Not a bad place but nothing amazing. Pad Thai flavor wasn't very authentic, a bit more of a sour flavor. Some of the sushi rolls are pretty good. Udon was good, tempura was a bit greasy. Overall not bad! Staff is kind. Spacious with lots of seating (indoor-outdoor).

After 3 days, I was ready for something different. A friend suggested MOG. They were jamming when we arrived and had to wait for a table... Which took no more than 10 minutes. We were so hungry and ended up ordering waaaaaay too much food, but it was well worth it! Sushi was extremely fresh, and they have an array of noodles including ramen, udon, pho, and even Thai Khao Soi. We also got the wagyu beef set and the meat just melted in our mouths. If you're looking for Japanese/Asian, this place did not disappoint!

MOG had some of the best sushi I have had in CDMX. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant in the future. I highly recommend the otoro sampler. However, their ramen was much to be desired for and is the only reason this restaurant is a 4/5.

Can't seem to find good sushi AND ramen ON TOP OF all of your favorite Asian cuisines in Mexico City? Well stop the press and look no further. This over looked establishment is your one stop shop. Not to mention that the portions are large and will ensure that you leave fully and satisfied. The waiters are attentive and that's not common in Mexico let alone Latin America. Trust me go and savor every bite!

This place is PACKED. At 4pm in a Thursday afternoon there's a line of about 15 people out the door. It's very popular. The menu is a fusion of Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, but I had meant to look up a Taiwanese place and this one came up. The atmosphere is amazing, very busy, great seating arrangement. The service is also pretty good, and they try to get everything in an orderly fashion. I had some amazing food. Also, their plates are HUGE. So be ready to share with friends. I got a spicy cucumber salad, mapo tofu and the curry laksa. Epic food, epic vibes. I have been used to small plates and received some large platters of food. I would come again with groups of friends. They also cater to food allergies and did me a mapo tofu vegan and the curry laksa too. 5/5.

My sister and I was looking for a restaurant in the area and stumbled across Mog. We were seated upstairs where they had a traditional Japanese setting with low tables and pillows to sit on. They also provided lockers to take your shoes off and set your belongings. The service was fast and very friendly. The sushi was delicious and their drinks were strong. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the Roma Norte area!

This is such a cute and random place. It's a mish mash of Japanese foods. I was a little hesitant of missing out on some good Mexican food by going to an Asian place, but we had a good time. There was even a secret room with a tiny door. People were being served. We never figured out what was going on in there. There's an upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs there regular sushi and stuff. Upstairs, they have the charcoal grilling apparatus. You have to take off your shoes and wear their given crocs. So I would recommend wearing socks. We had a random assortment of foods and drinks: cocktails, sushi, okonomiyaki, and some raw meats and veggies I grilled on the charcoal grill. I would skip the chicken. I think the kalbi was best. It had the most flavor. The veggies did not do so well on the grill.

I'm definitely Asian because after a few days in Mexico City I was craving Asian food. So glad I found this place through Yelp! This is such a cute fun place with a really great energy. They had live music when we dined there. The menu selection is diverse and expansive. We ordered the edamame preparado, the spicy salmon, and okonomiyaki . The dishes were larger than expected although the pho bowl seems a lot smaller than in America (which is not a bad thing). My spicy salmon roll was fresh and the edamame had a nice balance of spicy and salty.

I had to come back and change this review to a 1 star because the 3 us who had the sushi/sashimi and fried tempura got sick and vomited / diarrhea all night. This place was lovely the first night we ate here we had the Tom yum appetizer portion and it was so well done- the flavors and spices galore. the lemongrass and ginger was so fragrant. And the soup was HOT in temperature which I loved. I'm finding that food is not served hot enough generally in Mexico City so this was a pleasant surprise! My mom had the green curry which she loved. The grilled sizzling tofu was also amazing. One the second day though- I'm not sure what happened. It wasn't quite the same pizzazz. We ordered the tom yum ramen thinking that it would taste like the tom yum appetizer and it was not as sour and more sweet and milky, which was not nearly as good as the first night. We ordered way too much food. The photos can appear smaller than the actual dish so you might over order. The fried vegetable skewers was not good and batter was way too dense. The tempura was much better. Sashimi fish was generally ok. Overall, we did enjoy the food but depending on what you order can be a hit or miss. The chocolate cake was tasty and I loved the dark chocolate notes- the texture was too dense though.

We are so glad we found this place in Mexico City! It is amazing. The atmosphere and service were spectacular. It is big and crowded. We got seated right away right by the sushi bar in the main level. We think the top level is for businesses. We noticed people in business suits carrying suitcases rushed upstairs. It is an Asian restaurant we saw about six other Asian people there, the rest were locals and European travelers. The menu is huge. We were surprised with the selection. There is ramen, pho (Vietnamese style), Thai food and other great dishes. We ordered two dishes of ramen, bun bao, asparagus with bacon, and creme brûlée de matcha. Honestly everything we tried were delicious. Tasteful. I highly recommend this place. Service was great, our waiter was very knowledgeable about the dishes. Amazing drinks as well. We had Corozon de Leon. Price is definitely cheap. We spent $38 usd total. Yep.

This is the receipt for the things we got.

Among the numerous Asian dishes they serve I found that Japanese food was very traditional.

I wish the owner would have walked around to chat with us. He did greet us but kept moving. Food was delicious - the katsudon was on pointe. The curry katsu udon soup was my favorite. We chose this spot as it was not too busy but not totally dead on a Monday night which seemed promising. Although advertised, they were out of Modelo. We went with a Corona instead along with a shoyu chicken ramen and a tonkotsu pork ramen. We were informed there was no more pork and so ordered the chicken instead. The beer took a long while to get to us and the ramen was seemingly never coming. I even started looking up other nearby restaurants as I was getting hangry. The server did not come check on us or apologize for the long delay at any point. Finally, the ramens arrived and I was disappointed to see a very plain ramen served with no toppings. Very unfortunate as the broth and noodles were good! But the toppings were missed. After eating, we had to walk indoors to get someone to acknowledge we were finished and to pay and leave. Overall, the ramen has great potential but the service was extremely lacking.
