At another gym, I was being pushed to buy long term memberships and their expensive gi/ uniform. I never got those feelings with Daruma. Everyone has been super kind and supportive. The Milpitas location is still a relatively new (as of 2026) so some of the adult classes have a smaller turnout. This can be really good for people just starting in the sport, but I personally just like to roll. My step son also started Daruma with me and he loves it. The class structure is very fun and the coaches are really good about watching out for the kids safety.
