As a "wok restaurant" Mister Shi is fine. They have all the basic things you'd expect; raw products…read morefor the wok, some prepared sides and of course ice cream as dessert. Fairly standard stuff.
The thing is, we just don't really "feel it" over here. Not the same loving and welcoming vibe we used to have at "our" wok. But now that they've changed their concept completely, we're in dire need of a replacement.
*cries for days*
Anyway, the food is fine, but the way they work here is a bit weird. They advertise as having Teppanyaki style cooking available as well which technically speaking is true. Usually this would be part of the all you can eat service, but here they've decided that you will receive one Teppanyaki dish as a starter before you move on to the actual food. Bit weird, seems like a lot of cost cutting to me and I don't like that, especially not from a place that is smaller and more expensive than our old wok.
Conclusion: fine. Really just fine, would not bring out of town friends here, but also wouldn't turn down the offer of someone else buying me a meal here.
