This company hires local people as inspectors. The inspector is quite knowledgeable and thorough, and communicates well. The only drawback is test samples need to send to Georgia and takes over a week to get results. The price is reasonable. read more

Cost stated as $500 with $50 and remainder to be paid when tech showed up. They charged my card prior to tech arrival. Tech did not know area of my concern as apparently the rep from the company did not relay my info. I have some concerns about the tech. Buyer beware! I don't believe their results are accurate. It is my opinion they give you a result that sets off alarm bells to put you back on your heals. Then they hand you off to BioCide labs and convince you that you need $1200 of fogger bombs and a $500 air scrubber and filters. What they send you is is product you can buy at home depot for $19 dollars a gal. You might need a few gallons for a 2000 sq ft home. You can rent a fogger at home depot. The product you will need to duplicate theirs is Clorox Turbo Pro Bleach Free Disinfectant Cleaner for Sprayer Devices 121 oz. This exactly the same solution. They cost me $1800 because after they take your credit card info you get an email that all sales are final no returns. I cancelled to order same day but they sent the package anyway. These people are going to Hell for sure!!! This product does work according to many testimonials. Go to Home Depot. Fog your rooms one at a time and your ac system. Poorly run company. I made an appointment for a test and they sent out someone who didn't even have the equipment to do the work. The guy drove from over an hour away and then realized he didn't have the equipment so he left in a huff. Mold test offered a reschedule and discount but it took too long soI found another business. I politely canceled and then I had to contact my credit card to dispute the charge for the deposit. They operate on the East coast and schedule independent contractors. I'm SO embarassed I didn't read reviews before "choosing" to work with this company. absolutely AWFUL experience. it's a scam. truly. the TEST is $600. they charged before they even sent anyone out. no showed us and then "conveniently" scheduled during dinner time. I realize how emotional this sounds but the worst part is that they so (again) conveniently pass you along to a chemical company (BioCide) to immediately help you with your remediation after scaring the crap out of you with your results (and no mold test knowledge..putting you on your heels - how am I to compare / trust?!) $3k later of equipment etc etc - what an absolute JOKE. this company is a scam, broker company that sends a subcontractor to do the testing, the company any was not qualified and did a poor job, results showed mold so they called and fear mongered us into spending a bunch of money with another company Biocide that they are obviously getting kickbacks from, none of it helped us and we have now spent an incredible amount of money with reputable companies that understand the actual problems. avoid this company and look for a real mold/ air test company. they do not use real environmental people, part of the "testing" was an app on the guys phone. stay away. read more

I can only address my own bad experience with Mold Test Company (MTC) but I have a feeling I'm not the only customer they've ripped off and lied to. On May 6, 2024, I paid $1,676 to MTC for a VOC air test, which included an additional fee for a one-week turnaround time on my analysis report. It took them 11 days to send me the report. So much for that extra fee for expedited results. During that time, I spoke with two different MTC representatives who both told me that my results were late due to a FedEx shipping delay. I have this in writing, in a text message that one of the reps sent me. I found the FedEx shipping details which showed that my air sample arrived at the lab the day after it was shipped. There was no shipping delay. They lied. On May 24, I wrote to MTC asking for a refund because not only did they fail to deliver my results within the promised seven days (for which I paid an additional fee) but two of their employees blatantly lied to me. I included documentation of everything ... the text message, the FedEx shipping info and the date when my report was finally delivered to me. It has now been seven days since I sent that message. I haven't received a response to my e-mail, an acknowledgement that they even received it or a refund. If you're considering using Mold Test Company for anything...don't. read more

I traditionally look at Yelp reviews to see what people think, but have never posted anything until now. This bait and switch tactic plus the rude & indifferent Mgmt pushed me to action. My wife ordered a mold test for our son in NYC. He was sick and we believed it may be related to mold in the apartment (as he had a similar experience a year earlier at school). The company promised a qualified tech would come out to conduct the test. She provided our sons contact info. The company then called him directly, saying they were backlogged w tech appts and wanted to send him the test to do himself (same price, no discount which is also shocking); he was sick, keep in mind, and agreed. He mentioned this to us and we tried to cancel the service; the company said "too late", they had already sent the test kit Our son never opened the test kit, mailed it back at his expense and we found another service who actually provided a tech visit. During our attempts to get a refund, this Mold Test Company was more concerned with how old our son was (yes 21+; recent grad) and recorded the calls so, viewed their proposed change of mailing the kit to him as legally binding (despite him being sick and home from his new job). They put greed and $ over customer care and doing what is right. BEWARE!!! read more

I'm usually in the position of posting highly critical reviews on Yelp and other sites, so it is a very exceptional occasion when I am generally positive and at all promotional of a service experience. However today I was absolutely knocked out with the quality, professionalism, and customer-oriented service we received from our air quality tech, Eric, and the Mold Test Company. In the past contractors and other service representatives have done shoddy work and we've experienced considerably worse than that. My faith in hiring companies and their techs has been greatly restored,based on Eric's excellent attention to our mold issues. Simply outstanding service... Promised exactly what I asked for, delivered none of it. Apartment above me flooded my bathroom. I asked for water/moisture readings within the walls of that room, and any mold report to coincide. Inspector showed up, dressed for the club, took two air quality samples, swabbed the ac duct. Gave me a report on air quality and mold in the air and ac ducts. Nothing on moisture in my walls, despite promising me that report. read more
