I highly recommend this urgent care. I have Kaiser and as for Kaiser ..let's face it, they suck. They have a hard time accommodating same day appointments or even week out appointments. No one wants to suffer that long feeling sick. So I decided to give this place a try. It's in a seedy part of downtown so I was nervous but truly the quality of the medical staff here is top tier! I was in and out no issues and they took my insurance. If ever I need a quick doc appointment this is the place I'll go. The RN was very knowledgeable--more so than most I've seen and I've seen and dealt with quite a few! She was a wealth of knowledge! Overall, great place from my families experience. read more

I've been here 3 times for ear infections, and each time I had a positive experience. The staff were friendly. Each time I went when they first opened and was seen right away. I was in and out within 30 minutes. I have blue shield insurance and paid a $30 copay. Masks are mandated so be sure to bring your own mask or you will have to pay $1 to buy one. A physician called me about a week after each appointment to follow up and see how I was doing, which I thought was great. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

I took my daughter here twice since her primary dr never has any appointments available and they don't allow the other doctors to see each other's patients. (Such a pain) The staff was very friendly and nice. Both times my daughter was treated and prescribed meds right away. ( ear ache and pink eye) So easy and convenient, I almost rather take her here than her primary. I've never had issues with overpaying or insurance problems like others have mentioned. We went there me and my son, with severe cough and fever. The lady insisted to do the COVID test again (I told her that I did it at home and it was negative), and wonder if we can see the doctor and run the test inside instead of going around the building, it wasn't easy even to find a parking lot in that area. Of course she refused, we asked as we enter the clinic to wear a mask, she said that we have to pay $1 for each mask!! Wow, really??!!. Anyway, she said we can't be seen unless we do the COVID test first, and we can have only an over the phone visit only. We left very disappointed...we t to urgent care, and it was worse experience! I went yesterday because I've been super sick and couldn't get into my regular dr the staff was friendly and the office wasn't super packed. The dr ‍ was very professional and concerned about my well being I was treated and given medication that are helping me get better. I'm so glad I went in. Awful. Rude. Took baby to get checked out due to a high fever that would not quit. Once we said we did not want the nasal swab test they refused to look at her and rushed us out the door. When we said we wanted her ears checked and other diagnosis' done, they said they can't see us because the "file was closed". Asked them to reopen-they never looked at her, and we needed help for our baby. They said they couldn't help us. Absolutely disgusting. Pushing the nasal swab hard and once refused, they didn't want to help us. Probably because they couldn't charge our insurance for unnecessary tests. Follow the $$$$ read more

PSA: I attempted to take my child to Manteca Urgent care this morning because he has been ill this weekend and he began vomiting this morning (4 times in 2 hours, unable to keep liquids down). They checked our insurance online and informed me that I had to pay $210 which is the remainder of my sons individual deductible. We have already met our family deductible for the year (months ago) and they insisted that I had to pay the remainder of his anyways. I requested that they contact my insurance company to verify and they refused. They would not allow him to be seen until I paid the $210. My son had managed to not throw up for about an hour by then and was keeping down sips of fluids. I am a nurse of 18 years so I am confident in being able to monitor him properly and I decided to leave and follow up with my insurance company, while continuing to watch him and seek care again if needed. When I called my insurance company again they were ADAMANT that I should not have been required to pay the remainder of the individual deductible since the family deductible has been met. They even emailed me a letter stating that. I am so upset that I wasn't able to have my son seen because they insisted on attempting to charge me for money that was not owed! I called and spoke to the practice manager who attempted to make excuses about being "too busy to call insurance companies" and "the insurance website might not be updated" blah blah blah. When I continued to explain everything she did apologize and promise to properly educate the employee who clearly does not know how to verify insurance (I mean, it's not like it's uncommon for there to be individual AND family deductibles!). So beware. I will definitely not attempt to seek care there again. read more

Honestly this urgent care center is pretty good when it comes to covid testing. They are safe and fast which is a plus if you have insurance. If you don't have insurance you probably want to buy the home kits.. but if you do have insurance I highly do recommend. They are better than most sites and results are within 10-15 minutes. I tried to take my daughter in to be looked at for a sore throat and a fever. Was told that due to symptoms that required a Covid test. Had me pull around back while they called my insurance. 10 min later they called me and said the co pay will be $50 and $40 for the Covid test. Only problem is my insurance only requires a $25 co pay for urgent care visit and covers 100% of any Covid tests. I'd avoid using this facility unless you don't mind the inflated prices. read more

I needed a Covid test ASAP to be able to go back to work and decided to give this place a try. I didn't need an appointment, and I got my results in 10-15 minutes after. The doctor also saw me for a sinus infection and prescribed me antibiotics the same day. She was kind, and thorough and I would definitely go here again! I had lost my wallet and asked them if I could use Apple Pay. I was turned away because, although their merchant provider allows Apple Pay they won't allow transactions more than $50. I asked them for the reason for this and couldn't get any answer. "It's just a rule." So my care was less important than some arbitrary rule that has no basis in reality. First of all the office is 90* they charge you a $1 for a mask and they made me take my sick baby outside across a busy street just to drive around back for a COVID test after I was already in the building so if I had COVID we already spread our germs. Then as my baby with 102 fever is crying so hard and it's 85.* outside I had to knock on the back door n wait for 20 min before they came out because my payment didn't go though I fixed my card n they went inside no manners at all to even acknowledge my crying baby and let me know they will be out soon to start testing so she can be seen. In December, my husband and I decided to test the cruising waters again, but in order to board the ship, in addition to our proof of vaccination, we needed to provide a negative covid test taken within 48 hours of our departure. Prior covid tests for us have provided the results within 72 hours, but since timing was important to be able to cruise, we would need to take a rapid test to be sure we would have the results back in time. I contacted Kaiser, our insurance carrier, and was told that while they do not offer the rapid test results in their offices, they will pay to have it done at another facility. I found a clinic here in Manteca that advertised it accepted Kaiser insurance, so I called and made appointments for my husband and myself for 5pm on Dec. 8th (our ship was scheduled to sail at 4pm on the 10th). When we arrived at Manteca Urgent Care on Yosemite Ave., we walked in to a waiting area with two women at a counter. We were told that even though they do accept the Kaiser payments, we needed to give them $100 each that day, and that would be reimbursed after they got the payment from Kaiser. Seemed odd, but what were we to do? So we filled out the paperwork, paid the $200, and were told to drive around to the back of the building and someone would meet us there to give us the test. That happened, and we waited for about 15-20 minutes and someone came out and gave us our negative results! YAY, right?? Well, first of all, our official document looks like a Word document that I could have made up on my computer! There is no QR or bar code, nothing computer generated. Our names, birth dates and the date are all hand written on the forms, and the test result is just circled!! I noticed right away that there was no time noted, and according to the cruise requirement, it seemed like it was pretty important to know that the test was taken within the 2-day requirement. So we went back in to the girls in the front, and they just hand-wrote 5:00pm. I was worried if the cruise ship would even accept that (surprised, but they did!!) So after a month and not receiving our $200 back, I called Kaiser to see if our claim had been paid. I was told that mine was paid on 12/18, in a group payment of over $4,000, and my husband's was paid on 12/22, also in a group payment of over $30,000, but neither check had been cashed yet. I waited another couple of weeks, called Kaiser again on Jan 28, and was told the checks still had not cleared (WHO doesn't deposit $34,000 as soon as you get the checks??!!). I was curious as to what Manteca Urgent Care had billed for our tests. Here's the part that REALLY ANGERS me - the total billing for EACH of us was $620, broken out like this: $350 Office Visit, $150 Covid Probe, $70 Telehealth Facility Fee, $50 Brief Communication TBS; 5-10 min med discussion. !!!!!!!! So... $350 OFFICE VISIT? We filled out paperwork with two ladies at the front desk! $150 Covid Probe? - everyone is getting free home rapid covid tests now! $70 Telehealth Facility Fee? - have no idea what this is! $50 Brief Communication TBS 5-10 min med discussion? No one discussed any medications with us!! Well, I called Manteca Urgent Care the morning of Friday January 28th and got the number for their billing dept. I called and got a VM that they were busy or on the phone, leave a message and they will call back "in the order received". Guess they were busy all day, because I never got a call back. I called again on Monday 31st, got the same message, they never called back that day either. So Tuesday I was getting ready to call my credit card company to dispute the $200 billing, and surprisingly, I did get a call back before I made that call. I tried to be as polite as I could, because I know the person I spoke with was not the person who made the rules, but I had to ask about the outrageous charges. She told me that the Office Visit charge is a contracted amount with Kaiser. I told her we never saw a doctor, but she told me there was one on site to verify the test results. I know you can't usually read doctors' signatures, but I think normally you could detect "M.D." after their signature, and there certainly was not one on our documents. This just infuriates me - it's no wonder medical costs/insurance are so expensive!! Kaiser "only" paid $566 of the $620 on my husband's claim (they disallowed the $50 Brief Communication charge and only paid $146 of the $150 covid fee), and only paid $260.08 on mine (something to do with me being on Medicare I think). And our credit card did get the $200 fee refunded, 6 weeks later!) But every time I think about this, I get so angry all over again.....I'm going to write Kaiser and suggest they start offering the rapid tests at their sites - if they pay out $826-$1240 for two people, imagine the tens of thousands or more they could be saving!!! I would give it zero stars if that was an option. Went in for abdominal pain x 4 days. Zero labs ordered, as a female of childbearing age asking about the possibility of pregnancy is appropriate, particularly given the complaint, never asked (or anything comparable). Physical assessment was minimal and sloppy - I have EMS colleagues who would be more capable than the dr I saw. No follow-up recommendations, only orders for an x-ray and a recommendation for BRAT diet which given 4 days of pain and minimal vomiting doesn't address the issue. Zero assistance when I called back to check on results of x-ray. I should have just either gone to the ER or stayed home - either would have been equally or more productive. Sloppy medicine such as provided to me is malpractice waiting to happen. read more

I came here because my regular doctor wasn't available. I went in on a Monday over symptoms I had the whole weekend. I had shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, migraine, extreme body ache, cough, and fever. It wasn't covid they checked.They got me in and gave me a prescription. I'm so grateful because I'm feeling better. I was so close to going to the hospital but these doctors know what they're doing. I had a rapid covid test here. They insist on prepayment of $200. I had to request a receipt to get reimbursed by my insurance even though Manteca takes it. My insurance is reimbursing them as in-network ($1.40), and Manteca is refusing to reimburse me the remainder. When I spoke to John Woo in billing ( after 4 months, and several calls to the regular biller) he was very rude. He also told me that some third party was involved, Bellisimo, and gave me a phone number for them, which no-one answers and there is no ability to leave messages. I have no way to contact this supposed Bellisimo. The phone number belongs to a Dr. VIncent Le. So they are running some sort of shell game here. read more

Potential positive COVID cases waiting in line less then 6' apart and from the front door of several businesses they wait in front of it is unacceptable and should be investigated by the health department. Went in for them to remove a splinter. Paid $150 upfront. The "doctor" said he could feel the splinter. But said I needed to go somewhere else and get an X-ray. Wouldn't waste your time with urgent care, they charge you to be seen and told to go somewhere else. How can a "doctor" go to school for 12 years and not be able to take a splinter out? What a joke. Came here based on reviews. Heard it was quick which was my main concern. Nobody likes to wait for 2 hours to be seen when they're hurting or Ill. I was immediately greeted when I walked through the door by the RN. Front desk staff was very nice and efficient. Clean quiet place. In and out within 10 minutes. This is an update from the FIRST time I went there. I was given some antibiotics for the first time and it went away for about a week or 2 and then my cough came back. I'm a little frustrated at this point because they know I have no insurance so I had to pay $125 the first time and the second time they only discounted it to $80 or so dollars. The nurse said that "if the new antibiotics don't work then I would be surprised". Well be surprised because I have it again. When I got my fill at target the pharmacist even thought it was messed up that they knew I didn't have insurance and they gave me a prescription that would cost me up the butt and charged me to still come back. I refuse to come back for a 3rd time and give them any more of my money. Get it right the first time. read more
