Overcooked, cold, and wrong ingredients. Do you see spinach on here anywhere?
Shawn L.

The pizza from Mike's Pizza is very good if you're fortunate enough to receive it accurately and hot. Two of my last three orders have been wrong and/or cold after being delivered more than 40 minutes after their stated delivery windows. Both with the same driver. Fortunately, I placed my orders through the Slice app so I can have a safeguard against what has been a rapid decline in service from Mike's pizza as of late. Tonight, pizza was ordered for a birthday celebration. It arrived almost an hour late and wrong, so I reached out to Slice chat support. They offered the option of a refund or replacement, and I chose refund because recent negative experiences with Mike's does not instill confidence in them doing the right thing. Slice followed up saying they could not authorize a refund because Mike's would not agree to it, but that Mike's would send out a replacement pizza. An hour and a half later, Mike's is closed and there's still no contact nor pizza. I contacted Slice again, who basically told me I was S.O.L. I called their contact number and explained the situation to the phone support person. 10 minutes later, I got notification of a refund. I had been ordering from Mike's for more than a year without issue, but all good things eventually come to an end. I'm not going to knock the quality of their pizza, but if you decide to order from them, I strongly recommend picking up your pizza yourself.

Best pizza ever!!! Every time I come home I have to stop by Mikes Pizza. Nothing compares to the taste and you can't beat the price.

It took over 2-hours to deliver this cold hot mess of a dinner. Unsatisfactory on every level.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Funniest yet most tragic thing about this is that my number and address were blacklisted following this order and they won't deliver to me any longer. Even funnier is how much of a loyal customer I have remained at another of their establishments. My favorite pizza in town, & this is the gratitude.

I grew up eating Mikes and honestly nothing can replace those flavors! Crispy, hot and so flavorful. Whenever I visit home I know I'm ordering Mikes. They will also customize your pizza to your liking so don't hesitate to ask and always pick up your order so you get it at its freshest. You can't beat the prices or the family ambiance. Highly recommend!

The Garbage Pizza is the bomb. It is loaded with ingredients. It is spicy, but we like it that way.

Really greasy & bad customer service. Management does not care about it. I will not spend my hard working money on them.

Great flavor, perfectly balanced toppings, and definitely something I'd order again. We also tried the wings. I'd probably skip those next time. The sauce was just okay, and the wings themselves weren't as crispy as you'd expect. They tasted more like frozen wings than fresh. If that doesn't bother you, you might be fine -- but they didn't stand out. Our waiter was attentive, and the overall vibe is classic Quonset -- the smell of pizza in the air, cold beer, and friendly staff. Solid spot for pizza, just maybe not the wings.

I live near here and get a small cheese to go several times a month…read more I may not be there at peak times but for me it's always better to walk in and order and wait for it than to call ahead. Never timed it but it doesn't ever seem like a long wait and the product is a landmark of consistency. 12", $13.50 now. $4.50-$5.50 in the late 1970's. I've lived around here in stretches now and again for 50+ years and this place is always the same as it was when I was in high school. For a small, independent bar-pizza joint, that's really impressive. But this place deserves some kind of a plaque. The small cheese pizza these folks put out today is photo-level consistent with what they put out in 1970. Ordinarily I would accept that I may have a little wishful brain fog about the crust and the sauce and the cheese being identical but that's also what I see when I look at comments. So, I may pick one up this afternoon. What's described as the cracker style crust holds up pretty well but it's still best all-around when eaten in the store. Haven't eaten one while sitting at the bar right after it came out of the oven in a long time but if I order it when I get there, 1 diet Pepsi later I'm walking out the door. That's pretty close.

When you think of wings at most bars, you expect something decent, maybe a little too breaded,…read moremaybe drowning in sauce, good enough with a drink but nothing unforgettable. Glen Flora is not that. These wings genuinely outclass the usual bar standard, and they do it without trying too hard. The first thing that stands out is the crisp. Not a thick, heavy crust, just a light coating that gives you that clean crunch when you bite in. A lot of places overdo it and hide the chicken under batter. Here, the texture actually works with the meat instead of covering it up. And once you get past that crisp exterior, the chicken is seriously juicy. Tender, flavorful, and cooked the way wings are supposed to be. The hot BBQ sauce tastes exactly how good barbecue should: smoky, a little sweet, familiar in the best way. But the heat is what makes it special. It doesn't overpower. It lifts everything. The spice sharpens the sweetness and makes the smokiness pop a little more. It feels balanced, like someone actually thought about the flavor What surprised me most? I was there with a few friends, and normally that's all laughs and conversation. But once those wings hit the table, I caught myself zoning out, focused on what was in front of me. I was in my own little world. And at $1 per wing, it almost feels unfair. I ordered 15... and honestly? I should've ordered more. These aren't just "good for bar wings." They're just good. Crisp, juicy, balanced, and way better than you expect walking in. Rating: 8.7/10

For sure it's nothing fancy. There's pretty slow ass service but there's also fun times. Bar had a few people in it but we found seats and got menus. It's got about what you expect with okay prices. There's nothing to eat really that good but it's not bad though. Bar has TVs so usually it's okay watching games awhile. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The usual stuff like Jameson. It's about $8 for an appetizer. The Pretzel Bites were simple yet still took a long time. Basic things with cheese or mustard. They were slow again getting our bill so it was even more of a wait. Finally they brought it and we could leave. There weren't even many customers in there. Imagine what it's like when it's busy. This isn't the place to go if in a hurry. Has a pretty nondescript location by some auto garages. It's got a pretty basic menu with greasy things including pizza. This is located at the intersection of Glen Flora Avenue and Walnut.

While I consider myself a foodie, I had little interest in driving around the Waukegan area the night I visited Anastasia's. At first it appeared to be a great choice--myriad people in the bar area talking, eating, and reacting to the televised game. I ordered a glass of wine to start; the pour was rather skimpy. Tempted to order another, I realized a single glass was on the border of my daily alcohol per diem?! I decided to forgo the pizza special for wings and cheese curds. The resulting dishes provided a healthy amount (see picture), however, taste (as other Yelpers note) was average. When you rack up $55 for cheese curds, wings, and a glass of wine, AND you leave feeling 'meh'--for me, Anastasia's is an easy, "Well, I tried it..." experience. I think my next two visits for work will be branching out to the surrounding area for alternative dinner options.
