I've gone through the drive-thru a couple of times on the way to work. The friendly staff helps to kick off my morning. I've only had the black and white mocha, which is pretty delicious and has good balance of flavors. I love the little stickers with sayings on them that they put on top of the lid to prevent spills is pretty cute. Definitely more pricey than Starbucks or my usual PDQ cappuccino, but it's worth a trip or two a month. read more

Hot chocolate tends to be a little too sweet for my liking, but the mocha is just perfect. Just wish they could get a bigger place or make the interiors a bit more cozy. Every single visit I've ever made through the drive through - literally every single visit - has been a pleasure. I've had no fewer than four different baristas take my order, and each was as friendly as the last. Places like this legitimately ruin experiences at other coffee shops, restaurants, and retailers. Why can't every single person treat customers this way? Considering the quality of service, I'd really let even the most mediocre coffee pass. Fortunately, that isn't an issue here. Their coffee is as good, if not better, than any other coffee shop I've been to in Madison. On top of all of this, their location and their drive thru make this one of my favorite places in town. This is my favorite coffee shop in Madison! I don't typically get lattes anywhere because I don't like how sweet they are. They have multiple types of non-flavored coffee, and each are so different. I love the Jamaican, or the house with sugar free almond syrup. They have so many syrups! And more sugar free options than most places. I do really enjoy their miel, despite not liking lattes, and this has just a hint of honey to mellow out the acidity of the espresso. Today I ventured out and tried their lavender earl grey tea latte and it was literally heaven. I don't want anything else now! The staff is always super friendly, and if you go through the drive-thru they usually chat with you while you wait. It's cute, and they seem to genuinely want to connect with their customer. They also have fundraisers for different charities every now and then. I happened to stop in one day last summer while they were doing something with the Dane Co Humane Society. The drinks are pretty good but they didn't stand out. If you're looking for a strong coffee or espresso taste, I wouldn't recommend this place. It tends to be on the lighter side. I tried the Jamaican coffee and the Iced black and white mocha. Comparable prices, great cafe environement inside, good wi-fi and good customer service! I agree with others, the staff here is very nice and friendly. I would have given 5 stars if the employee offered me a sample of the coffee when I told her I was having a hard time deciding what blend I wanted. I ended up choosing the Jamaican coffee. read more

My mom and I are ADDICTED to Moka! We absolutely love everything we get there and the staff is truly the best in Madison. Everybody is over-the-top kind, willing to offer suggestions and actually care about you and your life. Between the coffee and the service it is without a doubt my favorite coffee shop in Madison. Moka may be the happiest place on earth. Every employee is above and beyond friendly, energetic and positive. And while it would be worth it just to visit and enjoy the good cheer, the Jamaican coffee is stellar and plenty worthy for the trip. Take a bag of these beans home with you, roasted with maple to give this solid coffee a sweet finish and make your kitchen smell delicious in the process. Moka is my favorite. The fact that they have a drive through makes my day. I always order a Chai tea latte with coconut milk. Love it. Also they sell these bars call moka bars and they are AMAZING!! They are peanut butter, millet, puffy cereal, chocolate chip goodness. They are huge and can last for 2 snack periods or a solid breakfast. Working just a few doors down I was excited to see a drive thru high quality coffee shop coming in! I've been twice so far, and love it! If you pull to the drive thru and there's someone at the window, a very friendly staff member will walk out to your car window and greet you, take your order, and it it started inside! The first time I had the iced Jamaican coffee with a shot added to it (a staff recommendation) and it was fantastic,,,slight hint of maple sweetness! Today I had an iced hazelnut latte, again delish! Drinks have been very consistent have not had a bad drink yet. Mixed on the customer service I could be setting standard to high. I did just buy the Moka house bean coffee for home. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it would be strong and bitter. It was not! The coffee was smooth and full flavor and tasted great. I found my new coffee.
