The burger was tasty and I enjoyed it. Also the french fries are homemade and taste like it. Why can't more restaurants have fries like these rather than the frozen out of the bag kind? The 1/2 order size is large enough for 2 people to share. Finally their chili here is legit. Yummy! There is no doubt that this is a quality burger and fries eatery. Add in the chili and you will be happy when you dine here. My only negative is the price. No combos here so you pay list price for each item. With my double burger, 1/2 order of fries, small chili, drink, tax and tip my lunch was about $30. Yikes!

One can order in two options: using the self-kiosk, or going to the counter where there is someone there to take your order. Having both options available is rather convenient. For my food, I got the Famous Meal #1: Italian Beef Sandwich. However, I came prepared: it was going to be personalized to be the perfect meal. FIRST: make it big ($2), then add sweet and hot peppers ($1.98), mozz cheese ($.89), and ordered slightly wet. For my sides, I opted for the large onion rings ($4.99), and in addition --- this is A LOT -- I got the famous Chocolate Cake Shake (additional $6.19). If you were going to get a normal meal, it would probably cost you about $14.57. Mine -- with all the add-ons? $26.88. Take that into consideration. How was the food? Portillo's is definitely the experience many Chicagoans have heaped about. I LOVE MOD PIZZA! My family and I really enjoy eating here, but today was very special! I brought my mother in to try y'all today. My kids were just gonna explain it to her on how the order works but one of your employees said, "NO!" She was my the crusts and she could see my mother was getting frustrated. She explained everything to my mother so kindly and calmed her nerves. She helped us all the way down to the register. My mom asked about the purple lemonade and she explained that too. When my mom said nevermind she'd just get water. She gave her a cup anyways for free and said, "No, try it. It's your first time and it's too good to pass up"! When we sat down even my kids said she was great. When they call our names my kids got most of the pizzas but she brought my mothers out to her. My mother older and has been sick for a while. When they called her name my mom was getting up because my kids were making drinks and my hands were full. Her kindness brought her to tears when she brought her food and Parmesan when she asked. Was having a pretty shitty day Christmas eve all change when I walked in here for lunch was greeted when I walked in and saw two friendly people behind the counter was my first time there didn't know how to go about placing my order but the little lady behind the counter explained to me how it all work the guy behind the counter ask me how my day was going and I told him that it was awful and we had a conversation wile the two of them worked together to make my pizza they were fast and the pizza tasted good wile I was eating the guy was picking up lobby and ask how I was and if I needed anything and how the experience is for the first time I told him I felt like part of the MOD family and ask for the two names he gave me nate and brandy he also gave me Tyler Pam and Romeo all of which made the day a little brighter.. worth every penny. read more

I love this place and I always get great service! Everyone here is super friendly and I come here about once a week. Although my service hasn't been perfect every time they always make up for it. One time I went here with my family and all our pizzas were burnt at the bottom. We told the staff and they made us all new pizzas and also gave us a refund on our original purchase. The other time they didn't call our names and our pizza weren't warm. We told the general manager and he gave us a coupon that we could use to get our exact order the next time for free. They have great pizza and I always come back because the service is phenomenal!! read more

I really love Mod Pizza, what I didn't like was for the soft opening I felt as though we were being rushed. We were asked 3 times if we were done while my wife and child clearly had only a couple slices eaten out of their pizza.
