I have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia along with a host of other issues (migraines, IBS-d, IC). The last thing I need is pain from structural alignment issues. Dr. Hoogendoorn's so intuitive. He knows exactly where I am "lit up" (nerves are flared) when I just point to an area (usually MULTIPLE areas). The doctor adjusts me and it frees trapped nerves for me. I also get "burners" when I turn my head. When I have regular adjustments with Dr. Hoogendoorn, the "burners" almost disappear. I called on a Friday morning in need of an appointment the same day. I had never been here and they just happened to be the only chiropractic office that answered the phone. They got me in and Dr. Hoogendoorn was great. He was able to help relieve the pain of a pinched nerve. I went back for two follow up appointments and they were great as well. I have been going to Dr. Hoogendoorn since 2001 off and on. Last I went was maybe in 2003. I recently got into a car accident which totalled my car that forced me to break my seven year streak of not seeing a chiropractor. It was as tho I had been going since I became a patient in 2001. Dr H. is so friendly and makes sure you're feeling very comfortable before during and after any procedure. Went to Dr. Mark Hoogendoorn a month ago because I was having extreme back pain. I have had a bad back for the last 12 years, same area of my lower back. Whenever I would throw my back out it would always take a minimum of 2 days to somewhat recover. The pain was terrible, I would become a worm and not be able to walk or even stand up for at least 12 hours, I would become bed ridden. After my last back attack I decided it was time to see a pro. I am very thankful for doing so. After my first visit I was able to walk fine and bend over and touch my toes without bending my kneesbwhich I haven't done for over 12 years. I was in a 4 car accident in October, a girl was texting & driving, rear ended the car behind me, pushing him into me which pushed me into the car in front of me. My body was jolted forward hitting my head on the steering wheel then with the front impact threw me backward. At first my lower back gave me the most amount of pain since the car behind me hit my tow hitch I felt the full impact of the accident. I have been to chiropractors who were a joke, which is why I was particularly skeptical of going in 5 months pregnant to fix a pinched sciatic nerve. Desperation won out. That was nearly 20 years ago. I limped in with help from my mother whom the recomendation came from. I walked out feeling no pain at all. I have chronic back issues from horse riding tumbles and car accidents. I ocassionally need a tune up. I moved 40 minutes away and still make the trip for Dr Hoogendorn to adjust me. He uses a lot of trigger point massage before adjusting me and it makes all the difference. I see him every couple of months rather than a couple of times a week. He is fair and honest and his prices are very reasonable--cheap considering the level of care and effectiveness. read more

I am very glad i was introduced to Dr Hoogendoorn, I have been suffering low back and pelvic pain for years. I had been pretty skeptical of chiropractic treatment and had even been really disappointed with previous docs. That all changed when I first came here. Staff is helpful, but the Dr took his time and really listened to me and when he was done he didn't recommend the usual "come back twice a week for the rest of your life", after 2-3 visits he said " Alright, well come back if you need it, otherwise it was great to meet you." I have been returning 1-2 times per year for flare ups with the same great care being given each time. read more

Dr. Hoogendoorn is the first person I see should I suffer from any kind of muscle pain. I own my own business and I was injured on the job. He saw me; intervened and made a phone call on my behalf. I was X-rayed, returned to his office and treated within two hours! He and his staff are attentive and demonstrate very real concern. His understanding of muscles, tendons, and bones and how they interact is nothing less than tremendous. I have been seeing Dr. H since 2006 and I call him the miracle worker. Had other doctors that wanted to do surgery on my back and Dr. H worked wonders and I am a completely different person than I want back then without surgery. I have never felt rushed in his presences as well as him taking time to explain anything that I have ask of him. He has helped my back tremendously, I had 10 out 10 pain and I would say my pain is now at all time low of a 2. He is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. Mark has got me more range of motion in my neck then I've had in a long time. My back hasn't felt this good in a long time. I never feel pressured about any or his treatment options. Very nice atmosphere in the office. Mark also is starting to treat my TMJ and seams very knowledgeable about joint pain.
