We visited to celebrate my niece's 16th birthday, and unfortunately, what should have been a memorable evening turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.
We understood the long wait to be seated because the restaurant was extremely busy, so we didn't let that bother us. However, once we were finally seated, everything else continued to go downhill. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot with very little air circulating, making it difficult to enjoy our meal.
The first red flag was that we were served drinking glasses with chips in the rims. That's a serious safety concern and something that should never happen.
When our food finally arrived, nearly all of it was cold. We informed our waiter, who took the meals back. It honestly seemed as though they were simply put in a microwave because they came back out still cold. Even more concerning, two people in our party ordered salads that were warm. Salads should never be warm, which makes me question how the ingredients were being stored. Our waters and other drinks also had little to no ice.
Service was just as disappointing. Our waiter forgot multiple items throughout the meal, and we had to repeatedly ask for things we had already requested. Some items never arrived at all. One meal was supposed to include a waffle, but it wasn't brought to the table until nearly 20 minutes after everyone else had already been served.
To make matters worse, when it came time to cut my niece's birthday cake, we asked for a knife. The manager brought us a dirty butcher knife. It was completely unacceptable, and yes, I have photos of the chipped glasses and the dirty knife.
After spending nearly four hours at the restaurant between waiting to be seated, waiting on cold food, and waiting for our checks, we spoke with the manager about everything that had gone wrong. The response we received was essentially, "I'm sorry, but hopefully you'll come back and let us redeem ourselves." That was it. No attempt to make things right, no discount, no gesture of goodwill, despite our table spending well over $300.
Everyone can have an off day, but this wasn't just one mistake. It was a series of problems involving food quality, cleanliness, service, and management's lack of accountability. A simple apology wasn't enough after an experience like this.
Sadly, my niece's birthday dinner was overshadowed by frustration and disappointment. This is not a restaurant I can recommend, and I'll be sure to share my experience with anyone considering dining here.
