    Worker

The service I had was unbelievable, these two rude workers should not be working at this job. When me and my partner were walking in to make an order to go, the worker in the first photo said they were not going to serve us because they had a "slow" day and decided to close up early. The website states it doesn't close until 10, if a is open until a certain time you would except to still be served and not be given a rude attitude, do people want to work for free now ? When asked for a manger and to get a number worker said he was the manger and they don't have a number. I think this was honestly the worst service ever and I would highly recommend for them to get a new job, if the cannot work the hours then they might as well find a new job that fits there schedule. I would like to be contacted and make sure this never happens again.

Made to order personal pizzas where you can pick and choose your toppings. You can also make salads and breadsticks. Prompt service wot respect. Open space for individuals or groups. Gender specific bathroom. Free parking next to other restaurants for many options if need be.

Can't go wrong when you're building your own pizza. Always hits the spot. Staff is also always very kind.

I like the concept of quick build your own pizzas and MODS does a good job. They have plenty of parking for their business. It wasn't busy when I went so it moved quickly. The staff was friendly but also seemed in a rush. I was ordering two pizzas and the worker automatically was going to make them identical even though I said ahead of time that they would be different. The worker put the same sauce on both when that is not what I wanted. They were able to fix it and start over to correct the mistake. They have plenty of options to choose from and you get as much as you'd like. The new plant based sausage is seasoned very well I enjoyed it. It's not a bad place to go if you want something quick to eat.

Visiting Mods pizza during the COVID-19 era is still a great experience. The restaurant follows COVID-19 guidelines by wearing masks and gloves. The pizza is a healthy treat. The fun part about this pizzeria is that one can choose what they would like on their pizza and salads. For example, there is gluten free cauliflower crust and/or vegan cheese for a topping. The option of ordering barbecue sauce on top of the pizza is another interesting choice. The pizza is fresh and is not greasy like some other pizzas.

No toppings or sauce at all

Did I order Jacks pizza. The lack of sauce and topping is unacceptable for the price. I would have been better buying 3 for 10 frozen pizza at Walmart than spend 33 dollars on three topin less and sauce less pizzas. It is very unfortunate since this is my first time trying mods pizza and it is not a good first impression.

    Drenched pizza

I ordered from door dash, asked for red sauce dollops. Idk what this is but it certainly isn't that. It's sweet and has seeds... very runny and DRENCHED all over my pizza. The other pizza in my order was perfect, red marinara sauce dotted onto the pizza. This is unacceptable. Pizza was inedible.

This place always satisfies! The pizza is amazing and the people here are great! Such a hip environment. The staff is super friendly, a employee named Frida, made the experience worthwhile despite my pizza order being delayed. Keep up the great work!

I love everything about this place. Amazing customer service, pizza is always amazing !!!!, but I completely lost my appetite today when I saw someone openly inside the restaurant without any type of shoes or pants!!!!

What should have been a "drizzle" turned out to be a deluge. Absolutely disgusting. I can't even eat it. I must have used 20 napkins to soak this balsamic glaze off the pizza. Very disappointing.

    What a great team.

No, this pizza was horrible. Pretty sure they're supposed to be sauce on that pie. Doesn't even make my top 20.

Great flavor, perfectly balanced toppings, and definitely something I'd order again. We also tried the wings. I'd probably skip those next time. The sauce was just okay, and the wings themselves weren't as crispy as you'd expect. They tasted more like frozen wings than fresh. If that doesn't bother you, you might be fine -- but they didn't stand out. Our waiter was attentive, and the overall vibe is classic Quonset -- the smell of pizza in the air, cold beer, and friendly staff. Solid spot for pizza, just maybe not the wings.

Never timed it but it doesn't ever seem like a long wait and the product is a landmark of consistency. 12", $13.50 now. $4.50-$5.50 in the late 1970's. I've lived around here in stretches now and again for 50+ years and this place is always the same as it was when I was in high school. For a small, independent bar-pizza joint, that's really impressive. But this place deserves some kind of a plaque. The small cheese pizza these folks put out today is photo-level consistent with what they put out in 1970. Ordinarily I would accept that I may have a little wishful brain fog about the crust and the sauce and the cheese being identical but that's also what I see when I look at comments. So, I may pick one up this afternoon. What's described as the cracker style crust holds up pretty well but it's still best all-around when eaten in the store. Haven't eaten one while sitting at the bar right after it came out of the oven in a long time but if I order it when I get there, 1 diet Pepsi later I'm walking out the door. That's pretty close.

While I consider myself a foodie, I had little interest in driving around the Waukegan area the night I visited Anastasia's. At first it appeared to be a great choice--myriad people in the bar area talking, eating, and reacting to the televised game. I ordered a glass of wine to start; the pour was rather skimpy. Tempted to order another, I realized a single glass was on the border of my daily alcohol per diem?! I decided to forgo the pizza special for wings and cheese curds. The resulting dishes provided a healthy amount (see picture), however, taste (as other Yelpers note) was average. When you rack up $55 for cheese curds, wings, and a glass of wine, AND you leave feeling 'meh'--for me, Anastasia's is an easy, "Well, I tried it..." experience. I think my next two visits for work will be branching out to the surrounding area for alternative dinner options.
