I just happen to find Moe Harrigan's Tavern and let me just saw that it was an awesome experience going here. The vibe inside the restaurant is welcoming with all the associates and bar folks being so friendly with the employees showing great hospitality to me. The decor inside the bar looks amazing with all the neon signs of beer and others. The food however was out of this world, the cheeseburger was made to order meaning it was made with care. The burger was delicious that my eyes rolled out of my head lol. This was the best bar experience I've ever been too. Thank you, for making my visit so memorable, I will never forget this night. I was there on Saturday, March 15. I arrived shortly after 5pm so I could get dinner and then see Funky G. However, it was impossible to place an order. We managed to wave a server down, who just waved at us like we were toddlers and then never came back to take an order. Approximately 30 minutes later, I asked verbally for assistance with an order, but the server walked away. I left the restaurant at approximately 6:30, having never been able to place a food or beverage order and knowing that there was no way I could move to the tent to see the band and potentially have a drink without having eaten. I had planned to do this since I saw the event announced and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. My friends stayed, but they had eaten since I had and don't have the same issues with absolutely having to eat that I do. I won't ever attempt to go to this place again. Food and service was outstanding but the prices are a little steep in my opinion. Got a pork tenderloin and some smoked wings which were both delicious, the tenderloin seemed like it was breaded and made in house. Wings came with a dry rub and we're on point with freshness. Harrigan's Irish Pub is under new management/ownership since the last time I was there, although some of the good wait staff are still there like Danielle. We had fish and chips with coleslaw. I was part of a group of 8 that ate there yesterday. First sign of trouble should have been lack of customers on a Saturday with numerous sports on TV. Second sign of trouble was when we asked for a couple of samples of craft beer from their taps, and one sample had gnats floating in the beer and the response from the waitress was that they "must have come straight from the tap." WTF! Speaking of the waitress, she was the only worker in the front of the house. She was hostess, waitress, bartender, etc. Other than kitchen staff, she was it. Third sign of trouble was more gnats, especially after our food was brought out to us. This place is a tired and worn out establishment that is in desperate need of an overhaul. I was recently here with some friends and our kids on a Thursday during lunch time. There is a kids place called Run Around Fun Town right across the street and not many restaurants nearby so this was one of our few options. We walked right in and were able to grab a table. It wasn't super crowded, but had a decent amount of people for lunch time. Once we got the kids and use settled in, we had to go find someone at the bar and asked for menus. We found out once the bartender came over with menus that they had a new waitress. Looking over the menu it's typical pub food. I decided on a Reuben with fries. They do have a kids menu and it's fairly priced. I grab my daughter corn dogs and mandarin oranges. My two friends got the Salmon Burger, they ordered their little ones corn dogs and chicken tenders. One got a side of fries the other got mac n cheese. We found that service was a bit slow for them not being busy, but the kids were fine so it wasn't a huge deal. Once the food arrived it looked great. My Reuben was delicious and the fries were fresh and hot. My daughters corn dogs were a little overcooked, but nothing major. The chicken tenders were standard like most places. My friends had a bit of a mixed review on the Salmon burger. One thought it was decent, but definitely frozen and just reheated. The other thought it was way too fishy and couldn't eat much more then half of it. Overall it was a good meal. Definitely the place for good bar food. I would be curious to see how it is on Friday or Saturday. I can imagine as an Irish pub, it's pretty lively around St. Patrick's Day too! read more

Recently stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a beer with a few friends. We sat at the half-populated bar. The rest of the place had 4-6 tables occupied. Not in anyway I would consider busy or packed. Our first drink took about 5 minutes. I noticed a table of 6 came in, sat themselves (which I think is what the sign said).. and then waited 5-7 minutes until one of them got up, went to the bar and ordered drinks. Shortly after, he got up and got menus for his table. There was a waitress in that area, but I guess she had so much going on with her one table already... dunno. I finished my beer. And waited. The bartender must have walked by 5 times. Someone else finished their drink. Waited. Finally we flag her down, and 3-5 minutes later we get another round of drinks. Shortly after, she tells us they're switching shifts and asks if can she close us out. We had planned to have a bite to eat here, but after the glacier-pace of service and the simply lack of service to others in the place... we figured we'd skip. My dinner companion and I arrived a bit before 6 pm when normally we don't get to dinner before 7. Sliding into a booth we waited a while for the waitress to see us - which would not take much as we were only one of about five or six tables filled in the place. When a young staff person greeted us to take a drink order, I thought an Irish Coffee would be nice. She hesitated, asked again and then said she didn't know if they could make me an Irish coffee...then sighed heavily, explaining that she'd ***have to make the coffee, first,*** (looking at me as if to say, " do I really have to??"). Not wanting to put her out, I settled for a cold beverage. We did order a meal, but honestly, the meal was forgettable. On the way out, signs posted on every door mentioned they would not be taking American Express anymore. Danger, Will Robinson. Sad experience at a long-time establishment. My boyfriend and I visited here for a spur of the moment lunch today. It's a place we have usually enjoyed. Upon arriving there was one girl behind the bar working and maybe two booths seated. Pretty dead for lunchtime. She had an obvious table of friends in the back who were being very outspoken. We sat at the bar for a full 5 minutes before even being acknowledged due to her preoccupation with her friends. Once we were finally given menus it was another 15 minutes to order. Keep in mind the place was basically empty. We ordered a second round of drinks. My boyfriend was given his correct beer but she started to pour a shot for me that wasn't what I had before. Instead of apologizing and fixing it she accused me of ordering wrong and tried to convince me I had misspoken. The bartender/ server ,heather ,said she was there by herself. There were 4 other people there,all at the bar and us. We ordered three beers and she said sure. After ten minutes she still hadn't brought the beers and was busy talking on her phone and talking to the people at the bar. I finally walked up and said I'd take the beers to table,but she hadn't even drawn the beers yet. After waiting another 5 minutes or more she finally got the three drafts up and we served ourselves. This same procedure happened again ,and she pretty much ignored us so went up and asked for 3 more beers. I stood and waited at least 1o minutes for her to get them .she was busy talking and I think selling lotto tickets to the few people at bar. At this point we told her to forget lunch,we were leaving. She said just give her 5 dollars and we'd be even. We each gave her 5 dollars for two beers each,I didn't want to cheat anyone even with the awful service. We went to Harrigans at about 7:30pm Saturday evening. There were some customers in the restaurant. Placed our order: Chili, Hamburger with fries and an order of onion rings. While waiting a booth of four left after stating that they had waited too long for their order. This was the second group that had left. While we waited for our order. we learned that there was a new inexperienced cook. Our order arrived: Fries and onion rings were not hot. The onion rings were not fried very well. Mainly the hamburger was not cooked thoroughly-beyond just pink! We sent it back and did not reorder due to length of time it took to receive our food. we asked that it be removed from our bill. WE did pay for the onion rings as we did eat some. While the server apologized for delays and food prep-at no time did the manager have the consideration or courage to come out and talk with us or others. We had tried Harrigan's awhile back. We left after waiting for a server.We saw no employees or customers.. We decided to give them another try and extremely disappointed at the lack of management concern and poor quality of food being served. Harrigan's has failed a great opportunity to give Kettering a good neighborhood place to eat. With competition in the restaurant business it is really sad that better concern and care is not being given to their business or customers read more

Why is there a child running around a bar!? And in and out of the kitchen!?! That's very unsanitary and I'm pretty sure illegal. When I walked into the door, this terrible musty smell assaulted me. My god, it was horrible. The place was dingy, dark, dirty, and definitely didn't remind me of my heritage. The only time the bartender paid attention to me was when I walked in and she said "carry out order!?!" I shook my head and sat at the bar and she ignored me the rest of the time. No offer to get me a drink or show me a menu - which I would not have wanted anyway after seeing, and smelling, the inside. From what I saw of the kitchen, a very small corner, it was FILTHY. Only three tables filled and no one bothered to sweep? There was a waitress just sitting at the bar drinking instead of actually doing her job. Food splatter on the walls and terribly tacky, smelly taxidermied animals on the walls. It doesn't scream "proud to be Irish", it screams "proud to get food poisoning". BEWARE. read more
