Small menu but really good items. I really enjoyed the chorizo burrito. My wife had the chilaquiles and an iced latte the server recommended. I don't remember the name of it but just ask questions they seem happy to help. There were two female servers I seen being very attentive and helping each other. Parking in the parking lot was not easy to get because they share the parking with the college. I ended up finding parking around the corner. We want to come back for dinner. read more

First time visiting the setting is pretty cool. We were seated pretty quickly which was nice being at a top lunch time hour on Sunday. This is where things start to get less starry. We got our drinks fairly quickly and then the wait was on. Our order was finally taken and then we waited even longer than what is expected for our food to come out. This is not a huge menu and the food items we ordered are not hard to prepare quesadillas tacos and breakfast burritos They had a lot of help on the floor maybe some should have went to the kitchen. read more

Such a cool new addition to Modesto! What an amazing and creative way to revive the historic Modesto silos! The ambiance is so unique, with incredible details everywhere you look. The food was great, drinks were fantastic, and the service was warm, attentive, and wonderful. Such a fun and memorable experience--we'll definitely be back!:-) read more

It's really nice inside and out. There's lots of parking but a random cauld-a-sac when you first enter on the main road. So try to avoid going in there, lots of parking in the main lot. Our service was nice but we had a big group and the food came out trickling with long waits. I know the new but definitely could improve here. Good food and nice ambiance. read more

I had a Caesar salad and some sides. The mashed potatoes were especially delicious. People I ate with had the salmon and the chicken. Both of them loved their meals. Our server, Mitchell was very attentive, and we felt very well taken care of by all of the staff. We sat outside, but it was in the shade so the temperature wasn't bad at all. It was actually a cool experience to eat right below silos. The place looks like it would be a great venue for a nightclub with lots of outdoor seating. All in all, dining there was a great experience and I look forward to seeing how they evolve as a restaurant. read more

After trying to have a group brunch at another spot and having to wait an hour to get seated we decided to instead give this place a try. And we're so glad we did! As soon as we walked in our waitress (a pretty Latina woman) started moving tables around to accommodate our party of 12. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We had the ability to walk around and truly check out the restaurant and bar area. Will be back for an event in near future. read more

The location is a little unusual, back behind the junior college, but the recycled silo architecture is very visually stimulating. I went there with a little trepidation because the reviews had been up and down. I was greeted by friendly staff and given a menu, and I ordered a coffee drink. The breakfast menu is quite limited, but my chorizo burrito was delicious. The staff were quite friendly and wonderful, and the place is very interesting to look at. I was there as they opened, so it was quiet, but I hear it gets much busier a little later in the morning. Overall, I would say I'm optimistic about it maturing and evolving and becoming a great place to go to breakfast. read more

We finally made it to The Modesto Silos. This place is really cool! A lot of nostalgia here! I really enjoyed The Silos Burger! The burger comes with cheese and fries on the side. Both were delicious. My wife had the Fajita Quesadilla that she also enjoyed. We both had ice water and I had a Silos Mexican Amber. We will be coming back to try other menu items. The service here was excellent. read more

5- isn't enough for this place! Went for a coffee date with the hubs and our Chihuahua. Penny had the pup-cup and was lovingly welcomed! Hubs had the "Silos Ices Oatmilk Shaken Espresso," 2-thumbs up! I had their Cortado..... ¡muy delicisoso! So much to see there in the architecture... my eyes roamed the interior during our whole visit. The staff is AMAZING and so welcoming...instantly felt like family. Looks to be a fab venue site, as well. Can't wait to come back for breakfast and dinner with friends and fam. Great job, Silos! Wishing you alllll the best! read more

Silas in Modesto has such a special and unique vibe! The restaurant is built into converted silos, and the industrial structure gives the space a distinctive character. They've transformed the rounded walls and open layout into something trendy, stylish, and welcoming, making it feel completely different from anywhere else in the area. We came in as a group for Sunday brunch, I had the huevos rancheros and a taco de asada. Both dishes were delicious and full of flavor. The huevos rancheros were hearty and satisfying, with perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful salsa, and fresh toppings including avocado. The tacos de asada were also delicious, with tender, well-seasoned meat and tasty toppings that made every bite enjoyable. Jayden Ann was our waiter, and she was really nice, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. In general, everyone was very friendly. To me customer service is as important as the food and I have to say the service was amazing from beginning to end, making our experience even better. After brunch, we moved over to the bar, which has a more intimate vibe and upscale feel, with warm lighting, polished finishes, and beautiful decor. Artwork is incorporated throughout the space. The main character was an amazing white "Dragon" floating at the bar and the classy furniture gives it a comfortable yet refined atmosphere. There's even a cute little VIP seating area that adds to the sense of exclusivity without feeling too formal. Between the converted silo setting, thoughtful design, flavorful food, and excellent service, Silas is such a fun and unique addition to Modesto. We are definitely coming back to for dinner next time! read more

Sunday brunch with family enjoying the variety of the menu between traditional American and Mexican dishes. Loved the option to have breakfast or lunch because our group had different desires for food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming to us. We were surprised to learn this restaurant is open seven days a week from 8am to 9pm. My highlights were the green Chilaquiles with eggs over easy. The signature expreso cafes were delicious too. read more

My friends and I wanted to check out this place if just for the uniqueness of the space. Cool venue! We came for dinner and sat inside. It was warm and not too comfortable. The entrance did seem a little confusing but a hostess came to seat us. Our party had the blackened salmon and ribeye and we enjoyed it very much. It was tasty and well presented. For dessert we shared the churros and the chocolate cake. Both were delicious; nothing too special or different though. My friend had the spritz to drink and she liked it enough as it was refreshing. Staff personable and attentive and a man (probably owner, manager or chef????) checked in with us to see how our meals and experience was. I'd like to come back for breakfast/brunch. This place has a lot of potential so I'm excited to see how it improves. read more

The husband and I came here on a date night. The ambiance is incredible. It reminded me of a place that would be in NYC downtown. The drinks were great, the food, out of this world. The menu is still growing, and I can't wait to come back to try the other items. The owner came over and introduced himself, which was awesome! I ordered the fajita quesadilla. It was so good that I ordered one to go lol! All of the servers and workers were SO accommodating! Our server was Tori and she was awesome!!! She has an amazing personality and is a perfect fit for that place! As a former bartender and restaurant manager, I would be proud to have her work for me. Definitely mixed reviews & a lot of hesitation on the "Soft Opening" We came around noonish on a Saturday, told the hostess we did not have reservations, she told us our wait would be about 15 mins, ok that's fine, so we sat at the bar & was acknowledged by bartender, who gave us menus. Once he had given us the menus he never returned to ask us if we wanted anything. I had to stop him to ask for waters & told him we were waiting for our table, at which time he told us there was a table behind us that was empty from the moment we walked in. He said I don't know why she (the hostess) didn't know that. What a waste of time! We sat at the table, looking over the menu, approximately 20 minutes later get a phone call our table was ready. We ordered chilaquiles & Huevos Rancheros, specifically told the waitress no REFRIED BEANS on the Huevos Rancheros as we don't eat pork. I noticed a young man bring out our food to the couple at the bar. The bartender told the young man that the food was for us. He placed the plates on the table, I asked him for some utensils at which time, he took his bare hands & got us the proper utensils w/ no napkins. Chilaquiles was pretty good, the Huevos Rancheros had REFRIED BEANS, we told our waitress who politely showed us she wrote on our order NO REFRIED BEANS. She apologized & took the meal back & several minutes later returned w/ a new meal by then I had finished my meal. She didn't charged us for either meals. I am hoping staffing gets better & proper training as I believe there is potential at the new establishment & they can learn & grow from the SOFT OPENING. read more

Absolute joke. Walked in, zero acknowledgement from the staff, no hello, no welcome in. Approached the first person we saw and had the most obtuse conversation of my life. I just wanted to be told where to go to eat and she couldn't even offer that. A kinder staff person came and sat us only for us to sit for nearly ten minutes without being acknowledged even though the table next to us was being served. Mind you, this is after we were told there was no food available other than appetizers (or bites as they call them) after 2pm, despite dinner being listed as available after 2pm. What a joke. Get your acts together. read more

Go here!! My family and I will definitely be back. Everything about this place was on point. From the greeting upon arrival to being seated with no wait. All the ladies working were so beautiful, great personality and very nice to my family. They answered our menu questions and were constantly checking on us. The food was great thanks to the cooks! Iced coffee was so good and Nutella martini was the best!! Music playlist was giving and was the cherry on top for the whole experience. The people that gave 1 star are haters. Definitely 10 outta 10. Can't wait to go back read more

There were so many issues. It wasn't a good experience. There's no established sequence of service & they were out of many menu items. After 45 minutes of waiting on our drinks we ended up cancelling them and leaving. There was a manager at the bar shmoozing with his friends and other patrons while his servers were running around with their heads on fire. The ambiance is the only thing it has going for it at this time, but beware, there's no air conditioning inside. read more

I came up with some friends from LA and this place was such a gem. The ambiance and environment of the place is very cool but still chill. Everyone who assisted us was so kind and helpful. They answered any questions we had about the menu and were very considerate about our time here. We came for breakfast and the food was so good. The chilaquiles were honestly so perfect. The portions were enough and could possibly feed two people! I would totally come back and I highly suggest for anyone to stop by. read more

I went here recently with my parents and forgot to leave a review. My dad ordered the Silos Burger while my mom had the fajita quesadillas (while this one is in the quick bites section, the portion size was generous and filling enough for my mom). I ordered the filet mignon and had a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were alright, but the filet mignon was extremely tender and juicy. My parents also enjoyed their food. I would definitely return for the filet mignon alone. I gave a four only because I wish that they had more side options, but their smaller menu is done well. The service was pretty good, it didn't take a long time for them to get our orders and I didn't have to wait that long for water refills. I think the building is really cool, very industrial but modern looking. It was a bit loud there on a Thursday night so keep that in mind if you want to take someone older who might have difficulty hearing who would be bothered by the noise level. I enjoyed the Silos for my birthday dinner. read more

It has a great setting at this place but the service is horrible. When I see 5 employees huddled together at the entrance laughing and joking while customers are needing refills or are ready to order it definitely tells me and other patrons they aren't paying attention to the most important thing. We stopped by the Modesto Silos during their soft opening, and it was such a lovely experience. Soft openings always have a few bumps, but what stood out most was how genuinely attentive and welcoming the staff was. They had already run out of cocktail menus, but our server didn't miss a beat. She happily walked us through every cocktail option from memory, and her enthusiasm made it easy to decide. We shared the asparagus and the Brussels sprouts. The asparagus was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. The Brussels sprouts were good, though I think they could use just a little more zing. But considering this was a soft opening, that's exactly the kind of fine-tuning you'd expect. I'm already looking forward to coming back for dinner to try their entrées. Our server also raved about their morning strawberry matcha, saying it's "over the moon," so that's definitely on my list for my next visit. Congratulations to the team on a great start--I can't wait to see this place settle into its stride! read more

Service was terrible. It was so hot out that our water got warmer I see got warm. Our server neighbor came back and said, do you want more drinks? We had to ask for ice to put it in our drinks. Just left Modesto Silos today (8/9/26). We've noticed that consistency varies depending on who is in the kitchen. During their second week open, we had an incredible burger--stacked with fresh ingredients and bacon--and fantastic fries. Hands down, it was the best in Modesto. Unfortunately, today felt like a completely different chef was on duty. Both the burger and the portion of fries were noticeably smaller and taste and freshness changed and didn't match the quality of our first visit. Hoping they can nail down the consistency, because when it's good, it's unbeatable. So we asked what changed and they said that they had a different chef, they said the second week of the opening they had a different chef that wasn't there today. Consistency matters!!! read more

This place is just odd, Really disorganized and the staff is not friendly except for to who they know. We never got food so I don't know how it taste our table was dirty. I couldn't figure out how a place that had maybe 8 customers was so overwhelmed and it felt crowded, We went to Cool Hand Luke's got the good food a drinks we won't be coming back to the Silos read more

We tried to give this place a chance, but the experience was incredibly disorganized. We sat there for over 10 minutes without any service at all. A waitress made eye contact with us twice and literally walked right past us both times without acknowledging us. At that point, we decided to leave. The menu wasn't particularly exciting either, so there wasn't much reason to stick around and wait. We ended up going to Camp 4 instead, and honestly, it was the better decision. Too bad, because this place seems to have potential, but with service that disorganized, I'm not sure how it's going to last. read more

Love the location and history of The Silos. Service was fantastic, and everyone was super friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the culinary direction feels completely uninspired. The blackened salmon came paired with mango salsa and mashed potatoes, which felt like a zero-effort, bizarre combination. The Silo Burger was equally underwhelming and low effort. Everything felt like a default decision by someone who didn't know any better. On top of that, the décor feels like an odd mix of brutalism filled with cheap modern fixtures. It's a great addition to Modesto in concept, but more effort needs to be put into working out the kinks and menu while they are in their soft opening. read more

The reason for the 2 start review was due to the lack of options for the "lunch" menu. All they have at the moment are "bites" like wings and nachos. So since there weren't many options that's all we ordered and the nachos were made with canned nacho cheese, very noticeable and disappointing flavor. The wings were excellent. Secondly, I ordered an Espresso Martini which I had to unfortunately send back, the bartender said they didn't have the correct ingredients so he made it with something else, if I would have known that, I would have chosen something else to drink, instead I was served a drink that tasted nothing like an espresso martini and tasted horrible. On our way out of the restaurant, we noticed other customers were able to order items off of their dinner menu such as hamburgers and sandwiches, when we had asked our server, he said that we were only able to order off of the "bites" menu, so we had asked the manager who was at the front of the restaurant while leaving if we were able to order other items and she said yes, so she said that our server didn't know that we were allowed to do that so they are obviously having communication issues. The service on the other hand was great and they very very attentive, that atmosphere is very welcoming! We are just overall disappointed because we have heard excellent things about their dinner menu, so the next time we come we will do dinner and not lunch. Also as a side note, it isn't very kid friendly, there are no items on any of their menus that accommodate children. read more
