Got a pedi, mani, and waxing from this place. It was a decent pedi mani for a decent price. I like the convenience of this place because it's close to my house. I was able to make an appointment right away. I got gel on my fingernails and it lasted awhile before chipping. It's definitely a busy little place. The owner seemed friendly as did everyone there. The waxing was pretty good, but I didn't like that they charged $5 for every patch on my face. Usually when I get a chin wax, that covers the sides of my chin and under my chin. This estalishment does not adhere to appointments made, will turn you away or rescheduled you. Technicians; Cathy & Vicky are prejudice of Thai and Mexicans. I was questioned if I was from Thailand. I informed that I am hispanic, born in the USA. They informed me this was not so, as Mexicans are not skinny, but overweight. How appalling and disgusting! My skin color should not matter or me being under weight due to a medical condition. Customers should not be questioned on their sex, race, weight or counrty of origin. Clean and organized shop space with updated massage chairs (5) and manicure tables (6). The prices were reasonably what you'd expect around town. We did not have an appointment but were seated immediately for two gel pedicures. Very friendly service, good selection of gel nail polish colors, and we were done within the hour despite there being 6 other customers actively having services done as well! They put this blue stuff in the water and then you put your feet in. They do use clean tools every time so that is good as they use one of those machines that clean You have to try the massage chair, does not have heat but sure does massage your back. Of course, I'm the only bad review. Makes me wonder if they deleted all the bad ones! I went in to get my wedding nails done (which the workers were aware of).The young chick that works there absolutely half- assed my nails! I asked for acrylic nails. When she started my nails I could till she was rushing and just didn't care, I felt rushed and in the wrong for coming in. As I was leaving, my nails looked like they were already grown out, They were so crooked when I pointed straight, my nail was pointing to the right. Plus, my nails were so clump and bumpy I was embarrassed to let people see my hands. When tipping her, she said, " If you need anything fixed, come in and I'll fix it. When she said that, I knew that she was aware she had messed them up very badly. It was my wedding and she f-up my hands that badly. Why would she care for a non - formal set of nails. Very very pleased with this place. I came in a hot mess , I have a new baby and my poor nails were falling apart from washing my hands so much. Cindy did a wonderful job with my broken short nails , my skin feels nice and soft now and my toes look fantastic as well. This place is not my usual place for a manicure, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I am a creature of habit and when my regular place for nails was unexpectedly closed, I choose to venture into Modern Nails. The place is very clean that was my first impression of this place. I should've have know by the non-existent clientele that something was off but again desperate measures. I picked my color, and the lady working on me started and from the beginning her hands were shaking, first thought was great a noobie or anxiety driven individual. The gel polish was uneven, I had to repeatedly tell her to go over certain nails to even the color out. When it came to paying I kindly told them that the job was not well done and I asked for a discount. They offered 2 dollars off!!! REALLY for a 10 finger bad job. Pshhhhh the little man started to raise his voice, well I remained calm and finally said fine as I didn't want to waste another minute in there. Paid and left. Don't recommend this place at all. The worst 25 dollars that I have ever spent in my life. And my nails will now look horrible for a special banquet that I have tomorrow! Grrrrr read more

They learn your name, what you like, and treat everyone so well. Their work is amazing. It's the only place I ever found that can properly backfill acrylics, and after 10 weeks, I haven't lost a nail yet! I always get compliments on my nails and feet. The lady actually used a FINE file, and she did the most full service police change ever! For $5.50! I went in to have my gel changed and my experience was not good. The lady working on me got polish ALL over my skin! On my cuticles, under my nails and above my cuticle area. First off, if I could give them 0 stars, I would. I came in with my sister to get a mani and pedi. I got gel on my finger nails and they chipped the next day. When I came in to get my refund after calling about the issue, they refused to give back my money. All I wanted was a refund on the gel, which was $15 (their price board states that it should have been $5). I spent half an hour arguing with the owner and she didn't want to refund me because "the nail tech that worked on [me] is not here to refund [me] and I'll have to give you money out of my own pocket." This is a business and, regardless of working off of commission, my refund should not come out of anyone's personal pocket. On top of all of this, she and the other nail tech in the shop were conversing in a different language while I was talking to her. It was not professional and made me uncomfortable because I had the feeling that they were talking negatively about me. read more
