Jake was awesome! We have a 20 y/o Lexus SUV, one day the key would not turn. My husband tried looking on the internet for DIY fixes with no luck. Ray is an absolute gentleman and gem! He returned my calls, showed up on time, and took care of every single problem for my security. I called him out to rekey all locks and install a keypad lock on the front door so that I can rent my condo out without having to rekey each time, just change the guest code. The lock works perfectly, lines up exactly right. I asked him to bring wood dowels for my slider doors, and he cut them perfectly. The slider locks to the patios were really difficult to latch. He took the time to take them apart and file down the problem and now all my patio slider glass door locks work perfectly!!!! He made spare keys for all the access doors that I needed. He seriously went above and beyond. I have a regular locksmith in Los Angeles that I have used for years that is excellent...but not like Ray. When you find a guy that goes the extra mile, you hang on to him!!!! Ray said that when my tenants leave, he can come out and change the front door combo lock same day for the simple service fee. That saves me a 300 mile drive and keeps the place protected, real time. Very reasonable price. Fixing the door latches to the sliders saved me hundreds of dollars. Better late than never. I had purchased a 5th wheel trailer in Puerto Penasco, Mexico, in February 2019. I live in Las Vegas and I was on my way to use it for the first time since I'd been down there several times to do some work on it. I was in Fort Mohave in February 2020, to pick up my friend who helped me renovate Ruby's Rusty Bucket so we could go back down to Mexico for a girl's week. I had been in Puerto Penasco in October working on the finishing touches on the trailer and decided to get the locks changed. Since I was in a hurry, I put the old and the new keys in a baggy thinking I would remember which were the new keys. Well, when it came time to go back to Mexico in February 2020, I had a baggy full of keys and didn't know which were which. I wanted to have a duplicate set of keys so because I'd mixed them up, I had to get all four of them done. I'd gone to Ace Hardware in Las Vegas. They were not able to make any of the keys. I thought to myself, "no problem, I'll go to Ace Hardware in Fort Mohave I'll be there anyway." They were able to match two of the keys. Now I was getting nervous because I wanted to make sure I had a duplicate set of keys in case I lost the first set. The key guy at Ace told me to go to Mohave Lock & Safe, saying, "If they can't duplicate a key, nobody can." So, I drove just the few blocks to Mohave Lock & Safe. I was already late picking up my friend so I was kind of flustered by the time I walked in the place and couldn't believe the number of keys. Wall to wall keys, thousands of them. There were two men in the store Ray and someone else, I assume Ray was the owner. I told them I needed keys duplicated. I only needed two. One for the trailer door and the other for the storage compartments. It turned out not to be an easy task. I must have spent a good half hour in there. I was patient because I needed the keys and it helped that these men were relentless in trying to find matches. They looked in their computer, in big binders and every column and row of keys on the wall. They were able to find and make one of the keys within a few minutes, but the other one was a challenge. They kept asking questions as to what the keys were used for and couldn't figure out why they couldn't find a match for an RV door key. Then it occurred to us that the old 2006 5th wheel was made in the US, but the new key was probably made in Mexico. The Mexican locksmith probably had to improvise. So that's what these guys did. They found a key that was as close as possible. They said they couldn't guarantee it would fit, but that I can bring it back. I didn't have to bring the key back because it worked! I am so grateful to these two men who patiently and methodically figured out how to make my key. They never once appeared as though they were irritated with my conundrum. I would highly recommend Mohave Lock & Safe to anyone anywhere. They'll figure out a way to make it happen. read more
