Very good meeting Dr Khan, very pleasant demeanor and explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand.

I feel compelled to write a review based on some others here. I have had a few appointments here, several tests and consultations. This office is well run and seems very organized. My experience with the staff and caregivers was too notch. wait time for tests and appointments was better than average. read more

i want to start this review off with positives the heart monitor girl in the office by the front door is absolutely the sweetest! she's been nothing but kind and helpful! and doctor muhammad kahn is extremely smart and makes every decision with lots of research and seeks wisdom and gets second opinions and actually gave helpful advice and took my concerns seriously!! doctor asif or asid kahn however told me thing i could have googled took months soon months to get back to me even while calling the office. he ordered no tests to be done besides a monitor while yes that's is important that is not the only thing wrong with my heart. he referred me to the wrong specialist at ucsf. he referred me to an arrhythmia specialist when i clearly do not have an arrhythmia. with in five minutes of looking at my chart dr muhammad kahn was able to tell me exactly what was wrong, and have been helping refer me and has been on top of everything! read more

Be weary of the positive reviews here for Dr. Kahn because they delete most of the bad reviews to appear like a good office to go to. I'm reposting this since they deleted this one and believe me I have all the facts to support this. *For Content: My mom went in for a stint, and had blockage in 3 arteries (80% in 2 with one fully blocked, so it was serious and needed urgent attention) so they had to abort the procedure. 1: Dr. Kahn - He never followed up after the procedure with ANY details. He only referred us to a surgeon in Redding and when we declined to use that surgeon because we wanted to go to a more qualified surgeon in Sacramento, he kept pushing for us to see the person in Redding (must be a refer a friend deal going on here). This surgeon he refers people to has operated on a few friends of ours and all had bad experiences and complications during the surgery. That is WHY we requested all of my moms medical transcripts to be sent to a surgeon in Sac. 2. Medical Records: My mom requested her medical records 3 days after surgery. We needed them so we could send all the new info to our Sac surgeon. Even with the urgency of this matter they kept the records from us for THREE WEEKS. This was with us going in each day asking for them and explaining they importance of needing them (and our surgeons office would call too). Had it not been for Shasta Regional providing us some of the records we needed, my mom's surgery would've been pushed out almost 5 months and who knows what could've happened in that time frame. There's a lot more I can go into but hopefully this is enough to convince you to find another cardi. Dr.Kahn and his office do NOT care about patients and could care less about helping them. Think LONG AND HARD before you choose him. I urge you to do your research on patient rights in CA and see if any of them have been violated by Dr.Kahn. I've listed resources below to help. RESOURCES: California Medical Board: - https://www.mbc.ca.gov/Consumers/file-a-complaint/ CA Health & Safety Code. - Physician must permit the patient to view their records during business hours within five working days after receipt of the written request. - https://www.mbc.ca.gov/Resources/Medical-Resources/Access-Records.aspx#:~:text=The%20physician%20must%20then%20permit,other%20person%20of%20their%20choosing. read more

My mom has gone to the clinic when she was alive and now I am a patient of Dr. Khan and I would recommend him to anyone. He is great with his patience. He knows what he's doing and knows the heart very well. read more

Dr. Kahn took a lot of time to interview me. I felt as though he was compassionate yet intelligent. His "bedside manner," as well as his staff's treatment of me, made me comfortable and trusting. read more

Had my first appt with Dr. Khan today, and found him to be kind and relatable. I was very comfortable with him, and did not feel judged as one can with some physicians. It happens that I'm afraid of the meds which are considered best practice in treating my condition; this clearly frustrated Dr. Khan, as he certainly cares, just as with other doctors with whom I've had this issue. The difference is that he retained his noble attitude, wasn't dismissive, and didn't lose my confidence in his care. He explained things very clearly, adding insights, and cut to the chase in directing my concerns, allaying unnecessary fears and lending focus to my perception of the matter. Now I'm motivated to read up more on that medication, and think it through some more. Meantime, he has provided important reassurance, and enhanced my understanding of this important health matter. read more

Dr Kahn was our referral for a family member during an emergency. He was wonderful doctor, Patient, kind, great communication skills. He took care of my loved one and we walked away with a great appreciation and respect for Dr Kahn amd his staff! read more

Caveat emptor! Dr. Khan is a very nice man with a very good staff however, I believe that there other doctors in Redding or (UCDAVIS) that will provide you and your loved-ones better care. My experience with him was terrible, as he does not communicate in English very well and left my atrial fibulation completely un-treated after 4 months in his care. And rather than put me on blood thinners so I didn't have a stroke, he recommended that I take baby asprin only! When he told me he was waiting to get my insurance company to pay for an unecessary and expensive and risky medical device.... I knew it was time to get another opinion-- which was to treat my a-fib and no device was needed! When I requested a copy of my medical records I was told that no records leave the office before the doctor has time to review them. It took more than a month to get the records--- which were incomplete! (no labs and notes were imcomplete!!) This doctor doesn't even live in our community--- he lives in Roseville. read more

Dr. Khan is one of the nicest Doctor I have ever met, he is the example of how a doctor suppose to be, his bedside manner is impeccable, he is wonderful and kind. great staff, I am very very satisfied with my sevice read more

Dr. Khan's office personnel is not exactly truthful with clients. I like Cathy very much as a Doctor, and Dr. Khan also..But some of the staff, I am not real pleased with. I took in the completed paperwork, to get a disabled tag, until i can get over this shortness of breath, and being unable to walk the longer distances into the stores I have to go to. I totally understood, that I would leave paperwork, and that it would be ready for pick up the next day..So I made my appt with DMV for early afternoon of the next day. Just in case, I contacted the office in the AM, to verify paperwork was ready for pick up. I was told that the person that does this, is out of office today, which is Thursday and would not be back until next week. I asked why i was told it would be ready this morning, and no one could answer that question. All that is required is a signature of the doctor.. I used to work for a doctor, and when a signature was needed, we were instructed to take to doctor between patients, and have it signed..and contact patient immediately to let them know paperwork was at front desk and ready for pick up.. Now, I am having to cancel the DMV appt, and make another, which is late next week. This also means that I have to continue to disturb my Daughter to run these errands for me, for another week, as I am unable to do them on my own, having to park so far from the front doors. like the pharmacies, and like the grocery store. I just feel that the office could be better organized when it comes to paperwork needing completed.. read more

I will never go to this man again! I was admitted to the hospital with chest pains, & with having a pacemaker they were concerned with my heart. He preformed a angiogram & I felt like I was being tortured!! He was brutal!! I was crying begging him to stop!! I asked him if he hated me? This man has absolutely no empathy & I felt he enjoyed causing me great pain!! I swear to God if he was the last heart Dr on this earth, I would not go to him! Please BEWARE!!! read more

Tiffany is the rudest receptionist I have ever dealt with. She insisted that SHE review my EKG from the hospital before moving my appointment up sooner. She is practicing medicine without a license but that is an issue for the medical board. Dr. Khan would be wise to dump this self-serving idiot before he gets HIS license in jeopardy. read more

Dr. Khan is not a certified cardiologist. He can't perform ANY surgery because he is only an internist with a cardiology subspeciality. He refers everyone out for stents, the most simple operation a real cardiologist can do. Ask him if he performs surgery himself before going to him. My advice is to stay away from this man. read more

I accompanied a GF who was very nervous ,today in for a consult with Dr.Khan . I was very impressed not only with the cleanliness & order of the clinic ,But also the professionalism of the Staff AND Dr.Khan himself. I've been in the medical profession for over 30 years and rarely have come across a cardiologist with such a wonderful kind& sincere bed side manner. He immediately calmed my friend . Asked questions that no other doc has asked her before. One of the sweetest things he did was after finding out how much $$ she was paying for her cholesterol R\x , gave her enough samples to last one month . I was very impressed. Almost Made me feel like I wanted a cardiac issue so i cud make him my doctor !!! Thanks Dr.Khan for taking such great care of my friend read more

I have total faith in Dr Khan's skills. He has a wonderful "bed side manner" and is extremely easy to communicate with. In response to another review, Personally I have a very difficult time understanding people with strong accents and I have never had any trouble understanding Dr Khan. He speaks excellent English. He also has proven his commitment to the Redding community over many years. I once lived in Sacramento to be near someone special while commuting to work in Redding. Barbara Durel read more

Dr. Khan is good but the frontoffice over books, Uncalled for they are getting better. Facilitator is very clean and a welcome site.

My experience with Dr Khan is somewhat different I suppose, because he is so relaxed when you talk with him, you forget your talking to a doctor. Love this doctor, & trust is a BIG issue with me, but you feel very safe with him & he is so kind on top of everything else. I do research on doctors, & found out he has very good schooling. But while that helps a great deal, I look too, for compassion & patients. This doctor has all the elements. His staff from my point of view, is friendly & also caring. read more

do not bother going unless you have 1 1/2 to 2 hrs and more to see the Dr. Appointments mean nothing to this office. have had to cancel and reschedule 2 times for them being late becouse i have other appointments and they seem to think the patients time has no value. it may be life and death but go to one that cares about their patients, not just a dollar sign . they have also had me come in for no reason it seems except to get more money from you or the insurance carriers. think hard before you go to Dr. Kahn's office staff not friendly at all. good luck read more

While I lived in Redding I saw Dr. Khan about 4 times. Because I'd been followed by cardiologist in Dallas and other large city locations I was familiar with some good quality of care. For a small town, Dr. Khan's knowledge, skill and competence was refreshing. In fact, his care was as good as any Baylor physician or UW physician I'd seen. He manages to have a wonderfully kind and respectful bedside manner while being extremely skilled at what he does. I would recommend him to family and anyone in need of a cardiologist. The clinic is also very beautifully kept and equipped. read more

Very good experience with Dr. Khan! I had to get a clearance for s surgery and he got me in the next day. Great staff as well, he has really created a "raving fan" customer service culture. Much appreciated. read more

Dr. Khan is my husband's cardiologist and he is always caring, informative, and concerned with any issues Larry has. He is thorough and asks a lot of questions to help Larry keep the Dr. informed of his issues. He sometimes brings things out that we did not think were important but are. The staff there is also excellent. We have never had to wait for any significant period of time, and the office staff is very good about making the time of appointments convenient for us, especially because we drive almost two hours for the appointment. Thank you Dr. Khan and staff. We appreciate you so much. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Khan since 2005 and he speaks perfect English, explains well, answers questions, spends as much time as you need with him. His stent placement is the only reason I am alive today so I think the person who wrote the negative remarks needs to read up on Dr Khan's background. He is knowledgeable, kind, caring and concerned. His staff is friendly and always pleasant. I am very proud to call him my doctor and thank him for coming to Redding! read more

Dr Kahn is the best Doctor I have been to for my heart problems. He explains things in a way that you can understand. i had a previous Doctor that was terrible at this. He helped my wife while I was being prepared for an operation, to understand what was going on. I would and do recommend Dr Kahn to everyone needed a Heart Doctor. I have been his patient for several years. As far as the front office they are very nice and helpful people. I ahve never had problems with any of their services. read more

I've been accompanying my mother at her appointments with Dr. Khan. Scheduling is easy, there's never been more than a few minutes wait (even though the patient waiting area is typically full). Dr. Khan's staff is efficient and professional, but they also take the time to communicate the estimated time you may need to wait (if at all), then offer you a cold drink or coffee. Patients are treated like...well...like people! Then there is Dr. Khan, who is a calm expert that has been able to allay my mom's fears and answer her questions. Someone said he doesn't communicate in English well??? That is simply not true. Finally, Dr. Khan works exceptionally well with Shasta Regional and UC Davis, both hospitals that provided accelorated care for my mom. Following heart valve replacement surgery, at 93, she's now doing quite well. We are definitely fans of Dr. Khan and his excellent staff. read more
