However, the front office staff is by far the worst I have encountered; unfortunately for the doctor himself, the front office staff (specifically Alyssa) is working against him. The first appointment my Mother had was at 0730, she arrived at 0715 with three other patients, the two ladies in the front stayed in the back of the office, ignoring them. Over 30 minutes later, they came out and were rude and aggressive with the elderly patients, stating, "There is no way they had 0730 because they don't open until 0800." They further explained that the email they received from the doctor was inaccurate and, "they don't know what he sends that." Followed by an eye roll. I came back with my mother again today for a, you guessed it, 0730 appointment! Alyssa barely acknowledged we were there. No good morning, nothing, only stated, "sign in." During this time, my elderly mother asked, "Can I have a pen?" Without looking up, extremely rude and very disrespectful, with a sigh of annoyance, she stated, "Right there." There were pens with flowers attached to them (typical at a doctor's office); however, my mother didn't recognize them as pens. Instead of being helpful or pointing, she acted like my mother was an idiot and would not engage, so my poor Mom was just standing there, unaware of what to do next. Luckily, I was within earshot and able to step in and help her. Sitting here with my Mom, Alyssa answered a call on speaker phone, very much in earshot of everyone, which was absolutely inappropriate for parent care! I really must make it clear; I cannot say enough about Doctor Foad Elahi and how great he is with patient care, going above and beyond for his patients. However, Alyssa is horrific and does not need to be working with the public, especially the elderly. She will single-handedly destroy his business.

This doctor's office [Dr. Farr's office] is extremely unprofessional and deeply concerning. The…read moreStockton (formerly Manteca) location appears to be staffed by only one person, making timely patient care virtually impossible. Over the course of four consecutive days, I placed 18 calls per day, each time receiving a recording stating they were "helping other patients" and would return my call within 24 hours. No one ever called back. The only way I was able to reach the office was by calling from a different phone number, at which point I was told the doctor is based in San Jose and only comes to the Central Valley two days per month. This critical detail was never disclosed upfront. As a result of this lack of transparency and responsiveness, my 91‑year‑old uncle, who broke his hip and underwent hip surgery, has now been in pain for three weeks without proper follow‑up care. This is unacceptable and potentially dangerous for an elderly post‑surgical patient. The receptionist should have clearly communicated the doctor's extremely limited availability from the start. Operating a practice this way--especially while treating vulnerable, elderly patients--is irresponsible. Note: with the doctor only being in office two days a month, it's obvious they are not "helping other patience" as the recording states. This was a truly unacceptable office experience.

I was told I had fluid in my knee, and needed my orthopedic surgeon to check it out. I got an appointment today 11/5 to make sure it's not something serious. I was called by the front desk woman on Thursday, telling me they needed to update my insurance and they would check it and get back to me. Friday, I had the same thing happen and still no one checked my insurance which I was not aware of. I got the day off, drove from Sacramento to come all the way to Manteca for Dr.Pettigrew to look at the fluid in my knee and tell me how we proceed. I was told at the desk that they don't can't take my insurance since I'm not on HPSJ anymore I'm just straight Medi-Cal. After talking to the nurse Allie, I am appalled at how she talks and cares for people in her office. Coming from a nursing student, and someone who wants to make a difference and help people in their time of need I can tell she doesn't care about anyone but herself, and her paycheck. I asked for Dr.Pettigrew to come out and speak to me (which he didn't, and that's rude in itself) she came out with a full blown attitude and told me they won't take my insurance (obviously). I told her I'm a single mom, and needed the money from working today if they weren't going to take me they should have called and expressed that after they called me twice already. I asked her if she knew anyone who did take straight medi-cal and she said "that's not my job". She should NOT be working in a place for patients if she's not going to be THERE for the patients. I told her she had a bad review coming and she walked away when I needed to still ask for my records. She yelled "I'll send them" as she walked away without even confirming if she had my email. Women like her should be plucked out of the medical industry because people like her only care about the bottom line. I am also upset at Dr. Pettigrew. If a patient wants to speak to the doctor, he should be able to give me a few minutes to talk to me instead of sending a nurse who couldn't care less. I would give 0 stars if I could. WATCH OUT FOR NURSE ALLIE

I was told that there are great doctors in San Francisco (mind you, we are from the bayarea and will travel to see a good doctor). I've heard great things about Dr. Kashani and thought I would give it a try. BEST DECISION EVER!! The staff was absolutely amazing. They were able to check my benefits (to make sure the doctor took my insurance) within an hour (this usually takes an office a day or 2, depending how busy they are). He told me how skinny I am and how I lost a ton of weight. He then criticized me by saying my face is thin. I have health problems and I feel it was rude of him to even make such comments to me. I am very disappointed at the unprofessionalism and pompous, arrogant attitude that he had. He told me that he would not be helping me because I had my child with me. He then stated that their prices went up as if I had no money on me. Then he tried to talk me into getting my cheeks filled and that is not what I wanted. I told him no, and he kept trying to talk me into it. I will NEVER be going back. He should be ashamed of himself for making comments towards his patients (especially sick patients)!

Unfortunately Dr. Scott and his team were rude, condescending, and dismissive throughout the entire process. I received immense pushback on even the simplest questions about the process and diagnosis, his office staff were downright hostile throughout the scheduling process, and they failed to send orders in a timely fashion. Dr. Scott clearly knew that this was wrong, because he half apologized during one of my followup appointments (however he took great joy in derailing his "apology" by waving my file around and telling me that he was right all along). I have no clue what has changed in that office, but his priority was very clearly to make me feel afraid for my health rather than making a rational plan for treatment. I will absolutely never set foot in this office again, which is a shame considering that he has been my doctor for more than half my life. I am so disappointed in what his office has become.
