Great comfort food to soothe the soul. Recommend on a cold or warm day for good comfort food.

Food is excellent! No complaints. Not coming as much now that it is closed on weekends. I wish service was better.

Ask the Community - Moi's Thai Cafe

Is this place ever open anymore :( the last 3 times this past month I've tried to order take out and they aren't open?

Yes I was there 2 weeks ago for dinner. They have been closed various times unexpectedly due to major appliances in the kitchen going out and had to have them repaired or replaced.

We were coming from out of town with low expectations for a random spot we were told was good. The interior is spacious and has nice seating, with an additional room that felt a bit private where the server was able to rearrange tables for our large party, which made things really comfortable. The menu had a good amount of options. I ordered the Beef Pad See Ew and Papaya Salad. I was able to make it not spicy, and they put the Thai chilies on the side as well, which I really appreciated because my spice tolerance is very low. Both these items were delicious, and I would recommend them the most out of everything we ordered. Also, all our dishes came out in less than 5 minutes, which was impressive. My friends got the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Green Curry, and Crab Rangoons. The crab rangoons were good, and apparently the noodles they used for the Pad Thai looked like Vietnamese pho noodles. It was extremely saucy compared to what we're used to as well. The Yellow Curry was coconut-y, but the Green Curry was not. After our experience here, I think the meal exceeded all our expectations. Would definitely recommend!

I ordered takeout and chose some old favorites: chicken pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai soup, Duck Curry,…read morepork larb, fresh spring rolls and deep-fried egg rolls. The deep-fried egg rolls (4) were "good," considering the 1hour+drive home until I could eat them. They should really be eaten immediately. The sweet dipping sauce was tasty, but I wouldn't mind a tiny bit of heat. The rest of the food was a delightful surprise - it was as good as any Thai food I've ever eaten - in fact, better than most, including 20 years of living in the Bay raea and having access to the best. The spring rolls (3) were quite large and well-prepared, with nice shrimp wrapped in the translucent skins. They came with the same sweet sauce and some yummy peanut sauce. The larb was perfectly balanced, brightly flavored, and just spicy enough to be interesting. There were several seared whole chilis in it, which were pretty hot and tasty, for the more adventurous. The pad Thai was very flavorful, just the right amount of sauce on the noodles, which had a nice texture. The scrumptious duck curry was my favorite. It was velvety-smooth, nicely seasoned and spicy enough to be exciting but not off-putting. It had plenty of duck meat, generous chunks of tomato and pineapple. They didn't scrimp on the coconut milk, it was rich and creamy. The Tom Kha Gai soup was really tasty, with lots of bright Kafir lime flavor, mushrooms and chicken. It had a little less coconut milk than some recipes I've had, but the flavor was top-notch. My wife and I were both absolutely delighted by the flavors, quality and quantity. The portions were surprisingly generous, we got more than three meals for two people out of this order. I cannot wait for the next chance to sample more of their menu!

I'm submitting a review today because I always enjoy their food, service, and ambience, always delightful, special, and the experience is both home cooked and international, but also super personable (if you frequent) and very casual and fun! I simply today want to note how amazing the very certain, peaking flavors that are still tingling on my lungs, of the basil, chili chemistry, and Lao curry magjick I just experienced last Friday I cannot get off my mind, and body, today of the 4th day past! I admittedly am having an absolute sense of remorse; I am traveling to the Bay Area this upcoming weekend and will miss this Friday dinner at my FAVORITE Lao/Eastern Family Food Restaurant in the world. (I have been to Laos n Thailand, each their own, and Panoy and their family at the restaurant, deliver one of the most authentic Eastern experiences of community, food, and fun in getting to know a very slender, sliver of the magjick that lives in Gold Country California in 2026.) If you have yet to eat (and frequent, perhaps) Panoy, go directly in return or for your first time, and experience the fresh, rejuvenating invigorating palate Panoy brings to their community and extended family they share their business with. I'll be bringing my extended Bay Area friends and family there, as they visit me, home. Springing your way there w/your beloveds would be a great way to share a sense of specialty, reserve, and you'll be remembered for the great hosting in extending your family's taste, to Panoy's exquisite offerings and dishes, of the best nuance of Lao orient. Do..NOT PASS....; go!!

And the food here is whatever, surely NOT authentic Lao food. Lao Sausage - A tiny sausage with papaya salad kind of sauce with onion and cabbage and STALE peanuts... Papaya salad - the inner part of the papaya cut into thick slices was used. Normally that part is not used in papaya salad. Lemon (not even lime) slices are thrown in. And again the STALE peanuts... Sticky rice - tiny portion of LUKEWARM broken sticky rice... Service was SO SO. The young lady who waited on all tables, only smiled when she handed me the receipt! Authentic Lao food? NOPE!

I have not tried their hot food, to be honest i was to busy looking at all the stuff that i didn't even notice if they had hot food. Their freezer section is super messy and you can't really tell the prices you have to ask which that i don't like cuz i'm anal but as for them having a pretty good selection of stuff they do and the people are super nice but they let you shop in peace. The aisles are fairly tight but its because of the selection...u get one thing and they have a huge amount of choices like soy sauce might have 20 different brands and sizes and the noodles there are tons to choose from. I like it. I seen another review saying they ordered five dishes from the kitchen...i wouldn't think that a place that size could make 5 cooked dishes all at one time...i think its more for like single meals at one time...i think it is just one lady back there and one person doing stock and cashier so to expect fully cooked 5 meals in a reasonable amount of time i would think that is a lot to do especially since most asian meals are pretty different so you have to cook so many different things at one time...i would think it was for a quick stop for like a couple or single person but not a huge family. But all in all its a nice little shop for when you need some asian staples.
