Gavin assured me that we wouldn't have been charged for a new estimate - that there must have been a miscommunication, that they don't charge for estimates, so if you call them, I suggest making sure: Is this a service call ($250 to show up) or for an estimate (no charge)? I didn't want to turn anything back on unless it was safe. I called around various places but many were booked or couldn't guarantee service with a minimum $195 troubleshooting fee. I left a message with AMS but was not sure they would get back to me. Brenda called me back right away. Despite having everyone scheduled out, hearing I had lost my heat with the safety concerns over melted electrical, Brenda contacted the owner Aaron who agreed to come out today to help me. Aaron was very courteous, responsive, and professional. He came prepared with a spare thermostat, even though I had already purchased one. His work was professional and he made sure things were installed level. The price for the same day service was very reasonable. $99 service entrance fee + repair time. Would highly recommend this company! They look out for their community and were very kind to fit me in under the circumstances on dhort notice. Very grateful to Brenda and Aaron today! I was looking to upgrade my electrical panel and install an EV charger, and his quote was very reasonable compared to the others I received. From the moment I hired him, it was clear I had made the right choice. Derek was professional, knowledgeable, and took pride in his work. The panel upgrade required cutting into the drywall, and once the installation was complete, he even repaired the drywall so everything looked great again. That level of care really stood out to me. What I appreciated most was his honesty. He never tried to sell me anything I didn't need and focused only on the work that actually needed to be done. As a bonus, he noticed my doorbell transformer needed an upgrade and replaced it at no charge, including the labor. That was completely unexpected and speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. The electrical panel and EV charger installation both turned out excellent, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I am extremely pleased with Derek's work and would hire him again without hesitation for any future electrical projects.
