    Mojito

This place is probably the best bar on the island. Theres sand spread out everywhere, the main bar has swings instead of bar stools, and they specialize in fruity drinks. All of that makes it have a beachy feel which is a nice change of scenery from all of the other bars. Had a few mojitos which felt weak in alcohol content but tasted good. Every-time I've been there's always a live band. Half of the place is covered in shade, and the other half is outside in the sun which is also nice.

Swing by Mojito Bay, sit a spell by the bar in a swing, and enjoy strong drinks with multiple flavor options. How can there really be a mistake with this terrific outside bar in Put-in-Bay?! Plus, there is sand around the bar so you if you fall, it is a gentle tumble. :) Our group enjoyed several different flavors - watch out for the high octane, that one is strong! The flavors of other drinks could be a little more potent, but it sure is fun to sample different drinks. There is the required souvenir store adjacent to the bar. And, we thought the plastic cups for our drinks were worth rinsing to take home as a happy reminder of our time at Mojito Bay. Put-in-Bay is replete with drinking spots, this is one we would visit again.

Some call Put-In-Bay the Key West of The Great Lakes. Mojito Bay really helps round out that feeling. A tropical oasis if you will. Decorated like a beachside tiki bar, Mojito Bay has everything but the water views. Here you can get a fun cocktail or beer, all while wiggling your toes in beach sand. Tables are well spread out. This is great for social distancing. Music also lends to the feeling. It makes for good background music. Bar menu is extensive. A lot of fun and creative mojito flavors. A handful of the flavors include pomegranate, cucumber, apple, watermelon and dragonberry. There are many more flavors. So much of the menu sounds delicious. All are housemade, and include housemade simple syrup.

This was probably my favorite bar in Put In Bay. I loved the swings, the sand and the amazing vibes with the live music. It's a perfect stop on a bar crawl or a destination all its own. I will definitely be back!

Follows Social Distancing: YES I can't speak to this place on the weekend and how it looks then. I went last Tuesday afternoon and there were 2 other couples there that day. It wasn't busy at all so it was very easy to social distance. There are signs all around the outside space promoting social distancing. There is a large menu of mojitos and they make a lot of these. They put mint in a plastic cup. Muddle it once or twice and add all the ingredients. I get that they make them this way because they are making so many of them. It's just a quick way to make a drink and it shows. Whole mint leaves are left in the glass with some mixers. The drinks are fun to drink, but they are just ok. There were 2 large wood swings hanging on opposite sides of the bar. It looks like there used to be more swings, but were probably taken down because of COVID. I enjoyed taking my flip flops off and drinking with my feet in the sand. Until 3 people came into the bar and sat at a table a few tables away. And 1 girl held her friends hair back while she puked in the sand. I guess if you are going to go big at PIB on a Tuesday afternoon you might as well end up puking in the sand at the Mojito Bay. Right?

If your looking for inexperienced bartenders and bouncers that never finished high school, you've found the right place. Located between two superior bars, Mojito Bay boasts having two half-wits staffed to check IDs at all times; you can feel safe knowing that the job of one bouncer is getting done. When you are ready to finish the evening, you can't go wrong hopping to any other bar on the island. In fact, If I had to write their slogan, it would look something like this: Mojito Bay - "Set the bar low with us". Skip this place, or just go for the games then leave. Bad staff = bad experience.

If the weather is nice, this is the place to come at Put-in-Bay!! Always have live music going along with some amazing mojitos to enjoy. The swings at the bar are every girls Instagram dream (yes, I have posted a photo on them). It is nice to feel the sand on your feet when you are there. I enjoy that it is not a traditional bar and the laid back vibe you experience while you are there. The bartender was even nice enough to share the WiFi password with me. Can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy some more mojitos with friends.

This is my favorite bar on the island by far. The mojitos are excellent and very strong (I saw the bartender do an 8 count). The sand, tiki hut, tire swings, live music and cigars make this the most unique bar in Ohio! Highly recommend

This review is certainly skewed because of COVID - however, the drinks were decently priced considering this is a main stop for tourists. The live music was a great touch & the atmosphere felt like you were truly on vacation! I do however wish there was more seating available.

By far favorite bar on the island. I mean what else could you ask for, tropical drinks, swings, sand, AND all in Ohio?! We came here during the day and at night a couple times while staying on the island. They usually have someone playing in the middle of the bar doing an acoustic set during the day, which adds to the fun, tropical atmosphere. Be ready to wait patiently for a swing, or just hover right behind a person until they feel awkward enough to leave. It is a full bar, known for their mojitos. I tried a peach mojito when we went there the first night. It was pretty tasty and I would recommend trying one of their long list of available mojito flavors. Upon the next day with the heat beating down on me I decided to go with a Pina Colada and Creamsicle mixed.. yes mixed, it was amazing!! By far favorite drink on the island! Maybe because is was more like a slushi and I had a swing the entire time :) Prepare to have the best of both worlds including your childhood (swings, sand, rocks to climb on) and adulthood (alcoholic beverages) to combine in this wondrous island getaway bar!

Fun spot to listen to live music and enjoy outside. Didn't enjoy the cider too sweet. Went during the week and it was pretty calm

Just wondering if this is kid friendly ? Thanks !

If it's earlier in the day or early evening, kids will love the sand floors and swing chair! Cigar purchasing available and smoking etc, so just depends on how you feel about that with children etc

My friend tried the Crab Cake Sandwich and loved every bit of it. I ordered the Simple Cheeseburger, and although it was a typical cheeseburger (with added bacon), it was cooked perfectly and was as juicy as a cheeseburger could get! The fries on the side were great too. We left there being very happy with our choice. This is a great spot on the Boardwalk if you ever visit Put-in-Bay!!!

When we walked in we were a bit confused as there were multiple bars and food areas. The bathrooms were on the walkway leading to the restaurant. They were small and pretty filthy. One toilet one broken and filled with waste, and the other had toilet paper all over the stall. We were visiting with our dog and discovered, after walking upstairs, that dogs are not allowed on the upper deck. They are allowed on the lower and back portions of the area. We ended up at the seafood bar on the main level. Being from Maryland we're use to seafood with a lot more flavor and seasoning to it. This was very expensive for bland seafood. We also ordered a frozen lobster bisque to-go. (The plastic containers were flimsy and didn't make it back to the mainland before it cracked down the whole side.) If we go to the island again this will be a spot to skip.
