after a 15 minute wait which I guess isn't too long of a wait but I don't think it's worth the average 30 minute wait time. This is mostly because the storefront is pretty small and there isn't a waiting area inside. Known for fresh quality brewed milk tea (not known for their toppings). If it's your first time I would recommend their jasmine green tea. It is more on the fragrant side. The champaca oolong milk tea is my go-to nowadays. All their drinks aren't overly sweet either. The cups are insulated and super cute. The drinks are pricey but not necessarily more than other "premier" tea spots. At first, I didn't understand the hype because I got the snowy jasmine drink. I realized I'm not the biggest fan of Jasmine, so my friend recommended that I tried the white champaca. I tried the white champaca milk tea and white champaca oolong milk tea, and I prefer the white champaca with oolong. It gives more of a bolder and deeper flavor than without oolong. Now I'm a Molly tea fan! It's fragrant and creamy. I don't really like my tea to be very floral like how Jasmine is, and because their tea is so fragrant I taste the floral more than other places. They did forget to give me a straw once and I poured it out into a cup at home and realized how little volume they give, I was able to chug it down pretty quick. I went today and got a straw and noticed that the straw really slows my progress of drinking, giving an illusion that they give a lot more than they really do. Genius business idea to be honest!
