On this instance I had an order of Nacho's prepared and they were delivered via Doordash. I found the experience simple and the transaction painless. As for the product. It was well made in nacho sized container made shaped like a plater. It was well prepared and nothing was soggy. Portions were complimentary to the price. Total win win! read more

The staff at Moe's is very friendly, they greeted us with smiles as soon as we walked in. The space is big and there was plenty of seating. The line was busy but everything was efficient. My steak burrito was tasty and well cooked. I liked the veggies and the guacamole in it. The chips were a little stale, but my friends batch wasn't . It was clean but hot temperature wise in there. From a scale of 1-10 For cleanliness I'd give an 8. Most tables needed wiped down. I wiped ours down before we sat. Lunch was pleasant, I'm going back to Moe's. I'm not sure what's happened to this location. I've been coming here for years but the last few times have been pretty bad. 1-cleanliness- the salsa bar had trash in it and all on the counter around it. 2-the chips were almost all the broken pieces from the bottom of the bin, with so much salt they were pretty much inedible. 3-when I asked for a Junior burrito, not realizing the menu had changed(my bad), the employee gave me a kids meal sized burrito, charged me for a kids meal but did not give me a drink or cookie. If he was under the impression that that is what I was wanting to order then why would he not have given me the additional items. 4-the rice was crunchy and not fully cooked. I have been to a couple Moe's locations in the area but this is my first time at this particular location. I wasn't sure if I could get what I wanted: the kid's burrito (Moo Moo Mr. Cow) with no tortilla but it wasn't a problem--they just put all my ingredients into a container, perfect! Unfortunately, this location wasn't very clean. The salsa bar/drink area was pretty messy--my friend ended up wiping the bar down a bit with some napkins because she just couldn't stand it. The door dash driver lied and said she delivered (needless to say I'll never give them my business again, meaning door dash). I work at Police and fire headquarters, there are cameras all over the campus. No one ever saw this girl. I called this Moe's location that dealt with the order, they happily remade the order and gave me queso as well. We're fast, fun and friendly about the whole ordeal. This location, while cheaper than most Moe's i've been too, really solidified why I rank it worse than Q'doba or Chipotle. The chicken in my burrito was flat out burnt, my rice was cold, and my salsa was frozen! I come here because it is convenient to my house although it is not my favorite Moe's location. The employees don't really greet you when you enter. I was excited about my Homewrecker at the last visit, but the steak tasted funny and my ingredients were not enough to evenly distribute throughout my burrito. I mostly got mouthfuls of beans and rice instead of guacamole, grilled onions and cheese! It may have been just that one employee on that particularly busy day but I may not come as often because of that experience. The dining room is otherwise satisfactory, clean enough, not spotless. 5/16 I decided to try another Mexican restaurant, I usually go to La Parillla. I walked inside the Battlefield Moes and it was dark and it smelled stale. The floor was extremely greasy. I literally was sliding around inside this place. I ordered a steak bowl and which the server gave me 2 scoops of rice, i had to ask her for more. As i walked down to see what else toppings they had that crap looked old and disgusting.The lettuce was brown, the guacamole was brown and green,the salsa was old and stank looking the beans....yuck. I asked the server was the food fresh she said yes. I canceled my food order and slid outta there. This place was disgusting. I wonder do the health department know how gross this place is! I went to this place when it first opened and it was the first burrito chain in Chesapeake. Sadly, it feels like it's slipped in quality. The food was still fairly good and the service was well enough, but the whole place felt like it was falling apart. The salsa bar needed a wipe down, there were catering supplies stashed at a random place in the dining area, and the TV looked like it showing a mix of static and football. This location has been going down the toilet for a couple years -- and new ownership hasn't seemed to help things. The dining room renovation removed most of the table seating, now replaced with a set of floor-bolted stools and an island that oddly greet you at the entrance. The place has the feel of Burger King in the 1980s-- yes, very classy, indeed. The COVID farce has provided a convenient excuse to reduce the salsa bar to only two basic, pre-packaged salsas...and iced tea and non-carbonated fountain selections are no longer offered. The Greenbrier location still offers salsa and drink choices, so the removal is not in response to an irrational health department rule -- clearly, it's a cost-cutting decision. Not a pleasant dining experience, nor have the past five visits been better. read more

Down right terrible!! This is the second time in a row I've Odered from this Moe's and it's been all bad. We used their mobile app to place our order both times, put what we wanted on our Joey and nachos and to our displeasure our order is messed up again. Put no meat in neither one of our orders, forgot one of two queso dips we ordered aswell. Had to call the store and get our money back have them remake our food and go back out to pick up food in the rain, that should've been made the right way. Tighten up guys been coming here over 10 years and the quality over the years has just been poor. Past few times chicken has been burnt and gristly. So we stopped coming because the wife rather have Chipotle instead and this time she gave in and once again messed up the order. This is an okay Moe's. The staff is friendly and the food is usually good. The only issues I've had related to ordering ahead online and picking up. I've done it four times from this location and three of those times (including this past weekend), they forgot multiple items inside my burrito - guac is usually one of them. Love the fresh menu fare. For a quick meal, it's a fairly healthy way to go - you can make it as calorie-laden as you want. I usually opt for either the Close Talker salad or the Homewrecker burrito and stack it with whatever veggies I'm in the mood for. One of the bizarre juxtapositions is the fact that Moe's "Southwest Grill" is decorated with these doppleganger art posters of random people posed as "Dead Ringers" for the corresponding celebrities. I'm sure there's a valid answer for that, but I just don't see it as going with the culinary theme. Another interesting observation today as I was pondering the artwork's relevance: they only serve Miller and Budweiser beers. No Corona. No Dos Equis. No Shiner Bock or something of the "southwest" region. What gives? Is Bud Light Lime the closest you could find? This obviously rocked me to the core today, probably only because I was eating lunch alone while waiting for my wife to finish up her lunch at the nearby Kagura with her woman friends, an event I fear to interrupt. This used to be my favorite place to come for a quick hella good burrito. But lately it's been super crappy. We asked for queso PAID FOR IT and didn't receive it. The drink machine was out of literally everything except Dr Pepper which is fine it's whatever, EXCEPT for the fact that it was like watered down and tasted funny. The area where the salsa and straws and napkins are was so sticky and dirty. Its laziness, I understand people have off days but like honestly the whole crew having an off day? I think It's super upsetting to see this because honestly I love eating at Moe's but if this is what it has turned out to be I'll probably have to find a different burrito place ‍ read more

We chose Moe's for a catering order to help us celebrate our son's high school graduation at the recommendation of a good friend. Unfortunately the food wasn't ready on time and the person gathering the food left out the chicken as well as not giving us any of the condiments (lettuce, pico, cheese, etc.). We hadn't discovered this until I got home. We had a number of guests standing by to eat, but with incomplete offerings. I tried calling the store, but the phone just rang on and on and on. I went back to the store and the fellow whom I had spoken with at pick up, seemed surprised, but went to the back and returned with a box with my name on it and all the condiments. He put together a tray of the chicken, said he was sorry ("my bad") and sent me on my way. First impressions when we walk into the place was very grim and dirty, and we had to wait 10 minutes just for the person to finally take our order. The people almost messed up our order and wasn't comprehending anything that we were saying. Finally after all of that drama, we just decided to put that behind us and go sit down and have a good time. But unfortunately that vision also got crushed by the dirty tables. This is a review of this particular Moe's location and not so much the franchise itself. This is a good Moe's. On occasions where there is a line, it seems to move pretty fast. The staff here seems to take a good amount of care when assembling your order, and they are quick to refill your chips when you ask them. The place always seems nice and clean. The salsa station seems well stocked. Plus this place recently got one of those newfangled "Coca-Cola Freestyle" drink fountains, which are always nice. For quasi-fast food...its a little on the pricey side. They don't have much for a kids menu for those in between kids meals but not ready for the adult portion yet. For myself and two kids it's been around $28.00 to eat. I would expect that price with 3 adults. My 8 year old who's being more independent ordered a burrito and they gave him the full size adult portion. We went back for the "kids eat free" special and he asked for the same thing but was given the kids burrito. If the kids didn't love the place I could do without it. The salsa bar is above average but the small containers leaves the customer finding other ways to bring enough salsa back to the table. Wow, The service that we received here was literally an absolute joke. Not even sure where to start, when we walked in we were greeted with the standard "welcome to moe's." And then it immediately with downhill from there. When I was asked for the type of protein I wanted the young man proceeded to literally throw my burrito together, and when I was asked for the sauce I wanted he literally slam the thing of sauce back into the holder. "BAM!" The entire line of customers were suprised at how the two young gentleman seemed hate every second of assembling our orders. I want believe this was an isolated incident, but my wife behind me received the exact same treatment, except for she got the very bottom of the seemly burnt chicken. When fresh chicken was ready rigut behind they guy. We should of taken a picture of the proof how sad the meals looked. Queso ran all over the sides of my wife's paper bowl, seemed as though more queso clung to the sides of the paper bowl than actually served in the bowl. The flavors were there, however, the presentation and service were sadly not. This will be the last time we return to this location. The two young men working the line truly need to learn customer service, "BASIC customer service" would go a long way here. Then The icing on the cake was when I was standing at the cashier waiting for my wife's bowl to be finished so I could pay for our meal and the young man calls out extremely loud "ma'am are you with him!?" We had obviously walked in together and waited to be served together this was super awkward for us as we are an interracial couple. Consistent in their inconsistency: I've been here too many times to count since they've been open, but lately they've become inconsistent. They used to have decent portion sizes for the money barely get any chicken in my taco lately and the food used to taste good and fresh, but recently it's been all over the map in regards to the taste. There just isn't the same value any longer. Also some employees have a lot to be taught in regards to customer service, they're more worried about breaking the rules versus being empowered to solve customer issues. It's hard to believe this location is the same chain compared to the other Moes location on Eden Way who has remained very consistent overall serving high quality food and great customer service vs this one.
