However, the character of this cabin lies with a mini-"museum" of the owner's amazing vintage collection: from a couple of rustic cars, colorful neon signs (two of which a can be lit during the evening for a breath-taking backdrop while star-gazing or doing your evening BBQ), decade old posters, antique furniture and two vintage trailers: it is like stepping back to another era! Beside the cabin is a small cottage whose walls are adorned with bottles of different hues that glow from the outside: what fine craftsmanship! In the backyard, there is a small dish plate with pet food, so you'll be amused to see wild birds and hares sharing the pellets. The place has glorious views of the mountains and the desert! Overall, the place is a feast for photographers and art lovers: a fusion of modern and vintage comforts, plus it is secluded enough for those who wanted to experience the serenity of the desert. The owner is professional, accommodating and courteous.

My friends and I really enjoyed our two night stay here. We stayed in the three bed/two bath home…read more The home was very cozy, clean, and comfortable with all necessary amenities. There was plenty of space to hang out, a full kitchen with fridge, a cowboy style pool, and a gas grill, if you're the type to make dinner yourself. They were very quick to respond to questions while we were there. While we didn't use their room service or fire pit, all of those things are a nice extra touch. It was also easy to let ourselves in and out with the automatic lock, so we never had to worry about keys or being locked out. I would stay here again if I were to go back! Lovely stay.

Man I wish I knew where I could write a review for others, but I went through booking and I'm not…read moresure how that works. So here I will explain and give my honest input. I planned to arrive earlier but I was late :( though it seemed like everyone was in bed already we had the nice host come up to us and guide us on checking in. He let us know that we are IN FACT able to park the car on the drive way close to the location so you don't have to carry your stuff to your spot.. designated parking in my opinion is actually very smart and very thoughtful because who wants to see a bunch of parked cars in such a nice view?! So I got the tiny home container.. and let me just say IT WAS THE BEST THING I HAD EVER DONE! I actually didn't know which one of the containers I booked but the one I got was the best one! Everything and I mean everything was included. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, AND ac!!!! The roof top? BEST FREAKING PART! Watching the sunset was amazing solo time. As well as watching all the stars you never get to see in the city. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Towels were provided, pillows and sheets. I mean these people thought of it all! They are very clear about their instructions and how they want things done upon checkout and it was smooth.. I guess my ONLY "thumbs down" would be the center pool. I personally liked it.. it's a shallow sit down cool down tub and it works for when you just want to dive and sun bathe. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say. I really enjoyed my stay. And if you're someone who doesn't go camping or even glamping, don't stay in a yurt? When it's hot it's HOT when it's cold it's COLD.. it's not rocket science. Choose wisely if you want to enjoy your stay and really unwind. Overall, I 150% will be back and stay here in case I need a moment to reset my brain.

JB (the owner) was so courteous and sweet. He prepared a map of wonderful destinations to be reached on foot from the studio and gave us such privacy during the entire weekend. It's incredibly quiet without neighbors for almost a half mile away, but only a fifteen minute walk into town. At night you can see every star in the sky and the breathtaking piled-up rock mountains are footsteps from your front door. I have two dogs--a pitbull and a poodle-mix--both who love to explore the outdoors and they loved every second of it. Ordinarily, we have a hard time finding a place that accepts dogs with open arms. It was such an added luxury to have them there. I highly recommend this place for couples or friends who want to relax and get away from the city's mania for a little. You can bring groceries and cook! There's also a really fun little backyard area with a fire pit to use and hang out by at night. The value for the money was totally worth it. It's a really special place. We're definitely going back again.

Pros: -A wonderful patio and courtyard for stargazing and barbecuing -The kitchenette is equipped with a good supply of cooking basics and basic kitchen supplies -The owner will give you all the information you need about the surrounding areas and there is a great supply of menus and flyers in the room from the area, including information about the park. Cons: -Its not completely private. It is mostly private (75/25?) but it is connected to the owners house and you get reminded of this occasionally hearing conversations or noises at night from that side. -After an ant issue (heat wave) the owner asked to come in one day which we agreed to, but on our last day we came home and found him coming out, which was not agreed upon. I kind of get it but you should always give a heads up. -The bed is not a mattress and box-spring combo but it is on wheels and springs which can make awful noise and is not very comfortable Summary; Beautiful location with great star viewing, Basic necessities covered in the studio, wish it were completely private with a different bed. Depending on the rate when we want to go we would be pretty likely to look in to staying again.
