So slow. We waited 30 minutes for our order. Not busy. The person at the check out was working at a snails pace.

We stopped in for the first time this evening. I got a steak quesadilla and it was absolutely amazing. Could improve at check out.

We tried Mas Amor when they first opened up and were not impressed, so it has been sometime since…read morewe had been back. We dined with a party of 5 on Saturday evening and the food was quite good! It has a pleasant surprise! The restaurant itself is pleasant and decorated well. The food was all tasty - tacos, quesadilla, dips, taco salad and the Gorditas! We liked the thin chips much better than the thick ones that came with the guac and queso. The only negative, and it is potentially a big one, was the service. The host didn't welcome us and was not very friendly and didn't move with any sense of urgency. Our server was very friendly, but at times all of us had empty drinks and it took him a long time to come check on us. My dish said it came with sour cream and when it arrived there was none on it. I asked for some and it took 10 minutes for it to arrive. My food was warm when it arrived, but cold by the time the sour cream arrived. It still tasted excellent, but I would rather go to a mediocre tasting restaurant with killer service than a place that tastes great, but you are never checked on. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. There were empty tables. The manager brought our food and checked on us at the end and he was cleaning tables. He was very nice and I felt like he probably needed more help or to do some training. I work in the service industry and I know how tough it is. But you have to have energetic staff that know how to check on folks and communicate or else you will die on the vine. I think overall we will be back and hope it was just an off night with service. To those about to dine, I salute you! Good luck with the service!

Went here for a happy hour with some friends. Service is great and wait staff works very hard…read more One thing I'll say is that it's pricy. What you see in the picture is $21 once tax gets you, and that's without getting some of the cocktails. Definitely plan on breaking $100 if you get a few drinks here with your spouse. I had the Diablo tacos (grilled shrimp, jalapeño bacon, chipotle aioli, cabbage slaw) and the tacos are generously packed. Definitely a great spot in Hickory

I came in with a fee friends on a Friday after work for dinner. It has been years since I have been…read moreto the Porch, and it looks very similar. It was busy and bustling, a bit noisy, packed spaced. We were waited on my Evie who was an absolute gem, available and professional. I ordered a special taco plate with fish that was beer battered. The tacos were pretty good: pickled onions, an amazingly flavorful orange sauce. The fish was somewhat bland and kind of mushy in the middle. The rest was good. Salsa bar, guac, and chips were tasty. I also had a fresh limeade that was great. I would come back, especially for the service.

We ordered two margaritas flights. Flavors were lavender, mixed berry, blackberry sage, and prickly…read morepear. The prickly pear was very tart. Blackberry sage had a muddled, interesting flavor to it. Think wine-y but not quite that either. The mixed berry needed more berry flavor but was okay. Lavender was best out of all, but it was teetering on sickly, almost had too much lavender syrup. For entrees, I ordered the puffy Pete chicken tacos. They came out with crema on it when I ordered it on the side, but it was quickly rectified. The portion was good. I was full by the end. The flavor was okay. Chicken cooked fine. But it didn't have much of a sweet heat kick to it without the jalapeños added. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily get it again when we go back. My fiancé ordered the Houston beef puffy taco. He thought the taco was very filling. It had meat falling out of it, which was good. It tasted like a typical ground beef taco. He hoped the chorizo would elevate it, but it didn't. It was similar to a Taco Bell beef taco. Overall, decent tacos, and it helped that it was big for the price. We want to visit again, but we'll try other menu items and stick with water. The music was fine. Country and nothing stuck out. Service was fine. She kept only giving a small amount of napkins for a messy dish, which was a bit annoying, but she was very helpful answering our questions for our first time. So she was overall helpful and pleasant.
