It isn't related to the other "Landing" restaurants that are around Toronto. There is a patio that looks out onto the marina. It's very lovely but we were afraid of bugs so we stayed inside. We noticed that another group that was originally outside moved in after it got dark. You can catch the sunset here though, very scenic! Inside they have normal tables and ones with loungey leather chairs. You tend to sink into the latter so it makes it a little harder to eat unless you're sitting right at the edge of the table. These would be great if you're just having a drink. Service was good. The waitress checked in on us a few times and our waters were always topped off. The food was the part that fell a bit short. The maple pork medallions were the best thing at the table. I ordered a pound of wings which is supposed to be an appetizer but was quite filling for me. Interestingly enough, I had wings earlier that day and this 1 pound of wings had more wings than the other place, so at least you got a lot more in quantity. In terms of quality, I had a garlic parmesean sauce. The bottom of the dish was almost all oil - I have to assume that this is from the parm oil. It almost looked like butter but didn't taste like it. The wings were pretty dry inside and out. I also found a tiny tiny fly mixed in with the cheese. Not sure if it was from the patio door being opened so frequently. My friend was also disappointed in the chicken pasta. It was pretty bland and she had to salt it a lot to no avail. We wanted to try the dessert to see if the meal could be salvaged. We ordered the caramel chocolate cake. This cake had a hint of soap taste to me. My friends liked it though. If you want something a little different than a chain restaurant, this wasn't bad. It wasn't as nice as other hotel restaurants but it was fine for a utility meal.

SCAM ALERT I…read moreordered a 19" pizza online. I got a call from a 241 pizza call centre (apparently the same place?) to tell me the restaurant can't make this pizza. I asked for an equivalent amount of pizza in sizes the restaurant could make. 2x 14" pizzas is close. Should be a no brainer? Apparently not. NOP decided that I should pay $5 more for this inconvenience, and the call centre would need to check with the restaurant. Honestly, I didn't care at the time. I asked the person I was speaking with to make sure the pizza would start cooking either way. I went into the local supermarket for a moment and missed a call. Voicemail said: No, the restaurant won't make a comparable amount of pizza either. What is this place good for? Not pizza, they don't seem to like making pizza. So I had to call the restaurant and then call centre back to get a refund, which I'm told will be processed in a few days. Awful experience. Looking forward to supporting any other Wiarton business in the future. If this review deters you from ordering, give it a like so NOP knows they lost more than $5 (OK maybe this is not an actual scam but NOP Wiarton has customer service bad enough it may as well have been)

They serve up some pretty delicious pizzas for a town as small as Wiarton. The town has very limited options which is not a surprise considering that it has only about ten restaurants. The pizzeria is a good place to stop over on your way to the Bruce peninsula. They have three tables of 4 if you want to eat in. The staff are also quite friendly. We ordered a garlic bread this time and it was so good that it was better than their pizza. It might also be because we had just hiked 8 kms and were starving. For the pizza toppings I like their salami and deluxe pizza. I stop by at this place every time I am up here. The quality and freshness have been pretty consistent. Can't go wrong with that.

We ordered a couple of appetizers and a whole bunch of pasta. Me personally, I ordered the carbonara and was very excited for it. However, once it came, it reflected more of Alfredo than a carbonara. Some would say to lower your expectations however, if I order something, I would expect it to come out that way. So the food for me did not hit at all. However, the staff and the overall vibes of the restaurant is the only reason we gave this a two star rating.

Magnone's is one of the better dining experiences available, in a nice fancy restaurant environment, but food and service can be hit or miss. The pastas are decent, average/average+ with good flavours and use of fresh ingredients and cheeses, but expensive for what you get. Carbonara was rich with a creamy sauce. The kids menu offers some basic classics (Alfredo, buttered parm pasta, or cheese pizza) at a decent price. Service can be spotty. One of our meals (of our party of 8) wasn't served with the others, with waitstaff saying "it would be another few minutes". Fifteen minutes later, it was clear that the order had been initially forgotten, when a barely-cooked, rush-order ravioli was delivered. It's still a popular place as it's hard to get a table here. Either reserve several days in advance, or walk-in very early or late.
