Perfectly cooked salmon, a silken wonder!
    Claire K.

Open weekdays for lunch. Reservations should be made a month in advance as Mokonuts is a small restaurant and loved by an international crowd of foodies. It is my absolute favorite in Paris where I lived for 17 years. Seasonal cooking and natural wines at their best, served in a warm, exceptionally hospitable atmosphere. A joy! Moko and Omar have just put out a cookbook/memoir, beautifully written and photographed featuring a hit parade of dishes and, of course, Moko's justly famous cookies! If you cannot score a Mokonuts reservation, try Mokochaya or Mokoloco nearby. You will be glad you did!

We made reservations to Mokonuts several months in advance and were ready to try their complete menu of the day. All the dishes were made with such craft, it was hard not to let want to order more. Our orders were: Labné, broccolini Egg, porcini mushroom, kale MAIN COURSES Slow cooked Hamachi, potatoes, red cabbage Organic chicken, carrots, chanterelle mushrooms DESSERTS Fig tart, black sesame, macerated lemon Yogurt sorbet, apple plum crisp ALL AMAZING AMAZING!!! OUR tastebuds went into overdrive with how much they were working to keep up with the demand of flavor, texture and overall comfort of the food. It is a sad day for me because I now know I'll have to travel across the world to have the same experience I've had here today (10/8/25), Thank you for having us!

Food and desserts are just amazing here. Don't come without a reservation as several people were turned away during our meal. This place is definitely worth a stop while your in Paris!!!

Chicken with bok choy and purple potatoes -- my wife loved it

Food was fantastically fresh with super high quality ingredients that were prepared simply but expertly. Servings were a bit small but we left satisfied. Ambiance was a small but very homey sliver of a place, very warm and inviting. The woman who runs it is incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. As to the food -- labne is out of this world creamy and the bread (all the baked goods actually) were top notch. My wife loved the tortellini and the chicken and I loved the super fresh salmon with Brussels sprouts. The desserts were also great -- a kumquat and like tarte with a sunflower crust as well as a pear tart. Would gladly return

Cute gem in the city. The restaurant is pretty cozy so I think they only take reservations, but well worth it! If you can, get everything on the menu lol. The food was incredible. I cleaned everything off the plates. All the ingredients tasted fresh and very high quality. Owners were super nice and took time to explain the menu. I had a wonderful experience.

Made a quick trip to Paris and I didn't want the fuss of hauling around a garment bag and suit in order to hit the 3-Star establishments. But at the same time I wanted to eat top level Parisian food. What to do? The answer was Mokonuts. Run by the amazing couple Moko & Omar, Mokonuts is a labor of love that only opens for breakfast & lunch and only on weekdays...so they can spend quality time with their kids. This dedication to family pours straight through into the ambiance of the dining room as well as the home made quality of their food. With a small menu that changes daily, the only reasonable thing to do was order the entire menu (couldn't show all the pics here). Everything tasted complex but also transparent in that the layers were numerous while also very clearly distinct. Freshness is obviously of major importance to them as every ingredient shines through. We happened to sit next to a friend of Moko's and they were bantering around as she worked and it felt like sitting in their home kitchen during a dinner party. Just the most "warm feeling" I have ever experienced in a restaurant. And to top it off, we took the exquisite cookies to go and enjoyed them the next day while we dreamed of returning once again.

    Bread and labneh

Not to be dramatic, but this is the best lunch I've ever had. I loved the daily menu but she was SO accommodating and made me a special vegetarian offering. The bread was crispy yet soft with the right saltiness and the labneh was the perfect accompaniment. The chicken was tender and juicy with an excellently crisped skin. And to top it all off, the mochi and pomegranate dessert blew our minds. We've tried to find anything that competes with it but nothing even comes close. The cozy local vibes were so welcoming and made the experience even more special. We can't wait to come back, hopefully soon. We'd go to Paris just to visit Mokonuts again!

Rye toast - labneh and tomatoes

Came here for breakfast with my friend and we ordered the apple grape scone, fig tart and rye toast labne et tomate. Everything was good and the apple grape scone came with butter. I am heavily convinced that Europe has better milk than the US because my latte was the best I had in a long time and it was very foamy on top. We overheard that for lunch and dinner service, reservations are a must. It sounded like they were fully booked for the week. I will definitely come back here if I ever visit Paris again.

Phenomenal lunch spot. It's cozy and intimate. They can fit a lone diner or couples. Not a huge space for groups. The white wine of the day was phenomenal.. almost something you'd get with a wine pairing at fine dining. The labne was one of the best I've ever had. They give warm bread with it and refilled the bread too! The fish of the day was perfectly cooked and had a great side of vegetables in a unique sauce. The pumpkin pie was good.. the most artisan and unique version I've had before. Service was attentive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone to come here

    Labne ice cream

Literally the best meal we had in paris. Moko was so welcoming and accommodating (we are both vegetarians). Omar is an incredible chef. The produce is clearly fresh and very seasonal. We had the labne-which was the best I've ever had, tomato salad with eggplant purée, and a sautéed vegetables in an amazing sauce. For dessert we had the labne ice cream. Probably one of the top meals I've had period. definitely visit and definitely get a reservation!

Tiny cafe with sweet service and delicious and unique dishes! My husband and I called a week ahead to book a seat for lunch on a Monday around noon. With only less than twenty seats in the place, it's a good idea to book ahead if you're going at peak hours. We were greeted and seated by a sweet lady who I presume is one of the owners (based on other reviews read). The menu was short and in French but she came right over to help us with the translation. I would say the guest who come to dine are an even mix of foreigner/travelers and locals. We ended up choosing an egg with green entree and the two mains they had for the day, a chicken and a fish dish. Also we had two noisettes that were delicious (my husband would of liked a stronger coffee taste though). Our food was brought out in decent timing. The kitchen is so small so it's rather impressive they can do all this back there. Our food was awesome. My husband's chicken had a nice crisp skin on it and Brussels sprouts that amazingly weren't bitter but tasty! My fish was super soft with just the right amount of crisp on the skin. The meat plates were €25 and €20, egg starter I think about €8-10, and noisettes €3-4 (sorry I can't remember exact pricing). Yes it was a little pricey for lunch but we wanted to try the food as we heard so much about this cafe. Definitely didn't disappoint but do know you'll probably spend a little bit more than you usually do on lunch. Five stars for great food taste, presentation, friendly service, clean restaurant, and good location! Thank you Mokonuts!

Tuna with clams, potatoes, and tomatoes!!! 16€

Wow, I'm surprised that it took me this long to write a review! Mokonuts is one of my favorite places in all of Paris. This bakery cafe is run by Japanese and Lebanese American couple, so yes, they speak English and French! Reservations are a MUST for lunch since this place gets packed and they can only seat maybe 20 guests. The menu is fresh and changes daily. What they do with the food is truly phenomenal. They offer food with a Mediterranean twist. Plates are meant to be shared so order a lot while you're there! They are a two person team so at times, the service can be slow, but they work incredibly hard. The bread that they provide are tiny nugget shaped fluffy pita like texture bread and it's phenomenal. They are chewy and just melt in your mouth. Some of my favorite dishes here are the red pepper hummus, meatballs, and labne!! I don't like seafood but I will eat it here! That's how good they are. A meal for two with drinks comes out to 40-50€. If you're in the area, come for the best latte in all of Paris and delicious baked treats. The baker/dessert chef is truly amazing and her cookies are out of this world. For only 2€, you'll be begging for more. My favorite is the multigrain chocolate and thus taste best when they are fresh out of the oven if you're lucky enough to be there for this experience. Run don't walk to Mokonuts but don't forget that reservation if you're going for lunch! Tell them Eileen sent you :)

Tomato & feta salad, labne, and bread
    Francesca G.

I want to start by saying how sad I am that this place isn't open over weekends! Luckily enough I had a day to work from home so popped in for lunch here with my mom and sister. The place is tiny, and was super warm inside, but we were able to snag seats by the fan. We ordered the labne and tomato & feta salad, as they had run out of the fish dishes (we came really late, after 2pm which is fair enough). Both were really fresh and delicious (they both had these amazing little baked cherry tomatoes on top that I hope I can recreate) and the bread they serve is great. We finished lunch with an amazing chocolate & grain cookie. I think the menu must change from time to time, but the choices of the day were the two dishes we had, plus a white tuna dish with beans and potatoes, and another fish dish with anchovies. We weren't super hungry so this was enough for a really light lunch. I'll definitely come back next time I can during the week! Also the couple who runs the place is really nice, and lived in New York so speak English

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
