My diesel pusher motorhome broke down at a busy intersection in Indio (left hand lane of 3 during afternoon rush hour. Thinking that I needed an emergency tow, since my transmission would not shift into drive called Plaza Towing for service. Two drivers showed up about an hour later. One of the two, Darnold, quickly diagnosed that the problem was not the transmission at all, but rather a loose battery connection on the chassis battery bank which prevented the alternator from charging the batteries, resulting in battery voltage too low to activate the electronic transmission. Once the battery connection was tightened, transmission function returned and we were back on the road without a tow. Darnold even went above & beyond, calling later that evening to make sure everything was still going well. Darnold is a hero, in my book! read more

I have subscribed to Verizon's roadside assistance for years and never had to use it, until today. The ETA they gave me was 2 hours to tow my vehicle less than one mile - it was 110 this afternoon. They failed me. The good news is, I purchased a AAA membership immediately, and requested service. They sent Plaza Towing and Raymond REPRESENTED! I've had to use towing services before, but never had such an amazing experience. Raymond was talkative while working, pleasant, and made sure that my father-in-law and I were comfortable with water and an Air Conditioned truck. Pleasant service in less than 30 minutes! My daughters and I broke down in our RV on the way to Stagecoach at 11:30pm , our rear brake disintegrated and the Wheel froze up, it would not roll at at all, we were stuck in the middle of the Circle K driveway! We received a call with estimated arrival and our tow truck driver showed up quicker than expected, unfortunately our RV was not cooperating with being towed so another driver was called to help assess the situation. They worked together and went above and beyond in my opinion to help us girls out! Both were very nice and polite and we really appreciate everything they did to help us out! Absolutely terrible customer service! They arrived at my home via a AAA call to fix a flat tire. The technician never asked for ID or my AAA card-total breach of protocol. In the process of changing my tire he lost the lug nut key and I only realized it was missing when I went to the tire store to have the tire replaced. I called Plaza Towing and after being delayed and said I would get call backs (I had to call them several times over the course of 2 days), they aif the technician didn't have the lug nut key and he gave it back to me. Cleary, he didn't. One of several dispatchers i spoke to was helpful and said the technician would call me at 9 AM when he arrived for work- he didn't. I called again and she said I should speak to the supervisor (Trent). She called back to state Trent wouldn't be calling back and they didn't have the lug nut key. Lack of courage and customer service by Trent- just goes to show they are not an honorable company nor do they follow the requirements of AAA. Definitely go someplace else! read more

Here is the Dilemma my son and I endured on April 24, 2021. I appreciate Manuel (the tow driver) from Plaza Towing who displayed integrity, thoughtfulness, and empathy of others; helping others and doing whats right at the expense of self. My son and I were stuck on the side of the road in the sand approx. 40' off the road. We initially got stuck at 5pm. After an hour we were able to unstick our truck, unfortunately, we were within an area of sand all around and trying to drive the truck out of the area; our truck got stock again. We tried to dig it out, nightfall was upon us, so we called AAA. AAA said they were sending someone out to help and they would be there at 830pm. We waited and nobody showed up. At 9pm I called AAA to find out what happened and which company they assigned. They told me "Palms to Pines" was assigned hours ago. I called Palms to Pines to find out the status. The person who answered the phone said he had just arrived and didn't see a ticket for service and would contact AAA to find out. He called me back and old me the area we were at wasn't within their zone for service. He said he told AAA this and they need to request a different company. I contacted AAA and they told me they failed to find a service to come help us and were having trouble finding a company off their list. They told me they were talking to Plaza towing. I requested their number to call them. When I called Plaza towing it was approaching 10pm and you can only imagine how frustrated and aggravated I was. The female on the phone wasn't very accommodating nor was she understanding of our plight. She made more emphasis on the fact that their service wasn't covered by AAA and I would have to give her my credit card number and approve a minimum amount of $300 before they send anybody to help us. As I was venting my annoyance to her about a conversation regarding money instead of the well-being of a Dad and his son stuck in the middle of the desert, I heard a voice in the background ask, "Where are they...... I'll go". Upon the arrival of the tow operator, I asked him his name. He told me Manuel. I told him how much I appreciated him coming out to help us. He could sense how frustrated I was and he told me he was in the office and heard the conversation I had with he woman on the phone. He told me he had just finished his work day and was going home, but heard how distressed I sounded and decided to come help in lieu of going home. Manuel is a unique individual that our society has lost over the past generations. People today seem to be more concerned about selfishness than selflessness. He came to help a complete stranger when it would have been much more convenient for him to go home to his family. Manuel was there after 11pm, devoted to doing his job and committed to his core values; "Help thy neighbor". He was professional, understanding, and charismatic. Not only did he know his job and was well trained, he was companionate; a trait that ins't taught bur rather instilled in someones core values. Soooo on the way back from our crazy outing at the Integratron and Big Rock I got a punctured tire from the little off roading that I didn to see the Rock. Unbelievably great service! My 35 foot motorhome broke down while towing a 20 foot trailer. My roadside assistance company hired Plaza to get me towed. The driver called multiple times just to let me know where he was and when I could expect him. A semi with a low boy and a regular tow truck showed up. Both drivers were incredibly nice. We got my motorhome on the low boy and trailer on the tow truck. They took me down to a truck stop and spent some time trying to find the best place to put me in consideration of my security and that of my trailer. They backed the trailer in then dropped the motorhome. Then they spent extra time to help me get the trailer hooked back up to the motorhome. Both of these guy went beyond what I would have ever expected and I am incredibly grateful for how helpful and nice they were. read more

I had a tire blow out on I-10 on yesterday (Labor Day) and I have new car that does not have spare tire but a repair kit. My husband found me on the side of the highway and AAA tried to use the repair kit but the hole was too big.
