This is an excellent little place run by a husband and wife. Excellent flavors. The most delicious bread. Excellent drinks. View of the river. Very affordable. I literally said to wife- "how do you drive by and not stop!" Small plates are great. Love this place.

This is a hole in the wall place run by some hard working people so be patient. Drink an authentic cafe cubano after you eat! We've always had outstanding food here.

Pork with rice, beans, and some plantains. Jumbo pork burrito. Topped off with some Sangria

If I could give 6 Stars I would. Best Latin style food around. My wife had the Pork chunks with rice, beans, salad and sweet plantains. I had the jumbo pork burrito. Absolutely excellent! Preceded the food with some sangria! We will definitely be coming back. Oh and the place is situated on the Little River. Can't beat it!

Great local spot for BBQ just off the interstate! Pulled off…read moreI-81 at the Wythville exit in a trip to northern Virginia and decided to try this local bbq restaurant. The brisket had a good mixture of lean and fatty meat, and a perfect smoke that really didn't need any sauce, but the bourbon sauce added a savory heat that was excellent. The real surprise was the bourbon beans! This blend of black and pinto beans with peppers, onions and bacon is sitting in a brilliant sauce with an amazing sweet heat and is thin enough to imbue the flavor without being a thick brown-sugar soup... a definite must have! The staff were very friendly as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was price and setting. Based on the interior which appears to still be under some construction, I'm assuming they have only recently moved into the space... which is fine, however, for table service I would expect something more that styrofoam to-go containers and plastic utensils. And, although the quality of the food is quite good and portions are nice, $21 for one bbq meat and two sides is a bit on the high side. So, if you are moving through the area and are looking for good bbq, (and don't mind paying a bit more and being served in styrofoam) it's definitely worth stopping by.

It was busy and bustling, a bit noisy, packed spaced. We were waited on my Evie who was an absolute gem, available and professional. I ordered a special taco plate with fish that was beer battered. The tacos were pretty good: pickled onions, an amazingly flavorful orange sauce. The fish was somewhat bland and kind of mushy in the middle. The rest was good. Salsa bar, guac, and chips were tasty. I also had a fresh limeade that was great. I would come back, especially for the service.

Blackberry sage had a muddled, interesting flavor to it. Think wine-y but not quite that either. The mixed berry needed more berry flavor but was okay. Lavender was best out of all, but it was teetering on sickly, almost had too much lavender syrup. For entrees, I ordered the puffy Pete chicken tacos. They came out with crema on it when I ordered it on the side, but it was quickly rectified. The portion was good. I was full by the end. The flavor was okay. Chicken cooked fine. But it didn't have much of a sweet heat kick to it without the jalapeños added. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily get it again when we go back. My fiancé ordered the Houston beef puffy taco. He thought the taco was very filling. It had meat falling out of it, which was good. It tasted like a typical ground beef taco. He hoped the chorizo would elevate it, but it didn't. It was similar to a Taco Bell beef taco. Overall, decent tacos, and it helped that it was big for the price. We want to visit again, but we'll try other menu items and stick with water. The music was fine. Country and nothing stuck out. Service was fine. She kept only giving a small amount of napkins for a messy dish, which was a bit annoying, but she was very helpful answering our questions for our first time. So she was overall helpful and pleasant.
