But Diane wanted it, so we moved ahead to select ceramic tile and have the linoleum floor in the kitchen and utility room removed and replaced by tile. It was a dizzying experience. We soon learned that there are hundreds if not thousands of types and designs of tile. And, in the big box stores different designs just sit in rows on shelves with few prices marked and no sales associate nearby to offer any reasonable semblance of personal service. So we opted to go with a small business that specializes in tile and other flooring. Rainbow Tile & Carpet fit our needs perfectly. Its staff patiently guided us through different types of tile, and even let us take a few samples home to see what looked best with our appliances, cabinetry, kitchen table, and chairs. Once we selected tile and grout, our kitchen and utility room were measured during an on-site visit, and a firm quote was given on the spot to remove the old flooring and install a tile floor. The price seemed fair, and although it might have been a little bit higher than what we would have been quoted at a big box store, we received excellent customer service and knew we had explored various tile options before making an informed choice. Then the work was completed, and although it was clearly professionally done, three tiles of the whole lot were rather plain and just lacked pizzazz compared to the others. I mentioned this to Rick, the proprietor, and he agreed to replace the three tiles with three extra tiles that came from the same batch, at our convenience and at no additional charge. Tile layer Justin and his helper performed this additional work in about two hours time, and now Diane and I have a tile floor on which every tile looks sharp, and with which we are completely pleased. We appreciated the friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and highly competent service we received from the entire staff at Rainbow Tile & Carpet, and highly recommend this company to others needing or wanting a new tile floor--just like this business was recommended to us by friends.

I sent two letters with no reply, and left messages that were ignored. I decided to contact Rich Osuna, who Brent claims taught him everything about cabinet making, to verify Brent actually was trained by him, and to ask if he bought his business when he retired. According to Mr. Osuna, Brent worked for him part time for a year or two, and was someone who did the running around. Whatever Brent was told to do, that's what he did. Mr. Osuna said he was more of a gopher they used when the shop got busy. He was never trained to be a cabinet maker, and was let go because of tardiness. Mr Osuna also stated that he hasn't retired, but has slowed down, and he never sold the business to Brent. Surprise! Surprise!
