Previous Experience: We hired DL Design Construction last…read moreyear to completely renovate the exterior of our home with James Hardie siding, including windows, light fixtures, and all new electrical with an all new panel. Dimitry and his team exceeded our expectations so much so that we rehired them to build us not one, but two storage sheds. But did they really build us the storage sheds we wanted? Why Rehire? We had one previous storage shed. You know the one that everyone has. The so called Tuff Shed, in reality wasn't so tuff. It was falling apart. It was seated on cinder blocks that weren't stable or sturdy. There were gaps in between the doors and we wanted something more secure and airtight from dust and critters. Especially the smell. You know what i'm talking about if you've had one. We also wanted something more purposeful, and something that would have longevity. So we shopped around looking at Tuff Sheds from Home Depot & Lowes, but quickly realized that they were similar to what we all ready had just with a bit more bandages. We knew within a very short period of time these sheds were going to fail miserably from their design and cheap building material. So we picked up the phone and called Dimitry at DL Design who we TRUST. The Build: After discussing our requests with Dimitry his team went to work. Heres a brief breakdown of the work they did: They tore down the old shed, poured two concrete pads including a walkway leading up to the shed (that we just love). They anchored the shed down to the strong concrete pad, which practically made it tornado proof. They built the frame with precision and excellent craftsmanship. Insulated it so i can store more temperature regulated items. They sheathed the frame with plywood on the exterior as well as the interior. Then wrapped it with a water barrier paper. They installed several windows to help control temperature and bring in natural lighting. They installed a sturdy door with lock and key, which helped secure it, as well as prevent dust and insects from entering in. Unlike the prefab ones that have gaps and fall apart due to water intrusion and warping from sunlight. They finished the inside & outside with the best siding material out on the market, the James Hardie fiber cement siding. They also painted it from inside and outside with high quality paint. And not to fail to mention they installed electrical with an interior ceiling light and 3 outlets. You thought I was done, but i'm not. They also installed 3 custom gutters to help direct water away from the structures. The Upside: With these two new "sheds" we can utilize this space for so many purposes such as a new office space or even a gym. We can store things in there that we could never store in any new prefab shed out there. Such as food as an extra pantry, clothing such a transferring winter wardrobe from summer wardrobe. Storing blankets, towels, bed sheets, and not worry about things smelling like it came out of a shed. We no longer need to worry about bugs or critters getting to our valuables or moving in underneath the crawlspace making a din, since the "shed" is sealed airtight from all around. Why Hire DL Design Construction? Why I love to hire DL Design Construction? Because Dimitry is a great contractor. He combines technical expertise with, honesty, effective communication, and strong organization to deliver on time and within budget. He provided me with all the details, he's transparent, he provides written estimates, he managed subcontractors effectively, he's keen on keeping the job site tidy. He works hard on maintaining clear communication throughout the project. I am so thankful to the work his team has done to our property. Their craftsmanship is excellent. With each board cut to precision, and every nail driven in the correct position. They have exceeded our expectations yet again. So did they really build us a "shed"? No, they built for us something that exceeded our expectations in every way. Only Hire Reputable Sources: DL Design Construction has a solid reputation anyone should trust. This was my second time hiring them and they exceeded all expectations. They have a team of honest individuals about their capabilities and project timelines. They listen to your needs and answer questions promptly, and maintain regular, transparent updates. They offer detailed written estimates create realistic schedules, and ensure the job site is safe and organized. They have proven experience strong project management skills, and a network of reliable subcontractors. They are proactive, adaptable, and see challenges as opportunities for solutions, ensuring the project stays on track. They take pride in their work, focusing on high-quality results rather than just cutting corners, and are always showing enthusiasm for the project.

The communication was excellent--they were responsive, listened carefully to our needs, and took the time to understand what we were looking for. Their professionalism throughout the estimate process was appreciated. However, their pricing came in higher than other quotes we received, which is why we decided to go in a different direction. I can't speak to the quality of their work since we didn't hire them, but based on our interactions, they seem like a solid option if their pricing aligns with your budget. If you're getting multiple estimates, they're worth including in your comparison--just be prepared that they may be on the higher end.

I met with Kurt for the initial estimate and he was great in pointing out the kind of work that needed to be done and took the time to answer all of my questions. Once I made the decision to go with 3 Generations, I started working with Jeremy who went the extra mile to meet me at my work to sign the paperwork and select the type of siding for the house. We signed the paperwork in the late Fall, which is a busy time for them but Jeremy was always up front with their estimated timing, which I really appreciated. Once the work started, the job was completed pretty quickly. Again, Jeremy and his crew were very communicative and kept me updated on the status of the work until it was done. They also fixed some plywood dry rot and installed new plywood as well as correcting some roof deck problems in addition to all of the siding replacement. I've included some pictures the old siding, which was cracked and loose as well some pictures of the new siding to show the improvement. From my experience, I would recommend 3 Generations Improvements for any siding or repair work you may need!

Jonathan was the main face of the company with whom I worked. He coordinated the work, worked with me on pricing, and was always easy to contact, responsive and polite. I would definitely hire them again for any future major projects.

I knew this wasn't good, as fungus means moisture and dead stuff (old wood). Thankfully this isn't a "M word" story (mold). But anyone would be concerned by a weird intrusion like this so I had Good Life come out and check it out. I had been dealing with real estate recently, and I was somewhat familiar with Good Life for home inspections so I gave them a shot at this repair. Project Manager Eugene arrived with one of the construction crew and they explained what they could do to assess the problem. We scheduled them to come out and pull off some drywall and do a moisture test. The next day they were able to confirm that water was getting into the wall from a part of the outside stucco and had caused extensive dry rot down to the studs. Obviously, this is where it sounds expensive. Eugene explained in detail what needed to be done to repair the damage and to prevent a future leak. He emailed me a detailed repair with a reasonable estimate, including an up front discussion on change orders that may need to be made. I approved the estimate online and felt confident that the guys knew what they were doing. Over the next week or so the crew from Good Life worked efficiently and professionally to remove the old stucco, wood and insulation and treat the fungus affected area which about 10 feet high by 8 feet wide on the exterior. Eugene called or updated me on the daily progress in-person and was very professional. The crew was Ukrainian and spoke some English along the way but Eugene and a couple others explained everything clearly. After a couple of detailed change orders the crew put the front of the house back together with fresh wood, insulation, stucco and a brick veneer that looked especially challenging. I was very impressed with the crew's versatility in how those guys were able make the house look the same down to the paint and the landscaping that was in front. Good Life did great work and made my house look good as new. They worked quickly and effectively and left a very clean result inside and outside. The cost was a good value for the amount of work I saw completed and the attention to detail. I would definitely call Good Life again for repairs, but hopefully we're done with anything at this level. Great job guys.

The sales representative, Gary Lee, came out to my house and brought many samples of the windows choices and hardware accessories. So convenient! Gary was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained the technology of the windows and the various options that were available. He was not a high-pressured salesman at all, which I appreciated. Gary patiently explained the lifetime warranty. So after obtaining estimates from 3 different window companies, I ended up selecting Gary with CECS. A couple weeks later, my windows were installed. They're beautiful and I love them! Fast forward 14 years later, I called Gary back because I was having an issue with a couple of windows that weren't latching. Gary very graciously came out personally after all these years and took care of the problem. He had to remove the windows to make adjustments, which resolved the problem on both windows. Gary also used a dry silicone spray, which enabled all my windows to glide so smoothly when opened and closed. He also made a couple other adjustments and my windows feel like they're brand new again. I'm so grateful to Gary for coming out and repairing/resolving the issue with my windows. He never made me feel like he was being inconvenienced - he acted as though it was a pleasure to help me! In addition to the great customer service and support I always receive from Gary, Im grateful that he always removes his shoes at my entrance, without being asked! This may not be a big deal for some people, but I appreciate it and I know most people would. Thanks so much, Gary! I so appreciate you going above and beyond! Over the years, I have recommended CECS to my neighbors on my local Nextdoor app as a result of my positive experience with Gary at CECS.

We had an extensive exterior remodel done to our 70+ year old house. We worked with Ruslan and Gabe as the project managers while Nazer, Eric, and Jacob were the crew that did most of the exterior work. Edward and Vaska did the painting. Nazer and his crew were prompt every working day and they WORKED from morning to closing time. It was July/August and HOT but the guys worked with no complaints. Every step of the way, Ruslan, Gabe, and Nazer kept us in the loop and addressed every question or gripe we had. Every day, Nazer and his guys helped set up our dog fencing to keep our dogs out of their work area and would help break it down in the afternoon. They CLEANED the job site EVERY working day. Nails, screws, scraps, dust, etc was all cleaned up. Six months later......heat, cold, rain, wind.....everything is holding up great. The fit and finish of everything is excellent. We whole-heartedly recommend All Sides for any renovations you might need!
