Mohica Towing was assigned to my tow by AAA. Within about 10 minutes of the AAA request, I got a call from the driver who stated he'd be at my place in ~20 minutes. He was on time and courteous. All around nice guy. I followed the tow to the car repair shop (I took another car), and watched him carefully unload my broken SUV. I wanted to give him a tip (rare for me in an instance like this), but I didn't have any cash. So I went into the repair shop and asked the manager to borrow $10 so I could give it to the tow guy. Any business with AAA is usually very dependable but Mohica was outstanding yesterday. My car overheated and needed to be towed to a garage. My driver, John, arrived in only 10 or 15 minutes, loaded my.car onto the truck and helped this almost-90 year old woman way up into the truck along with an orchid I had just bought for a birthday present. He got the truck to the garage and before unloading it helped me get back down to the ground, rescued the orchid and walked us far enough to see my entry into their waiting room. He was kind and friendly and very helpful for a senior widow who had never done this before. You will be very fortunate if AAA sends them to help you. read more

I don't think the person who answers the phone understands Anything regarding customer service. Several times when I called she sounds like such an airhead. After my car was put in their impound lot in Palm Springs. She just doesn't give you the correct answers. She'll tell you I only work at the Cathedral city office. I explain to her three separate times that my car was in the Palm Springs lot. Then she proceeds to tell me that nobody is working at the Palm Springs lot. I ask her how can I get in there to look at my car. They kept my car an extra day. So they could charge my insurance company more money. I believe they're rather Sneaky. . I didn't have a choice in the matter of using them because that's what the city uses. I would never hire them independently. I just go through my regular AAA. read more

Dispicable treatment by tow driver when called by AAA. Left a 73 yr old woman stranded in the middle of the night because the driver didn't like something that was said. He would not listen to the woman who had the problem or the solution to the problem. She was locked out of her car. All he had to do was open her car door. But he disrespectfully ignored her as she was talking to him and when she insisted he pay attention to her he walked off and left her stranded there without any help and no way of getting safely home, as if he was more important than she was. He caused AAA not to take calls from the person who was trying to help her. She had no cell phone. It was a very unsafe circumstance to put the woman through and caused her extreme stress and fear. She is disabled and deaf and needed his help but instead was treated like trash. Never before has anyone from Mohica done such a despicable thing to this woman. If his name was known we would give t. Needless to say, Mohica will never again be called for help by this woman or any of her friends. This driver should be fired for leaving a woman, let alone a disable and deaf elderly woman, stranded at midnight. Finally with much ingenious thought, the woman was able to get help from someone she knew who lived near-by. But having to put a people through that well after midnight is like torture. The couple she went to used their own membership to get through to AAA and to help her, even though the woman has her own AAA membership. The hoops needed to jump through in the middle of the night to get help is uncalled for and Mohica caused multiple problems not for just one or two people but for four people..... Then it wasn't until 2 AM that a good tow truck company arrived. Advanced Towing was sent to open the car door. The man was kind and friendly. Not like Mohica was. In no time the door was opened and the lady was able to drive home. What possessed the Mohica man to be so cruel? We may never know. But it will not dissuade the woman from requesting Advance Towing instead of Mohica in the future. She was treated shamefully. read more

He didn't treat me like I was just another customer or an old lady. He was respectful, helpful and kind, knowing I was anxious. I'm not sure if the employees realize how important their role is when people are stranded, especially a woman by herself. The moment we see that flatbed roll up, our stress is reduced considerably. As an Auto Club member for 44 years never have I ever had such unprofessional service. Houston came out to replace my battery. He wasn't wearing a mask and I asked him why. This didn't set well with him...... He said it wasn't required. He also didn't like that I knew what was wrong with my car. The topper of this extremely poor towing company was when Houston told me I would be charged a $5.00 service charge for using a credit card. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have never dealt with such a greedy unhelpful company!! First of all my brothers car was towed for not having current tags. The tags had been paid but not on the car as of yet (honestly). My brother is unemployed and having financial difficulties and couldn't afford the astronomical fees they were asking to get his car out and now its over $2700!! His 2002 Toyota is not even worth that amount. So the only feasible option was to sign the car over to them and pay them for 10 days of storage and the tow fee. He went to get his stuff from the car and his car was dead and he couldn't get in the trunk. So we asked if we could borrow some jumper cables. My brother is already upset he is loosing his car and then the man in the office said it's a $65 charge to borrow jumper cables!!! We said you're kidding right!? Nope it's true. (They're either extremely greedy or want to make it as hard as possible for people!!) So my brother asked the nice gentlemen in the shop next door and they were happy to come over and jump the car. Then we went to pay the fee for the car with a credit card and were told there is an additional 5% fee to pay with a credit card ( which would have been $35)!! So off to the bank we went to get cash. We didn't want to pay them a dime over what they were asking! The man Jason in the front office is pleasant and I know he just works there but the owners must be greedy uncaring people and the office is a dump with no A/C when it's 115 degrees out!!
