What a terrific way to practice self care!! I had a facial and a massage & both were fantastic! The relaxation area was a perfect way to let go, enjoy some champagne, and enjoy the view. The facial left my skin glowing and the massage helped me to release built up tension. I'm so glad my friend and I chose to come here!

I live for the spa life I enjoyed the spa so much in Fort Worth that I decided to try out the one in Dallas at the OMNI hotel in downtown Dallas. Its Christmas time and shopping can be stressful. Soooo, after a full day of shopping, I ran up on Mokara. It wasn't as great as the Fort Worth one (see my review). I am sure the staff saw my disappointment, but it is still a good place for relaxation. I recommend it! The coded lockers were definitely a plus, as I am forgetful (especially while relaxed and after a drink). I didn't have to keep up with a key and I appreciated that. There are showers, dry sauna, services, and a relaxation room. I took advantage of everything and I must say the relaxation/cool down room had a great view!!! The staff recommended tea, but I opted for a mimosa instead. The ammenities include freebies in case you forgot something (this includes mouthwash, yessss) and there is water throughout. They made me feel like they were thoughtful, they even included a plastic bag for your swimwear, as they have a rooftop pool at this OMNI. My favorites were all there: Big, clean, fresh towels and cozy robe. They have free slippers as well, but I always bring my own to a spa.

My husband told me I was supposed to have a mimosa for my surprise spa day, but I only received champagne.

I went here for my birthday as a surprise. I received a massage (which was 15mins shorter than expected... I did arrive late so this may be why?) The massage was nice overall. I also received a manicure/pedicure. The manicurist was really nice and personable. However, my problem came with the quality and color selection Available for polish. Very outdated colors and old polish that was thick and messed up after over an hour of drying. Pedicure bowls are old and they do not use bags like the rest of the industry does. I did reach out the the manager about my polish being messed up on my hands and feet & I was refunded for those 2 services. Which is why I rated it 2 stars. The manager was polite and prompt in resolving my issues. Overall I would not come back to this spa personally, as I've been to other high end spas in Dallas that do a great job all around. Gratuity is also automatically billed for all services.

Oh my GOSH!!! Allan is the BOMB! I was here in 12/2019 and Allan was my massage therapist.....and I've returned, WI to TX, to have him AGAIN. Yes, HE is THAT amazing! I feel SUPURB!!! Between my AMAZING service with Eddie in the front of the spa, as I purchased shower bombs and again, bought them out, to Allans hand on massage techniques, I'm making my travels to RETURN for a repeat!!!! BTW, Dallas Omni Hotel is gorgeous too, but these two top it all!!!! Thank you again for your talents, Allan & Eddie!!!!

    Clearly sealed unreturnable spa product.

NO REFUNDS ON PRODUCTS Weeks ago, I visited the Mokara spa upstairs after treating a friend to brunch that Sunday at Texas Spice. I'd heard that the spa carried the Eminence skin care brand, which has an organic face moisturizer with spf and is hard to find. I needed it because I was flying to Mexico the next week and was out of facial sunscreen. I bought the sunscreen in a rush, because I had 3 friends that took this detour with me this day. I quickly glanced at the ingredients to make sure that they were organic, bought my product and went on my merry way. I wasn't verbally told that there were no refunds at the time of checkout neither was there any signage, or details of no refunds on my receipt. If this was communicated at the time of purchase, I would have taken more time to make this 80 dollar purchase, but unfortunately it wasn't. When I got home, I read the box in detail and found that there were ingredients that my sensitive skin may have a reaction to, so I decided to take it back during my lunch that same week. My friend and I walked back to Mokara that same week, because I work downtown, so I'm close to the Omni. When I went to return the product I was told that there were no returns by the manager, Irena. I didn't understand, because there is literally no place that I've frequented that does not allow one to return a product that does not have it blatantly displayed, stated on the receipt, or at least told verbally before the purchase is made, especially unopened. After many minutes of back and forth with Irena and no clarity brought about the no refund policy being displayed or communicated, I was told that the no refund policy was listed in a brochure on a table by the window behind a display that was never shown to me. I went downstairs to talk to the manager of the hotel. She only brought down Irena from the spa, who then stated to me that the reason for no return was because they could not tell if the product had been used. I responded over and over that I hadn't even taken the product out of the box to view it, and I had only looked at the ingredients on the outside box. The product was never opened. She offered no help, or aid for solution, no resolve.  I went home that day disappointed, frustrated with the feeling of being hoodwinked by a company that I came to trust in. My sister requested to actually see the product that I was so upset about because she had heard of the company recently from a sales rep. I opened the package and IT WAS SEALED!!! SEALED!!!! So there WAS a way to tell if the package had been opened or tampered with and the manager would've known this information because I didn't contest her statement. There was no way that I would've known that it was actually sealed. Either she knew that it was sealed and fed me a lie, or she didn't and doesn't know the products that she is selling and is communicating false information.  I am extremely disappointed in my experience. I don't like the way it was handled at all. Even the Forever 21 sales rep states as they checkout your purchase "that this purchase is non-refundable". Being an upscale spa at an upscale hotel, I expect better communication to be provided than a fast fashion chain. This is an opportunity to put clear communication protocols into place. I am certain the person communicating was doing her best and it just wasn't good enough. I definitely need a refund for my purchase, but none was offered, in fact it was refused.

Weekdays tend to be a quieter time to visit most busy hotspots with less crowds and more flexibility to enjoy the facilities. My 1st visit to the Mokara Spa and Salon was just divine. Sometimes we just don't realize how over exhausted and tense our bodies are until we make the schedule clearing time to completely decompress. That means no calls. No emails. Definitely no errands all over timbuck two. Just serene silence. Sitting still. Reading. Or soaking up the ambience. Earlier today I opted for the 30 minute exfoliating scrub. My massage guru Maria was so exacting in her healing touch, with the right amount of hands on pressure and small talk to get me on the road of being more balanced and centered. The spa faculty was top notch elegant and functional. First, I changed into their oh so super soft robe, had my initial sugar scrub with my essential oil of choice, there are three to choose from: a lavender blend(flowery), an orange vanilla(sunshine), or an earthy frankincense(hippee) oil. Then it off to the showers to rinse off the scrub. Second, Maria massaged shea butter into my skin to keep it glowing and radiant. Afterwards, I went to the spa rejuvenating room to sit and eat a health apple while sipping my complimentary sparklng wine. Loving every bit so far. Thirdly, I hopped into the dry sauna for a ten minute detox and to let the shea butter soak deeper into my skin. Finally, a soapy shower, bathing suit dressed, and out to the hotel pool for some laps and Dallas fun in the sun. Monday through Thursday both the pool and gym are available to spa guests to enjoy. Thank you, don't mind if I do. And of course I cannot wait to go back again. I am considering a monthly appointment just to really spoil myself and detox all the same.

The spa is clean and the staff extremely caring and dedicated. My hot stone massage with Kia (Nakita) was wonderful. They have a coed relaxation room with great views. Drawbacks, the spa was so busy there were not enough seats in the relaxation room and there is no wet sauna. I would definitely go back, but probably not on a weekend to get the full spa experience.

I have noticed with any type of spa experience the best time to go is during the week and in the morning. There was a ton of staff really taking care of the entire place and everything was being cleaned throughout the day. As stated, I really enjoyed going to a lot of the new rooms and to pool outside. If you are looking to relax , then look no further. Spa castle offers a relaxing and unique experience in Carrollton. #girlsmorningout

I remember it being a fine establishment for the price (10+ years ago). So seeing that they've recently renovated here I was curious and decided to go have a relaxing day. This place is not Korean and obviously not meant to be on par - it's a Chinese alternative and unfortunately cuts corners and costs wherever they can and it shows in how the reno was done. For 2 people it was close to $200 without any additional purchases. Issues 1) You put your shoes away in a small locker before proceeding to the main locker room. Typically in spas where you're forced to take off your shoes - the staff also do not where their personal outside shoes indoors. This was the first red flag. Everyone walks around in their normal shoes. You're basically walking behind them and stepping in all the filth from outside while being barefoot. I'm Asian, this is u acceptable. 2) A few pools indoors and out were inoperable because the caulk/sealant they used were coming off and floating around in abundance. I can't imagine what the pools with jets look like without the bubbles. You can see that the renovation was done hastily and someone even posted a picture of no permit work done. Concerning 3) In the men's area, the sauna was not hot. The steam room had a pungent paint/construction scent. Not something you'd want to breathe in for extended periods. 4) Saunas on the main floor had no identity to them. If you are used to going to other Korean spas, you will be familiar with each room actually having a unique healing property. How? You saw the bags of herb, you smelled it, the light sources were legit. Here each room is the same. The rooms with light therapy were cheap aliexpress strip led lights that didn't work in some cases. This place isn't worth the money. You can tell from an hour or two that no one really cares about the experience. It's a money grab.

She's 41, this is her first baby. It will probably be her ONLY baby. The women's body is crazy like that. Happy I'm able to decide what I want to do with my body. Tangent. I booked 2 massages. A maternity one and a regular Swedish massage. My friend goes in right before the appointment time. Perfect! My turn is coming right? Someone calls my name. Oops. She meant Catherine. Not Caroline. Idk that mistake happens often. I know because I have a sister whose name is Catherine. So I sit down. 20 minutes after my appointment time, the manager comes in and tells me the therapist didn't show up and they're fully committed today. (No wonder they confirmed the appointment a million times) she basically said "you ain't getting your massage today" but, nicer, wayyy nicer lol Am I annoyed? 100% Am I irritated? Totally I text my husband who is the rational one in the relationship and he said "give them some grace, it's not their fault someone didn't show up to work." He is right. They totally made up for it. I did the halotherapy which is this salt treatment thing and we got 2 pedicures. She even ended up comping my friends massage. The whole thing was comped. Honestly, she didn't have to do that. I could sense that she REALLY felt bad. Sometimes people apologize because they feel like they have to and it's not genuine. She was genuine. If I was a local, I'd come back just for the service. My friend loved her massage and really that's all that matters. (I have one scheduled in San Diego at the end of the month anyways) #firstworldproblems I hope my therapist is okay.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa Dallas: Almost $500 Per Person for the Ultimate Minimalist Luxury Experience…read more For my husband's birthday, we wanted a little five-star escape without flying to Hawaii or Fiji. So we booked two 100-minute couples massages for four people--almost $500 per person--and were promised something special in the Magnolia Room. Babysitters scheduled. Work phones muted. Husbands organized. Paradise, here we come. **11:00 AM -- Welcome to Paradise** We arrived to smiles and were told we'd be escorted to Magnolia after changing. Eventually, the ladies made it there. Our husbands did not. Apparently, "Couples Massage" at The Ritz begins by separating the couples and seeing whether they can eventually locate each other. Luxury team building. Magnolia was lovely: peaceful, elegant and so corporate-looking we had an urge to check our work email. The birthday refreshments? Gummy bears and sugary pretzels in glass vases. Nothing says "five-star celebration" quite like the CVS snack aisle presented in crystal. About 30 minutes later, our husbands finally found us. Champagne? No. Mimosas? No. Birthday setup? No. But perhaps we misunderstood. At The Ritz, **YOU are the celebration.** Why need champagne when you're breathing Ritz-Carlton air? Please be grateful. **12:00 PM -- FIND YOUR MASSEUSE** Massage time arrived. Our therapists did not. So began another complimentary Ritz amenity: "The Great Masseuse Scavenger Hunt." Eventually we found our way back, only to sit in an almost empty waiting room while therapists walked past us for about ten minutes, apparently looking for us. Perhaps invisibility is another complimentary wellness treatment. Finally: our luxurious 100-minute full-body massage with CBD oil and aromatherapy. **Welcome to Minimalist Urban Chic Massage™.** My request: firm upper body, medium lower body. My left arm? Apparently unnecessary. My right leg? Optional. My back? Touched so delicately I wondered if my therapist thought I was antique porcelain. Warm towels on my feet? No. Under my neck? No. Cold feet? -Customer responsibility. Cold neck? - Poor planning. Why warm the back muscles when we're barely going to massage them anyway? Efficiency. My massage ended before my husband's, leaving me sitting cold, listening to relaxing music and thinking, "I hope our friends are having a better experience." They weren't. My friend's husband came out with visible scratches on his back, which he said came from his therapist's nails. Now THAT is personalized service. Some spas charge extra for exfoliation. Apparently ours was included. **BUT THEN CAME CRAIG.** We didn't complain at the front desk because I didn't want to ruin my husband's birthday. I called management afterward, expecting someone to care. Enter "Craig: Defender of the Ritz" -- a man whose loyalty should be studied by military historians. I explained my massage. Craig defended the Ritz. I explained our friend came out with scratches. Craig informed me their therapists don't have long nails. **CHECKMATE, CUSTOMER.** Perhaps our friend scratched his own back while lying face-down. Perhaps a small woodland creature entered the treatment room. We may never know. I expected, "I'm sorry. This isn't the experience we want our guests to have." Instead, I felt questioned and dismissed. If the Titanic had Craig aboard, I imagine him standing proudly on deck saying: "With all due respect, ma'am, our ships don't hit icebergs." Craig, we salute you. Almost $500 per person taught us about "Minimalist Ritz Luxury" less massage, less warmth, less celebration, less customer service. More gummy bears. Luxury isn't marble, robes or a famous name. It's attention to detail, making guests feel cared for and listening when something goes wrong. And luxury isn't charging almost $500 for a massage because the building says Ritz-Carlton on the outside. If you're looking for paradise without leaving Dallas, keep looking. But if you're looking for an almost $500 massage, a complimentary scavenger hunt, optional body parts, cold feet, mystery scratches, CVS snacks in elegant glassware, and the opportunity to debate your own experience afterward... The Ritz-Carlton Spa Dallas has you covered.

Our therapists were Brittani and Paul, and they were both incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. I especially loved Brittani! She was constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable and having a good experience, which I really appreciated. She was so sweet and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the massage. Our original appointment was at 2 PM, but they called me around 1 PM because the female therapist assigned to my appointment had called out. They offered us a 5 PM appointment with two male therapists, but I wasn't comfortable with that, so they were kind enough to give us the option of coming at 6 PM with a female therapist for me and a male therapist for my husband. I really appreciated them accommodating us and making sure we were comfortable. The massage itself was amazing! We also added the scalp treatment, and we both really enjoyed it. Everything finished right on time, and afterward Brittani and Paul checked in with us to see how we were feeling. After our massages, we enjoyed the different mineral soaks and pools. Since it was our first time, the staff was also really helpful. They offered to give us a little tour and explained the map to us so we knew where everything was. Everyone working around the pools was also very kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. They provide robes as well, which was super convenient, especially while going between the pools and different areas. The views were beautiful, and it was honestly the perfect way to spend my husband's birthday. The locker rooms and showers were also very clean and elegant. The lockers felt secure, and I loved that the showers already had products available, so we didn't have to worry about bringing everything with us. We stayed until around 8:30 PM and had such a relaxing evening. There are so many different soaks to enjoy, and we really loved being able to take our time and explore everything. Yes, it is definitely on the more expensive side, but since access to the soaks is included with the massage, we personally felt it was worth the money, especially for a special occasion. We didn't try the food or drinks since we had plans for later, and we went on Monday, it wasn't that many people around either so it made our day more relaxing. We will definitely be coming back! A special thank you to Brittani and Paul for making our first WorldSprings experience so enjoyable!
