I thought the gps was playing games with me, but the shop is actually attached to the car wash building on the side. Not sure how it is on a regular day, but all the coronavirus madness going on has the streets slightly empty. I was able to walk in and be helped in about 15 minutes. It is a very small establishment with only 3 chairs to service customers. At the time I went, there were only two barbers cutting hair. Although some would say they look scary or intimidating, these guys were super chill and fun to talk to. I've seen some of the reviews about people complaining that the wait is too long, and I can understand the frustration. Although there are very good reasons that you end up waiting awhile. The first being that the store is tiny and there's only a few barbers. The second and most important is that they actually take their time and do an outstanding job. Most salons will do a rushed job and get you in and out in a matter of minutes. So if you're looking for something quick and simple, look elsewhere. But if you don't mind sitting down for awhile and getting the best haircut you've had in a long time, then look no further than Manuel's Barbershop! They paid extra attention to detail. Barbers are super attentive, both while you are in the chair as well as offering bottled water while you wait (or to take one for the road). While waiting I saw various styles of differing lengths and everyone left satisfied. I am thrilled with my results and enjoyed not only the cut but the experience - their expertise and pride is undeniable and it was apparent that they value quality over volume! It's always been fine, just quite a bit slower than the local barber. This time, it did not turn out so well: I ended up with basically a number One on the sides and back but essentially a Zero up top. The sad part is that the presumably more experienced student who doubled checked it noticed a few things but did not call out the mistake. Too bad, coming here is not longer an option in the future.
