Bought a valve yesterday from this location and was told by Bob that it would completely shut the water off on my shower head. Got home and installed it and guess what? It didn't work... Took a closer look at the micro label on the valve "Made in Taiwan". The store should be called Cheap Chinese Crap. Thanks Bob. Appreciate all your help now I got to drive 2 hours back to your location to get my $18 back. I'll never visit another Ace hardware in my life so I don't have to deal with another. Bob!!! I'm late in posting this but on a weekend in February of this year, I was doing a painting project that required matching a "brown" color. I had bought some samples and had the color pinned down. I went to buy a gallon. The associate that had done the actual match, Alfredo, was gone for the day so someone else mDe up the gallon. He seemed to be new to the job and really struggled and even though I was suspicious, I took the gallon so I could get started early the next day. As I suspected, the color was off. I returned to the store and luckily Alfredo was there. He worked hard to rectify the issue and the color came out perfect. Alfredo is the "MAN" in the Fort Mohave paint department. Without his skilled assistance, the project would have taken me a lot longer and would not have been to satisfaction. This guy deserves recognition! read more

OMG! I never thought that purchasing 1 single item from a freaking hardware store would become such a freaking ordeal. Ist, I call this Ace Hardware to confirm their location, and the guy tells me they are in the next town over - when I knew that wasn't the case. He was speaking English quite well, but his information was from the planet Romula. But I decide to go there anyway. Get there and I ask the front desk people where I could find air duct insulation. They send me to the "Contractor's" room, which was busy. I needed just one $18.00 bag of duct insulation. They then tell me I need to drive around back and pick it up there. Except, come to find out that no employees in the back could tell me where to find it. Most of the 6 employees back there were on a smoke break. The one employee that stopped to help me was befuddled when I asked for air duct insulation - one bag. She said she never heard of it. I then informed her that it's on their Web site, for about $18.00. She repeated that she never heard of it - and I repeated that's it's on their Web site. This further confused her, and the entire process rapidly went down-hill from there. I calmy explained to her that it should not be this difficult and time consuming to purchase 1 single item from a hardware store. She then got all huffy and snarky. She then asked me who sent me to the back to find the item. I told her it was the woman she has just been talking to. With that, her response was "well she's on break." (As if her being on break somehow prevented her from providing me with accurate information.) Unbelievable! Was a scene right out of the Gaslighting 101. : / I left the store reminding myself of the jackass who I initially spoke with on the phone and then the experience I just had at the store, and I'm wondering why I even bothered to drive in traffic to give them my business, when I could easily get what I wanted from Amazon or one of the home improvement stores just up the road. Ace is the place for wasted time and energy. read more

During the Laughlin Regatta, I arrived at the launch point and discovered my raft had a hole in it. Ace had a booth there and had patch kits. My dumb ass left my wallet behind and had no money at all. I spoke to the owner and explained my situation and told him I would pay for it later. He gave it to me trusted me to pay for it at a later time. Thank you so much. The patch kit held and made for a successful float. I came by to Pay but due to power outage you were closed. I will be mailing you payment but thank you again so much! read more

Bought a new home in Bullhead City close to the Anderson Field House. Went to Ace to get some things needed and MY GOD WHAT A DIFFERENCE A STATE MAKES. Coming from California the L.A. area. Prices are about the same a little more then the big box like HomeDepot but real service and people not hiding until their shift is over. My kind of place everyone seems to enjoy their jobs and like helping folks. A couple of bucks is worth having someone who listens and really knows what they are talking about. My experience so far with contractors in AZ is at best disappointing. My house needs floors replaced shower re-tiled wirring is either non-op or kitchen light need to be on or the porch light wont work and lots more. The ROC is goimg to stop his work before he ruins a lot of other lives. I am retired now but years working internationally in construction (Universal Studios Japan, FLA and CA) I know whats up. I will be using the ACE on HWY 95 a lot, my new best friends! Living the good life in AZ, thanks ACE for being there for me. read more

I was on the hunt for a fan so the lady at the local grocery store suggested I stop at Ace. I was pleasantly surprised that they not only had fans, but also two other items I needed (steering fluid and large garbage bags). Lola was super helpful and friendly and got me in and out quick. Good to know that I can stop here for hardware needs instead of driving all the way down the 95 to the larger hardware stores. read more

Broken water pipe on a Sunday. Uggghhh right. So we got to the store right at closing time. Just bad timing all around. Cars were still in the parking lot and a store clerk was sticking her hand thru the shut doors shooing is away as we approached. I explained it was a emergency as all we needed was 3 pvc parts. I knew exactly where they were located in the store as I am (was) a long time customer. She turned to a manager I assume and asked and the person said no and she said sorry we're closed. It's not like the were walking out and locking the doors and all the lights were off. Customer service is pretty crappy around the area and Mohave county in general. I won't be spending my money there anymore. And I will be cancelling a large lumber order Monday morning first thing as well. read more
