Hands down best salon in the burbs! I have been going here for years and have zero complaints. The first salon I've been to where I actually enjoy my time spent there AND love my nails when I walk out! My nails are always perfect, I go every 3 weeks to Kate. Pedicures are amazing, I usually go to Olga or Mari but I have tried other techs and was never disappointed with any of them. Oh and everyone at the salon speaks English! The place is popular so I definitely recommend making an appointment (which is super easy since you get to speak to someone in English!). Give this place a shot - you won't regret it. read more

I made an appointment this morning, January 5th for 2:30p.m. with Julia. I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted by a woman at the reception area who instructed me to wash my hands and pick a color. After doing this, I sat myself at the front and waited a couple minutes. Another woman, who was doing someone's nails called my name and asked me to sit at Julia's station. I could see that Julia was finishing up another woman's pedicure. I didn't mind waiting a few minutes. I sat at Julia's station for over a half hour, completely unnoticed by everyone except another patron. There were two another nail technicians to each side of me who either didn't notice me or didn't care to tell Julia I had been sitting there for over half an hour. After 3p.m. I decided it was ridiculous and I decided to leave. On my way out, I saw Julia servicing another woman at the pedicure area. I was very confused, because the salon is currently appointment only due to COVID. As an assistant manager at a salon myself, this is a complete oversight and really upset me to allow a customer to sit at a tech's station for a half hour. Did they double book her or take a walk in? Not tell her I was sitting there? No one even cared I walked out. I really liked Julia's work before and always tipped well. I guess my patronage doesn't matter to this business. They lost a customer today and I will tell others not to bother with their salon, since they don't honor appointments or your valuable time. read more

I have been to this salon in the past 2-3 times and liked it a lot. Today I made an appointment to come in at 3pm with my sister. they told us that we might have to wait a few minutes but when they said that I figured maybe five minutes. my sister got seen pretty much right away but the woman did half of her nails and then left her to start another client while she sat there for 30 minutes waiting. I sat there waiting for 35 MINUTES. There were multiple people who came in AFTER me who got seen right away. When I made my appointment I even said I could come later and they still told me to come at 3o'clock. I left and my sister was sitting there waiting for someone to do her nails and then when someone finally did, she cut her cuticles to the point where she was bleeding, and then she was left AGAIN and waiting another 15 minutes. honestly really not worth the money unless you are a regular there**, obviously. Overall just a really bad experience and I will not be coming back here, wasted my whole afternoon. read more

Modern Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Richboro, Pennsylvania

Love this salon! I started coming here in August for my acrylics and they've been perfect every time. Staff is personable and helpful, and I love coming here. read more

Went here on a recommendation from a friend but not a good choice. My whole reason for going was so my nails would look nice and have a small Mickey design on the ring fingers for an upcoming Disney vacation. I conveyed this to the tech and showed her a picture and she said no problem. Got the dip and specified I wanted it done very thin, as I do not like thicker looking nails. It came out thick, I asked her to thin it out and she seemed bothered. She tried although it was clear that she did not want to make it right but it still looks pretty bad. Then at the very end she tells me that she's not really good with designs So there goes that! I won't be back again. I still tipped her because I'm a nice person, but she was undeserving of one. read more

I would give zero stars if possible I'm a regular customer that comes in every 3-4 weeks to get dip powder. I was in Tuesday and had a woman do my nails and charge me 42$ when I normally pay 35$.. I didn't question it because I know she did some extra marbling and did some gold press stuff. when I got home I noticed the dip powder began to peel back and as soon as I noticed I called and spoke to the OWNER Kate. she told me to come in now ( Tuesday when they were done) but I expressed I couldn't but I would be in the following day ( Wednesday). When I went in (Wednesday)I was greeted by the man at the front desk (Seth)and he told me to fix the nails it would be an additional charge of around 5$. The 5$ isn't an issue. what is an issue is that i was there yesterday for almost 2 hours ( time was extended because she messed every nail up with the electric file and had to redo it) and I paid 50$.. I would understand the additional 5$ charge if I was there a week ago but a day ago.. come on be genuine. After being told I was going to be charge extra which was very frustrating being that I am a returning customer and was just in the previous day, I walked out. The next day being today( Thursday ) i called the salon to speak to Kate again because she wasn't in the salon during the time i came back. when i spoke to Kate she was very abrupt, rude and disrespectful.. I've never seen that side of her. she barely gave me a second to talk and was jumping and coming to conclusions before i could even say my piece and was only willing to refund the 5$ she thought i paid on Wednesday which i did not pay because i found it to be ridiculous that i would have an additional fee to get a nail fixed when it already chipped not even 24 hours after i left the salon. I spoke to MULTIPLE of Kate's clients and they found it shocking and pitiful that somebody would charge to fix a nail that was ruined not even 24 hours after being done. shame on the staff of modern nails and the owner. I will NEVER step foot in that salon again... not to be treated the way I was. There are plenty of nail salons in the area ( 3 surrounding modern) so I would advise everybody to not even waste your money and just go somewhere else where the staff values their customers ‍ read more

Save your money and go on a trip instead! My daughter and I had a very bad experience here. We waited more than a half hour with an appointment. The gentleman receptionist was rude and unapologetic! When we said we had an appointment more than a half hour ago, he said they were running behind! Our pedicure was rushed and not personalized at all. I've had other pedicures that were 10 times better and cost half as much. Would not recommend this place at all! read more

This nail Salon is under new management and it couldn't be better!! All of the staff members are wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Their gel and polish selection is great! They have new colors and take great care of them. Make sure you make an appointment though because if you just walk in you tend to have to wait a bit. read more

The nail artists are fantastic. My issue is that every time I make an appointment, I am waiting at least 35 minutes...every, single, time. It's frustrating and no one seems to be bothered...just tell me there is a wait when I get there. read more

One of the best manicures I've ever received for 2/3 the price of other similar places locally. Davi took extra care to make sure no polish got on my skin (I keep my nails really short) and we worked together to find a different polish when the original one I chose was not going on evenly. I appreciate that rather than applying it anyway and having it be lumpy (which I've had done elsewhere) she decided it was better to stop and start over with a similar color. Polish application was to perfection. I'll definitely be back! read more

if you live in the bucks county area. just save yourself a lot of tears and come to this nail heaven. nice people. amazing work. boom.

Clean and bright. Really pleasant and prices are reasonable. The pedi was amazing. Love the hot stone finish. My mani lasted 2 weeks no chips. I am going back next week. read more

Decided to try someplace new and stopped in here this past weekend. Nice salon, clean, great selection of polishes, overall a good experience. I left loving my gel manicure. Now, here we are a few days later and the polish is peeling off of EVERY SINGLE ONE of my nails. I've been getting gel done for years and this has never happened to me....ever. Not sure if the girl missed a step, if there was an issue with the lights or maybe they weren't cured long enough..either way I won't be back. This experience was enough for me to find another salon. read more

Sad to say, but my first time at Modern Nails was an underwhelming experience. I had chosen this salon based on the mostly positive reviews when looking for a local nail salon to take my three daughters to for a fun Mother's Day outing. Made an appointment for the four of us but they only had three chairs available for pedicures when we got there, so one daughter had to awkwardly stand around. To make matters worse, only one employee made herself available to us and began working on my nails while my daughters just sat there. Not a pleasant experience. When someone finally came around to work with them, they were terribly rushed through both their manicures and pedicures. There were chips in two daughters' nails, which they fixed, but they should not have been there in the first place. In general, we did not feel cared for and particularly my three daughters felt rushed and poorly served. Perhaps because of their age the employees thought they didn't have to try as hard? After spending a lot of money that day on manicures and pedicures for all of us, I would have hoped for much better customer service! I do know that I won't be back and would not recommend this establishment. read more

my absolute favorite place to get my nails done! everyone here is so sweet and my nails look amazing every time! never a complaint from me and my friends when we come! read more

Nothing special. I had a well need pedicure. My girl was nice but quick. Nice place but been to better. Thought I'd give them a try.

ZERO STARS***TOE GOT INFECTED***DO NOT GO HERE*** I went to this nail salon for a pedicure and the young female nail tech doing my pedicure cut the skin on my toe. Two days later my toe was swollen, red, painful, and had green pus coming out of it!!! When I went back to the salon to talk to the owner she said it could happened anywhere! She was not sympathetic or caring regarding the situation. I feel this is very bad customer service and practice as an owner of an establishment. I had to go on oral antibiotics for the infection and the owner acted like it was no big deal. I will NEVER go back to this salon and hope this review warns others not to either! read more

LOVE this place. Katie is the best. The way she does nails is like no where I have ever been to before.

I came to this salon when the owner first started and she wasn't busy. My nails always looked beautiful . As the salon got busier she no longer had time for me. My waiting when I would get there for an appointment was at least a 1/2 hour. Then my nails started to look really bad because she would rush to get me done to take her favorite customers . I recommended a lot of people to her but we all left to be treated better for the money we pay ... I don't recommend this salon . read more

Very poor customer service, as well as lacking manicurist skills (wondering what kind of training they get, if any). I felt invisible, no eye contact, treated me as if I was an inanimate object. However, to be fair I did notice an older Asian lady who was very friendly and nice to her customers. The two younger girls who did my nails need to take customer service lessons from her. I asked to have my cuticles trimmed and they said "Later, after paint", which worried me but I felt like I could not argue. The girl who did my nails was aggressive and manhandled my hands. She passed me off to another girl after she applied the gel color, who then cut my cuticles and proceeded to file my nails including the top coat of my thumb. What?!? I had to have her reapply the top coat. Once I left I had to keep filing my own nails as the corners and back of my nails were not smoothed out and kept snagging on fabrics. Never again! read more

I gave this nail salon a try after having a bad experience with them a few years ago. I went a few weeks ago and things were average, nothing bad nor good to say. However, I went again for a second time. It was the worst salon experience I've ever had. I was getting just a refill on my nails, and it was a 30 minute wait. I don't mind waiting, but I was helped by a woman who was miserable. She kept pulling on my hands and moving my fingers, it was such an uncomfortable experience. Then, she got mad because I asked to have my nails cut down, when I was supposed to tell her before she started... I was so angry during the entire interaction and my nails did not look nearly as good as they usually do from other salons. She finished doing my nails in about 20 minutes, which I don't even know how that is possible (she left out a ton of things that other salons do). I get my nails done every 3 weeks and I will DEFINITELY not be returning to Modern Nails. With all of the other nail salon options in the area, this is the last one you should go to. If I could give it 0 stars I would. read more
