It is wiped down, without cleaner. So throughout the day people walk into dirty floors. I got two foot infections from these dirty floors. Not only that the floors are buckling because of the intense heat, and they are never fixed. Just tape. The washrooms are hardly cleaned and having signs that forbid people from pooping is totally ridiculous and violates just basic rights. The change room and showers are never cleaned. With all of this the studio itself is just badly run. Inconsistent schedules, reduced classes on the weekend, huge overturn of instructors. It's not consistent in any way. There is also a lack of equipment for floor Pilates and the equipment always smells and is never clean. This is not a yoga studio just a business for the owner to make money and she doesn't care if you complain because "she's rich". There are many other establishments in Markham that have a better yoga community, consistent schedule and clean studios. Not worth your money. I quit because of all these reason.

There is a great variety of classes offered for both heated and non heated. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodates all levels of yoga experience. Blocks, straps, bars are all provided during classes and there is even free yoga mat storage upstairs. Everyone loves being here and the atmosphere is a reflection of this. The vibe is relaxed and loving; caring about the experience and the development of your practise. Changerooms are more than adequate for getting into comfortable clothing and storing away valuables. There are even showers and a vanity area to get yourself cleaned up after a hot yoga class. Schedules are posted online and the studio has a great presence on social media, which allows them to post updates such as substitute instructors or class cancellations immediately. There is something for everyone and being open every day of the week adds to the convenience. I thoroughly enjoy each time I attend a class here and feel recharged after heading home. Since it is a brand new studio in a brand new retail plaza.. Moksha Yoga Maple can build and design exactly the way the owner envisioned, compared to a lot of other studios that need to convert or remodel existing spaces/business. There are tons of little cubicles for your shoes right when you walk in.. and thanks so much that there are padded benches for people actually sit down and put on/off their shoes!! hopping on one leg and balancing trying put on winter boots are not fun! The staffs are really friendly! Welcoming to first timer and everyone new to the practice/studio. The teacher, Vanessa actually sat in the front and reading all the new wavier forms people signed and ask questions if anyone new to the practice individually or have any concerns even before going inside the practice room. Vanessa even explain to all the newcomers what to expect...I really like that caring vibe... and how she really respect the students and herself as a teacher. The whole studio has a colour theme "Green". All the towels, (BTW the rental towel is one of those yogitoes) , mats, painted walls.. are all in the same colour theme.. Went for my first aerial yoga class through Groupon. Nice that they have lockers but I don't know…read morewhy they need to take your picture "for reference". This was an all levels class but it seemed like most people have been here before. The instructor just jumped right in with no intro or anything. Although it's a relatively small class of 12, I feel like you don't get help if you need it. I just felt really uncomfortable the whole time, both emotionally and physically. Emotionally because he didn't really slow down or show any modifications, he just demonstrated and has us try. The way he explained wasn't very technical either, so I wasn't sure whether I was doing it right or not. Also, I didn't like that he commented sometimes in cantonese. Just because the students are mostly Chinese doesn't mean that you should assume they understand it. Physically uncomfortable because the hammock was too high for me and it wasn't adjustable. He said that it's okay if it's too high because I'm going to invert upside down anyway. Somebody fell down and he calmly continued teaching, later asking if she was okay. Maybe it's his teaching style, but I just don't feel comfortable going to another one of his classes.

The Instructor is really helpful and he has other students and assistants in the class to help students get into the poses if you sign up for any of the All Level Classes. I took a Hanuman Yoga class which was really hard. This class uses a yoga strap, which you use to invert yourself from the ceiling and to perform all of the poses. I actually found this class a little too difficult for myself but I did appreciate all of the help from the instructor, his assistant and the other classmates. At this studio they have a few aerial yoga classes. The traditional aerial yoga class is done very high off the floor and was much more difficult than all of the other aerial yoga classes I have ever been to. I have a few more classes at this studio and am going to try the aerial yoga class, which happens on Wednesday evening since I was told it it done much closer to the ground. I think it will be more in line with the other aerial yoga classes I have done in the past. The studio also has a Hatha yoga class which is completed on the floor and if the other aerial yoga class is too difficult I might check that one out on a Sunday to see what I think of it.
